Well, I usually don't give credit to anyone doing a good job on Bryant, because most of the time, that "good job" is a product of team defense. I think Battier has done a good job, but he hasn't really shut him down at all. Ron Artest did once, but it was a fluke, and a lot of that was due to Houston's zone. But Roy has done a very good job defending Bryant, individually. So has Arron Afflalo, and Bruce Bowen (when he was playing). I'm more convinced with Roy, though, even though Afflalo has been doing similar things all season with other players. Defensive-minded players are impressive, but when you're a defensive-minded player that can also give the team 20+ points and run the offense, you're rare.

If You Laugh At This, You Are a Terrible Person
Real Deal replied to The Artesticle's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
I'm just looking for a legit source that actually says she didn't have it. While I think she was faking it as well, there's nothing that tells me she was. -
Oh most definitely, because paying taxes for better streets in your city is more important than helping out others who you may interact with at work, some family members, friends, some fine girl you could pick up a disease from, or anything in between. And even then, why would anyone want to have free medical care? Hell, it's always better to choose that second best option, and not only that, but pay a massive chunk for it as well. Who cares if it all adds up for you in the end? You're the healthiest person on the face of the Earth until something happens to you.

The government will never, EVER limit a diabetic in that way. They can't tell you how much insulin you are allowed to take. There's absolutely nothing to worry about. The only limit they can give any diabetic is how many bottles of insulin they can buy, based on how much they take daily. For example, the Lantus insulin is taken once or twice per day, and it's always the same amount (I take 20 units of it a day). The pharmacy is required to ask me how much I take per day. There are 1,000 units in a bottle. Because of that, I'm allowed to buy a new bottle of Lantus every month (because I believe shelf life is also 30 days). If a diabetic was using almost 2,000 units a month, they would be allowed two bottles...simple as that. There will never be a restriction on how much insulin you can take per day. This bill doesn't do it, and no Medicaid/Medicare state program does it. Insulin usage is based on how each individual reacts to it, their blood sugars, diet, and overall body of work. Limiting diabetics in that manner would kill many people within months, if not weeks. Not a chance.

Your link isn't correct. Go click on it and look at the difference, once the video loads up. That's the correct link. http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=0FaCPnPhzqA That's the one you gave us. There are no pound signs in the URL.

Did she really fake all of that? I read a couple of blogs saying that she did, but never found an article from a legit source. -
Hahaha. Click through them really fast, trying to leave out the "breaks" in the action, and it's funny as hell.

[Completed] NBA's greatest shooting guard?
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in General NBA Discussion
Michael Jordan. I don't think he's a better overall player than Kobe, total offense and defense (I don't think anyone is in the history of the game), but I think that the six rings and the regular season and Finals MVP's are enough to boost him above Bryant in the rankings as a greater two-guard. That could change before Kobe's career is over, but Jordan still has him if we're asking who is greater. -
[Completed] NBA's greatest small forward?

Larry Bird. Greatness does include personal and team accomplishments, and for the same reason Kobe hasn't surpassed Jordan as the greatest two-guard ever, James hasn't surpassed Larry as the greatest small forward. -
Battier is starting to suffer from old age. His defense was excellent in Memphis, and Gasol was as soft as ever back then. I would say that Brandon Roy is closer to a Scottie Pippen than anyone else in the NBA. I said this about Granger last year, but he's falling off the map...just too inconsistent defensively. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201001080POR.html He defended Bryant that game, and he was amazing. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200912200MIA.html This was the second game a few weeks after the Heat beat the Blazers, and Roy switched over to Wade for the entire game that time around. I actually remember this one because I saw the interview where he stated he just tried to contain Wade and force him into bad shots. Also, Wade was suffering from back spasms a practice before the game, but they didn't seem to bother him for the first two quarters, where he tried to attack the basket. I think you'll remember that game. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200911160ATL.html There was the game that Roy forced Johnson into taking over 30 shots. I remember one where JR Smith was forced into 23 shots, shot 39% while doing so...and I think that was the game Billups was injured. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200911010OKC.html That game above is where the Thunder fans were booing like crazy, because they kept thinking Roy was fouling Durant. At the end of the game, Kevin was 3-20 from the floor. Roy is an excellent defensive player. Everyone benefits from a big. We could all say Rondo definitely does, especially with Perkins sitting up front as well (with Garnett). As far as Dahntay Jones goes, I didn't see him as a top five defensive player. He's nowhere near Afflalo's level. Jones was a hacking machine, and he got away with so many hand-checks, elbow taps, jersey grabs and wrist-holding than anyone else in the NBA.

Gotta go with the Suns Gorilla as well. I believe he's just one of two to be a playable character in an actual video game (Benny the Bull being the other, NBA Jam...right?). There's a reason for that.

LOL, that's bull[expletive]. The government doesn't do that with your insulin through Medicaid or Medicare. Instead, they require that you tell them how much insulin you take per day, and that gives you restrictions so you don't go and get 30 bottles of it for $90, sell each bottle for $90 with no prescriptions, and make money. It'll be the same with this. Misinformation is ruining this country. I don't know who all is saying what, but it's very clear that people are being spoon-fed this massive amount of BS, and assumptions are coming from those who have no prior experience with government-run health care, let alone be in a situation where that care has saved their lives, or they are relying on it every single day to live. I could go on and on about it, but nobody will listen to those who actually know something. People like me are the idiots that do crack, heroin, reproduce at massive rates, and live off the system and everyone else's taxes. [expletive] people like me.

Be sure to bold your vote, then follow it up with an argument as to why you believe he is deserving of the vote.

[Completed] NBA's greatest power forward?
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in General NBA Discussion
My vote goes to Tim Duncan, and it's not even close between him and Garnett. Second would be Malone, followed by Barkley, KG and McHale. Tim is just too good, fundamentally. Offense, defense, just too much to handle for anyone, and his accomplishments, both team and individual, surpass everyone else considered. With that said... Duncan - 8 Garnett - 1 Hill - 1 Duncan wins. -
