  1. What killed Mitt tonight was the fact that he continued to agree with Obama on a LOT of things. My girlfriend's dad was pretty pissed off about that...started calling Romney a Liberal, lol. The indecision is what will decide this election. Romney is leaning too far from where he truly stands, and it's all an attempt to gain support...but in the process, it's making him look more like a liar. If he really wants this, he has to stay true to what he has been preaching for years, and play along with his party, or else Obama is going to burn him.
  2. I didn't consider that, actually. Makes a lot of sense...but now my question is, where does that leave Chandler? Would Melo really see enough time at the four to make much of a difference?
  3. The worst part is, their two most important players (one on each end of the court, Curry and Bogut) are the two we expect to suffer a season-ending injury at one point or another. I just really want them to stay healthy, despite being in the Pacific, because I'm interested in how they will do with everyone on deck. Instead of experimenting with 30 different lineups, maybe they can go much less, only having questions at the three (Rush, Barnes, Jefferson). I mean, they are basically locked in with Curry, Thompson, Lee and Bogut, and how long has it been since we've been able to say that about four of Golden State's starters?
  4. He hasn't talked much about it since the second debate, actually. You'd think he would pound that into everyone's heads when he's on the road, but I have a feeling he may want to avoid mentioning it because of how bad he slipped up when assuming Obama didn't speak on the incident a day after.
  5. I have a sound bar, but if I was using the TV volume, I'd have to say 48 because I like to hear Romney breathing heavily into his mic. You?
  6. Romney was praying the third would be centered around the economy. This could be ugly for him.
  7. I'd like to drop it all back into the main forum, but I merged them into conferences for now. Maybe others can weigh in on this as well.
  8. See ya at the top of the mountain soon, buddy.
  9. Simply put, Melo is more likely to have the ball in his hands on the perimeter, since post players get ignored every now and then, and Melo doesn't want to be that guy who has to call for the ball (instead of coming to get it) and rely on someone to throw a nice entry pass into the post. He knows he plays better that way, but he also realizes he's going to have to be a better teammate, and that's not in his DNA. If Melo was a better facilitator, I wouldn't have a problem with his decision to stay at the three...but he isn't.
  10. Taylor and Danny, you two can continue helping if you like. We just need one weekly topic, and at the beginning of it, a listing of the games (maybe details, such as time and TV). Something like... Oakland @ Kansas City (4:00 PM ET, CBS) Denver @ New England (4:10 PM ET, FOX) Should be much easier than creating 15-16 topics, also, haha. And, all of those weekly topics should be pinned in the NFL forum (main one), previous topics unpinned and moved into the archives once the new ones are created. Thanks guys.
  11. Let's go ahead and do this. At this point, I'm not even sure if it was a good idea to expand the NFL section. I think we would have better discussion with just one major forum, and a topic pinned, each week, for Gameday.
  12. I don't know. It didn't seem like Kobe ran through him hard enough to knock him down and send him sliding. Maybe if it was Shane Battier, but Cousins is a big, big man. KB is probably the strongest player in all of NBA history, though, and Cousins is lucky Bryant didn't do to him what he did to Chris Childs, and attempt to break Cousins' hand with his neck.
  13. Yao Ming was the MJ of China, so of course the two are on different planets when it comes to that...and in the process, most NBA fans are going to hand all of their votes to CP3, Westbrook and Nash (who I forgot about when mentioning Lawson...could be hard for him to get in now). When Yao was playing, he was a top two center in the NBA, and even I was voting for him. When he racked up all of those votes, despite the injury, he was already established and the clear-cut best center out West, when healthy, so I think it was a statement sent his way, ultimately. If Lin can have a full NBA season resembling the chunk he had back in New York, maybe dialing down on the turnovers even a hair, then he's got a huge chance.
  14. Ah, yeah...him and Gasol were battling for position, and Gasol gave him that PauFlop. I remember it now, lol. Cousins was just frustrated the entire game. He set a screen on Kobe in the first quarter, and Kobe ran him over...but even worse, Cousins fell as if he was 150 pounds. Then, later in the game, he set another screen, raised his elbow, and got Kobe in the upper chest region (almost in the throat), and they had words for each other after that. DeMarcus just lets his attitude get the best of him, and when he's frustrated, he sees no reason to ever pass the ball, and he starts missing easy shots from close range. As far as Tyreke goes...yeah, he's done with Sactown, and I'm sure they are going to be done with him. Again, I blame both parties...Evans for not being a man and just doing what he's paid to do, and the Kings for playing him three positions and not understanding how to utilize his skillset.
