  1. I'm starting to wonder if I could score 30 in an NBA game, as long as I'm on the Warriors.
  2. How many points will Jarrett Jack score? a) 20-25 b) 26-30 c) 31-50 d) 51+
  3. Haha, that's actually good to see, man. I'm sure everyone here can say they are glad to have you around. I am reaching 5,000. Ridiculous, haha. I had 30,000 on the old OTR.
  4. Just re-install Firefox. It could even be Java...who knows. Java has been screwing up for a lot of people lately, so maybe re-install it as well. http://www.java.com/en

  6. Pau has already asked for more touches, just last month. This is the same thing. Kobe was the only reason we were in the game through that fourth quarter, since everyone else was too brittle to fight for the first three quarters: 74-64 at the end of the third, 7-15 for 18 points before missing the attempted game-winning shot. What does Gasol suggest Kobe does? We were down ten after Kobe threw six assists in three quarters, with 15 shot attempts. If you'd like to know what Gasol did in the fourth...he had two personal fouls, a flagrant foul, a dunk (assisted by Bryant), three offensive boards and two tip-ins, a missed layup and a defensive board. Bryant (the selfish one) led the team throughout the entire game not only in points, steals, and rebounds, but also assists, racking up a 34/7/7 game while turning the ball over just one time (less than Gasol's three). Against a contender, it shouldn't be the Bryant show, it should be the Lakers show. If Gasol wants more touches, shots, or better ball movement, he and the rest of the team will need to move without the ball, establish position deeper in the post, roll out of screens correctly, and stop passing the ball to Kobe with three seconds left on the shot clock when he's 25 feet away from the rim. Gasol attempted 13 shots yesterday. He averaged 13.7 FGA per game during his career in Memphis, as the primary option, on a team with few scorers. 2/23 vs. Memphis - 18 FGA 2/24 vs. Dallas - 9 FGA 2/26 vs. Philly - 17 FGA 2/28 vs. Denver - 14 FGA 3/2 vs. Indiana - 11 FGA 3/4 vs. Miami - 11 FGA 3/5 vs. Charlotte - 14 FGA 3/7 vs. Orlando - 13 FGA That's 13.4 FGA per game over the last eight (since Bryant's return), on a team with multiple scoring options. Just to find someone to compare that with...Dwight Howard is averaging 12.3 FGA in his last eight, on a team with multiple scoring options, and the Magic are 7-1 through those eight. Gasol is also shooting a hair under 49% in the last eight games...three of those games, he shot under 45%, and two of those three, he shot under 37%. If he wants more touches and more shot attempts, he needs to step his game up.
  7. Right. What I'm saying is that Garnett would never do this to anyone bigger than he is. You can rule out Zaza Pachulia, I guess...but everyone else is Garnett's size or smaller (most of the time, smaller).
  8. There goes Garnett again, running his huge mouth and starting trouble on the court. IF Blatche wasn't so skinny, Garnett wouldn't be doing this...but it's the usual from KG, mouthing off to either a point guard, a skinny player, or some foreign stiff.
  9. Try going to C:\Program Files and finding your Java folder. Rename it to "Java1" or something different. Go here and download and install Java: http://www.java.com/en See what happens then.
  10. http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe Download that, install it, then run the program and "uninstall" (remove) the programs from your computer that you don't need/want. (I know it says MS Office update, but don't worry about that) If THAT doesn't run, then someone would have to dive into your registry and fix it manually. Since you don't live near me, I can't do it. You COULD try and stick in your Windows CD and run the recovery console (reboot with it in the system) and have it check system files for errors. Maybe there's a problem with file associations, and it may have something to do with a system file. Sounds like the registry to me, though.
  11. Yeah, it's something to be concerned about. Dallas is the one team the Lakers should watch out for out West, and I believe Kobe even acknowledged their potential improvement when they made that trade for Haywood (most important piece in the deal) and Butler. We don't need home court to beat 27 other teams in a playoff series, but we need it to take out the Cavaliers, and I'm starting to think we'll need it against Dallas, unless Bynum steps up and plays like an all-star.
  12. Darren Collison, without a doubt. I don't even consider it close, to be honest.
  13. Houston has to start winning games like this, or they can kiss the playoffs goodbye. Having three guys score 20+ every game won't get it done if they are going to allow 150 points.
  14. Haha, you like rooting for the underdogs, don't you?
  15. Yeah, Roy was bad on both ends of the court, really, and everyone knows how good of a defensive player Roy is.
  16. Saw maybe five minutes of the game...and it looked like the Sixers played small and ran the hell out of them. And Sonny Weems is a PLAYER. I love it. Big loss for Toronto, though. Although they did fall to 6th, and I said that would be best for them...the loss came against a team they really should've put to sleep at home.
  17. To be honest, he's probably one of the more intimidating players in the league, both as an opponent and as a teammate. As great as it would be having someone like him as a teammate, learning from him and winning with him, it would probably suck just as bad, because I'm sure he puts high expectations on everyone, lol. Dude might be more serious about the game than I thought, haha.

  19. Thought this was funny, Lakers fans... http://i45.tinypic.com/59ucms.gif Beast.
  20. That was pretty sick. Chris Manning (LD2k) has been doing Kobe Bryant Trailers for about two or three years now. I like the idea, don't get me wrong...but man, I love those 4-5 minute mixes with music a little more, especially when all the dunks and shots are in sync with the song playing in the background. Still cool, though.
  21. OKC pulls it off. Westbrook didn't do much in that first half, but he was great for the Thunder in the second half, and the Kings just couldn't keep up in the end. Good win against a decent home team.
  22. Leave it to Ray Allen to close it out. He may not be playing like the Ray Allen of a few years back, but he's still dangerous when the Celtics need a shot.
  23. Can't say I like this for Boston. They need to get younger, and add more defense. Finley will get smoked by other two-guards, and Boston doesn't need that at all. Do they really need the bench production? He doesn't really bring much. They have Nate, Sheed, Davis and Daniels coming off the bench. I'm not sure what they were looking for in Finley.
  24. I don't think Howard would've left Gasol. He gave him the space, but if you watch the replay, it wasn't to fill the lane for a driving Kobe, but to run out to a shooter to his right if needed. Otherwise, Howard was a little over an arm length away from Gasol, and because he's not as big as Shaq, he would've ran over to Pau quick enough, had Kobe decided to drive. Orlando (and in particular, Dwight Howard) has excellent help defense. Kobe could've driven a bit more to pull up for a shorter shot, but to be honest, I would've rather seen him shoot a three to try and win the game. That's money for him, and Barnes may be able to contest it, but he can't have a negative effect on Bryant's accuracy when that clock is ticking. This team doesn't know how to move without the ball anyway. Our defense is excellent (there are holes, though), but our offense is ugly, middle of the pack. We don't win a championship like that.
  25. Looked as if they did to me. If not, my bad. He still landed right in his face, and he was getting in his face all game long. Doesn't matter anyway. Barnes isn't Bowen, Battier or Artest, so it's no big deal.
