  1. Probably not. Good point. Right, but I really don't think players care about that if they are in Battie and Simmons' positions. They just want to hold the trophy and sport the ring. If HOF'ers Karl Malone and Gary Payton could, they'd run to a team and play 10 minutes a game just to get a ring.
  2. The Thunder and Bobcats. One has an offensive player that is too difficult to contain and a point guard too athletic to ignore, and the other is dominant defensively. I don't know if the Lakers would have trouble against OKC, given that we have a dominant frontcourt and the best scorer since MJ...but Phoenix would struggle with Durant and Westbrook, and I'd imagine Dallas would find them a tough play in a seven-game series, as long as Green is doing his job against Dirk. Charlotte can beat any team out East if they are at home. Unfortunately, they won't have a top four seed, so you can expect them to look like the Bulls of last year's playoffs, in need of just one more home game.
  3. I know I was pissed because LeBron dominated him, but looking at everyone else who Artest has defended...he's got to be right there with Dwight Howard as the best defender in the league.
  4. I wouldn't trade Rubio that quickly. He could turn out to be a better player than Flynn.
  5. You take Wall, doesn't matter what you do after that. John Wall is a future superstar, a better prospect than what Rose was when he came out of Memphis. You don't pass it up. Every team takes Wall.
  6. Prostitute fees build up quickly.
  7. Wow, a blowout. I forgot what those were.
  8. Makes sense, really. You have to expect this, though, with the CBA issues putting the league in a bind, and the economy the way it is. There was a statistic from a while back, showing that almost 50% (or maybe more than 50%) of all retired NBA players need to find jobs within five years after their last game (I THINK that's how it went).
  9. Damn straight. Stick his bad ass in that category with Ersan Ilyasova.
  10. If you can put a crew together, it's all yours. No joke.
  11. Orlando should win this game, but I have a feeling they will struggle with Curry. If the Warriors start racking up points on those huge runs they can go on, the Magic could find themselves chucking shots just to keep up, and that might be a problem. No preference here...but I'll pull for Orlando in hopes that they somehow catch the Cavaliers in the East.
  12. Yeah, the NBA is a huge, huge chunk of your life. Too much traveling, and that's probably what got to him: being too far away from his daughter. If the Sixers played every single game in Philly, or wherever his daughter is (is the fam still in Georgia?), then things would be easier.

  15. It's been over two days. Fish7718 advances.
  16. Hey, that's what he told me, at least.
  17. Hmm...back-to-back for Denver, playing the Lakers last night. Otherwise, there's no excuse. The Nuggets needed this win. I believe this drops them to the 3rd seed.