  15. I thought he only had three, but that was early in the second quarter, and the entire team had like 14-15 fouls with nine minutes to go in that second, lol. I think the Kings grabbed Howard maybe three times in that half, one to prevent a lob from connecting and two in order to prevent two wide-open dunks.
  16. Lakers' bench outscored by Sacramento's bench, 57-18. Can't wait to trim this roster, and have our bigs rotating to where they can be out there the entire time.
  17. Would we see more posts about these NFL games if we created one gameday topic each week? We run through numerous gameday topics with no posts in them, and sometimes, I feel like people just don't want to click in there and talk about a game if there's nobody else active in it. In a single topic, for all games each week...you can discuss as many games as you want in one post, and maybe that will trigger better discussion.
  18. Everyone looked lost out there, once they started running those deep sets into the Princeton playbook, LOL. Turnover city. Our bench didn't even run the offense...not sure what they did, honestly. Brown stuck Sacre, Jamison, Ebanks, Meeks and Duhon out there all by themselves, and I was feeling bad for Jamison, haha. Wish I saw more from Thomas Robinson...and DeMarcus Cousins is a cancer.
  19. Artest drove to the rim, from 24 feet out, completely uncontested, for a layup. WTF. LA has attempted about 40 lobs already, lol. This is nuts.
  20. That makes sense. But, okay...you're telling me that Bynum will secure boards and play defense, and he has guys that will get out and run, and those boards will ignite the break. Bogut is a good rebounder, can pull down double-digit boards every game, and he plays defense. The Warriors will run the break. I'm not really sure what the difference is, regarding this.
  21. Wait, are you saying the Sixers aren't going to slow down and play through Drew as their primary scoring option?
  22. They have a variety of options, and I think that's what can make them tough to beat...not necessarily a dominant offensive team, but just a nuisance. You have a point guard that can distribute and shoot (which is ideal), and a two-guard that could be one of the best shooters in the league. Lee isn't your traditional post-up, back-to-the-basket forward, and he loves cutting...while Bogut is the complete opposite as a big man. Barnes can create his own shot or play off the dribble, but even more beneficial, he's a solid defensive player, and you get that out of both him and B-Rush...not to mention Rush has proven he can be a productive offensive player if he's given quality minutes as a third option (just sticking that out there). A team with that much to defend, all 24 feet of the floor, any angle...it's going to be a tough match-up. Bogut doesn't necessarily have to run with these guys, just like Bynum won't need to run with Holiday, Turner and Co. in Philly. The difference is, though, Bogut isn't a guy that's going to drop 20 for you every night, and his presence will be felt more on the defensive end...and that's something the Warriors have been seeking for years. Golden State has been in the top half of the league in offense every single season since 2006, but bottom half of the league (and mostly, bottom ten) on the defensive end since 1994 (1999 doesn't even count as a season, to me). I won't worry much about their offense.
  23. I have a feeling Atlanta will dangle Josh Smith out there, as trade bait, before the deadline...and he'll get a taste of those rumors very early, realize he's not staying in Atlanta, and may not put out enough to land that All-Star spot. Could be the opposite, if he really wants to stay, but I don't know. Wall makes sense, but the Wizards have to win games. Lawson is going to play for a new contract, and he now has Iguodala as a teammate (and Iggy has been facilitating for quite some time now, so the load will be lifted a bit), so I'd stick him on this list. Will anyone be surprised if Anthony Davis gets in? I know the fans will vote for him, and Howard will take the starting center spot...but will his defense land him a spot, despite the Hornets' record, and will the coaches be swayed by the fan vote?
  24. Fox News should be booted from the TV, and MSNBC is getting bad at bashing Romney...not as bad as the grudge that Fox holds against Dems, but the gap is closing. MSNBC has a couple of shows that make me want to cringe. For politics, CNN is my channel. I will flip between the others, though, if there's breaking news about a current event.
