  1. Shannon Brown is using Bryant as a passer on one dunk, and using DJ Mbenga for another. Actually...what if Mbenga "tried" to block Brown? What if the dunk was to posterize your teammate? That's never been done before, and that would be pretty sick. :o
  2. A team with Wade, Rose, Noah and Deng contends. As of today, Miami is struggling to stay away from a first-round sweep against the Cavaliers. If I were in Wade's shoes, I'd be looking for homes in Chicago right now. He probably already has one, given the fact that it's his hometown.
  3. Fisher wouldn't be THAT bad, really, because he'd make the shot on the first attempt each time. The players aren't exactly running full speed when they do it, either (as you have to dribble around the player silhouettes, or whatever they use). Fisher's problem would probably be the passing, though. He would probably choke hard on that bounce pass.
  4. Banners Roster pages Team sites Signature gallery Player profiles You guys know I'd love to participate. I think I've been in every one of them, actually. I just can't this time around...just keep putting off stuff I need to finish.
  5. That's not how it was back in the early 2000's, 90's and 80's...and that's why it's upsetting to watch, sometimes. Jordan wouldn't have it any other way. Personally, I think you should play to win. Guys can go have fun making trick shots and nice off-the-glass dunks five minutes after their practices every day.
  6. Durant should be starting at the two. The East is going to run us to death.
  7. Rip or Jamison to Cleveland would be hell for the Lakers. Hamilton is still one of the best off-the-ball players in the NBA, and an excellent mid-range shooter, while Jamison is the borderline all-star upgrade over JJ Hickson. It's two players that give the Cavs what they need, and I'm sure they won't have to part with much to acquire either of them.
  8. I could actually argue that Gasol is nearly on Dirk's level right about now.
  9. How is this a bad trade for Boston? C - Perkins/Sheed PF - Garnett/Davis SF - Jamison/Butler SG - Pierce/T. Allen PG - Rondo/House/Daniels Boston trades a capable 20 PPG offensive player for two capable 20 PPG offensive players, and they still retain their defensive players in Rondo, Garnett, Perkins and Tony Allen (and Pierce, who is decent defensively). This makes Boston a very potent offensive team (and they are sitting 13th in the league right now), and may just slightly bump their defense down a bit (ranked 1st in the NBA at this point, possibly top five by the end of the season). The best offensive team in the NBA, top five defensively...you don't beat that, no matter who you are. STUPID trade, Washington.
  10. HEY YOU GUYYYYYS! Sublime, La Bomba, whatever you want to be called...please answer these.
  11. I don't see how 81 doesn't get on that list. The Lakers were down 24 or so as well. How many times in your lifetime will you see a player score 80+ in a game? One could argue that should be filed under player performances...but then again, so should a handful on that list.
  12. Awesome, I have four Celtics to choose from! What do I select if my favorite player out of the division was Brook Lopez? It's actually Bosh, but I'm just curious...
  13. Yeah, Wallace is playing out of his mind this year, and you can't really say he's just boosting his stats on a bad team. He's one of the best rebounding small forwards I've seen since Charles Barkley (who could actually play both forward positions most of his career, as does Wallace).
  14. 1) LeBron James 2) Kevin Durant 3) Carmelo Anthony 4) Gerald Wallace 5) Paul Pierce Gerald Wallace is averaging 19 points, 11 rebounds, shooting 48% from the floor and plays excellent defense. All of that is better than what Paul Pierce is producing for Boston.
  15. Maybe he'll do a Thriller pose in mid-air, before he throws it down. But seriously, I hope it's not just him wearing the Thriller jacket...but that's what I think will happen.
  16. Wow, man, Curry went OFF. As much as I like Ellis, Golden State needs to trade him for a very good big who can play in the post, and let Curry take over in the backcourt. Those two can't run together. And what's up with Tolliver and Morrow? Curry - 36 points, 11-22 FG (50%) Tolliver - 29 points, 11-16 FG (69%) Morrow - 26 points, 9-16 FG (56%) Wow.
  17. If Monta Ellis is truly injured, I understand. I just realized he didn't play last night against the Clips, so maybe that really is the issue...and maybe he would've been inserted into the lineup had he played, but I doubt it.
  18. On what planet? http://i49.tinypic.com/nqs76f.jpg And the last time Shaq was in the playoffs, he averaged 15 PPG, 9 RPG on just 44% FG while getting CRUSHED by Duncan, who averaged 20/15 while playing injured.
  19. MONTA ELLIS IS GETTING ROBBED. Nice to see Lee get in, though. He deserves it.
  20. It's funny because this is one way to hook up with girls. You don't get pictures of them unless you dish out the photos first, and if they see something they like, you put your foot in the door.
  21. Rondo crashes, the Celtics crash. You can't be surprised by this.
  22. If the MVP was mostly about the individual and given to the best player in the NBA, Bryant would've gotten it numerous times over the last decade, and it would be warranted by his play. I'd say both LeBron and Durant are playing better than Bryant right now, but if all three were healthy, Kobe is still the more complete player. Billups was never the best player on that Denver squad. Value is related to individual play and talent. Every GM in the league would take Carmelo Anthony over Chauncey Billups, and that defines value. Right now, the award is a three-man race, and there isn't a fourth involved. LeBron, Durant and Kobe...in that order. Once Bryant becomes healthy, he'll overtake what Durant is doing on the floor and will be side-by-side with LeBron in the race. With that said, I still hope Durant wins it, if Bryant doesn't grab another. Wishful thinking, though.
