  1. I'm not sure what to say, though. Mine has been fine, loads those GIF avatars quickly. Same with Jessica's laptop. My brother's computer doesn't have the problem, either, and it looks like everyone else on the site doesn't have it. Did you disable avatars? Or maybe you just didn't want to?
  2. New rules for round two: 1) 16 lines max. 2) At least one of those lines must be about your opponent's favorite sports team (basketball, football, etc). 3) One line has to end with your opponent's display name on OTR. You can exclude numbers. 4) Cussing will be censored if you decide to use it. Don't bypass the censor with asterisks or other symbols. 5) If you say Dick Vitale's first name, please censor it yourself by typing [expletive]. In the manner it would be used in this contest, it should be filtered out. NOBODY ELSE POST IN THIS TOPIC UNTIL THE SECOND RAP IS ADDED. After both competitors are finished, members can place their vote. Please explain your vote. The lower seeds (in terms of position) go first. Based on this match-up, Confidence will be asked to post his, followed by Legacy. You have two days to post. Good luck, fellas. Run yo mouth!
  3. Is there a page for each schedule, or do I need to go to each team's site for that?
  4. LMAO, he never quits. I'm glad Phil isn't a part of my family, or a friend. I would hate sitting in a room, in a full-blown discussion, over anything with him listening. He'd be picking at my brain so much, I'd probably develop aneurysms.
  5. I'm a Raiders fan, so let's find the absolute fastest player in the draft, hands down, and select him...doesn't matter if he's a back, receiver or a kicker. Just take the speed demons!
  6. Kobe has looked like a mortal through the first 46 minutes of games because he's been playing with an avulsion fracture in his index finger, a dislocation on the same shooting hand, a swollen knee, twisted ankle and back spasms. 2008-09: 26.8 PPG on .467 FG, 5.2 RPG, 4.9 APG, 1.5 SPG 2009-10: 27.0 PPG on .456 FG, 5.4 RPG, 5.0 APG, 1.5 SPG All things considered, not much of a difference in the general statistics. If those are numbers by a "mortal" in the basketball world, I guess the bar is set pretty high.
  7. Five games max. Roy won't be playing much after that first game. That knee is going to bleed and swell. Stupid, stupid idea to play through that tear.
  8. Just passing information from Chad Ford. And yes, I'm 99.9% sure it's a coin flip. You're right. Basically, Toronto and Memphis have seven and six combinations, respectively, but the same record. Therefore, as you said, it splits and averages, and since the average isn't an integer (because you can't have a half of a combination), you do the coin flip.
  9. That would suck, because the Kings are in our division. Imagine if the Knicks get the #1 pick. Imagine a trio of Wall, LeBron and Bosh. KEEP DREAMING, KNICKS FANS.
  10. Yeah dude, I don't know why I gave you the forum link. You were bound to see it anyway. I've been up all night, controlling low blood sugars, so I think I'm asleep right now.
  11. Am I the only one that thought it was a second kick in the teeth when the ball literally came down and hit him in the face?
  12. Beaubois is good, but he doesn't bring as much to the table as Lamar. Odom can be an elite rebounder in the NBA, he can play four positions on the floor (and defend three of them), and he's a nightmare for anyone thinking of leading slashers to the left an entire game, because his left drive is too tough to defend. Can't say I'd make that trade. Over the last year or two, Odom has become vital to our success, especially after he accepted the bench role.
  13. That's all fine, but you're not considering other factors, like how many teams swarm Monta Ellis when he has the ball. Ellis sees many, many more doubles than Martin. It's not even close. Ellis has more turnovers because he handles the ball much, much more. I'm sure I can find two players with a difference in PER that you probably would question, similar minutes and roles...but I think you know that. By all the stats you can give me, Kobe Bryant isn't even a top five player in the NBA, and Wade has probably blown him out all season long, even pre-injury, using your statistics...but we know better than to make a judgment based on that. By the way... http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/forum/26-5-miami-heat-team-forum
  14. Why would any of those numbers (especially PER and TS%) determine that Kevin Martin is the better player? Here... Rodrigue Beaubois PER: 18.59 TS%: .617 Jamal Crawford PER: 18.50 TS%: .573 What does that mean?
  15. A lot of people are dead-set on the Rams snagging Bradford with their pick, and Suh following him. I'm interested in the QB slot, to be honest. There are a lot of them that can fall within the 2nd-3rd rounds of the draft.
  16. He'll definitely get drafted, no doubt in my mind. I'd bet money on it. I wouldn't say a first or second round pick is good, though. That would be a waste. HOWEVER, a late third, or anything after that? Maybe a good decision. Tebow isn't your ideal NFL QB, but he's got the attitude and the drive to change that. It may not be likely, but let's not throw him into the pile of trash that is reserved for guys like JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf.
  17. While I think Monta should've been an all-star (because you shouldn't be able to average 25/4/5 and NOT get in), I think he may be not so much of a product of the system, but of the poor team he's playing for. Ellis does quite a bit for the Warriors, but his role on the team is sometimes so large, it hurts the teammates around him. It's a big reason why I think the Warriors would be better off dealing him to a team that will dish out a big, so Golden State can allow Curry to run the team. With that said, Ellis is a better offensive player, and he's also a better defender, than Kevin Martin. I would explain, but I don't think anyone really needs to. Just watch the two play.
