Yeah, but that happens everywhere, even in Boston. A lot of that may be Lakers fans, too...but there are other team fans that cheer for Kobe dunks and long scoring runs he has, or 26-foot threes. Kinda stupid, really. I like LeBron, but I wouldn't cheer for him like that if he were playing against the Lakers.
-
Wow, just pull Fisher already, please. Stick Farmar back in, or Brown, or Sasha...just get Fisher out of there. And while Bynum rebounds well, he's also not doing a damn thing offensively, and his defense sucks. It's usually always just one good thing, a few bad things. We're going to lose if Kobe doesn't catch fire.
-
Haha yeah, but the Grizz commentators were making it a big deal that he was playing better than Fisher...when really, that's not that big of a deal, lol. Fisher is just terrible.

GET ODOM IN THIS GAME. Man, Kobe isn't hitting anything now. That usually means it's going to be a close game, or a blowout.
-
Yeah, he never really did anything for Memphis. A lot of people still think he's the one that made the Gasol trade, actually. The Lakers aren't in sync once again, offense or defense. It seems to be like this every game. I wonder if Kobe will need to hit another game-winner here, as usual.
-
He's getting hit on most of them, but I'll just say that he's been bodied and hit more times by other teams, with no calls (as you saw with Boston, especially with Tony Allen on him). I just can't say he's not getting fouled, though, because a lot of those shots would go in if he wasn't getting touched. Away from that topic...it's too bad Jerry West isn't the GM of the Grizzlies now, or at least in the building, because Kobe's getting the record tonight.
-
Guess it's just against the Grizzlies then, because in 17 January games, he shot double-digit free throws just twice, and 11 total times in the 48 games they've played all season long.
-
Yep, against the Knicks. And there was another time, where he passed it to Lamar, and Lamar tossed up a 17-foot airball.

Bryant Is 28 Points From Lakers' All-Time Mark
Real Deal replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
He'll lay off a bit, unless he's needed. He wants to set the record at home. -
I still don't get how anyone in the Philly FO didn't know this was a bad signing to begin with. Eddie Jordan was terrible in Washington. People blamed the players, for the most part, but the blame should've went both ways. I'm not even sure why he tries to run the Princeton offense. Does he even know how to coach it? Even then, his rotations absolutely suck, and he definitely has no interest in coaching defensive strategies. Ugly coach, ugly coaching.

Milwaukee Prepared to Make Moves?
Real Deal replied to Jenneral's topic in Milwaukee Bucks Team Forum
It's tough to see free agents wanting to run to Milwaukee. Jennings is no John Wall, so he's not going to be the guy that attracts potential star teammates, such as Amare. Hell, even Evans isn't on that level. And Bogut is no Howard, either. People will want to play alongside teammates they feel they can contend with for 4-5 years or longer (the length of their contract), and it's hard to see anything like that happening in Milwaukee. Why not just make a run at Amare before the deadline? Put anything you can together to pair him up with Jennings, and hope that it propels the Bucks into the playoffs. Then, you can throw a max contract at him and hope he re-signs. If not, so what? That suddenly puts you in the FA market. Win-win, really. -
Raptors Move Up to 7 in ESPN Power Rankings
Real Deal replied to BasX's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Improbable, but not impossible. The Celtics are hitting a big wall...almost too big to climb over or drive around. If Toronto can keep winning, they may find themselves trailing Boston by about a game or so. I'm not really surprised that Toronto is doing well, though. They've made a few adjustments to their lineups that I like, and I think Jack is playing amazing basketball for them now, and it has changed the way Calderon is playing. -
If the trade goes down and Haywood ends up in Houston, where does that leave the Rockets with Yao Ming next season? Would you say that Yao Ming becomes expendable? He has a player option for next season, $17.6 million, that I expect him to take.

Kobe Has NBA's Most Popular Jersey

Rose's jersey will probably drop once Wade finds his way to Chicago next season. -
Mayb u guys can give me advice..

Gotta find someone else to co-sign for you. That's all you really can do if you want a brand new car. I guess you could go to a few dealerships that aren't as well-known (you know, like "Carl Landry Auto" instead of running to a Mazda dealership). Sometimes, those dealers will work with you as long as you have income rolling in, and they'll help you get financed. You probably won't get a brand new car, though...but you can still get something nice. -
It's actually true, and one told me yesterday that he won't be posting much because of it. But, with that said, I really don't care. To me, that's a pathetic excuse. If you're truly dedicated to the site, you don't leave for ignorant reasons.

Hmm... Knowing that Amare may leave, you wouldn't trade him for Artest?

Houston-Washington Trade Idea
Real Deal replied to AboveLegit's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
I'm talking about if they end up re-signing him. -
That's true, and with that said, it makes it much easier for coaches to defend the final shot in a game. Stick two on Bryant and jump in his face. Game 4, against the Suns...Phoenix stuck Bell and Diaw on Bryant, their best defender and a big man, and they knew he was going to take it. Since Shaq left, I honestly don't believe Phil (or anyone coaching them at that time) has changed the sideline-out play that gets Bryant the ball with five or less on the clock, and it seems like teams are sitting two players on his shoulders every single catch he makes. It may be just me, but I would rather have one guy on me, and 2-3 capable clutch shooters on my side, than to have two guys on me, a team that knows what's going to happen, and four other teammates that are either not willing to take that last shot, or just capable of throwing up an airball due to being so nervous or, basically, terrible at basketball.

Houston-Washington Trade Idea
Real Deal replied to AboveLegit's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
If you're so concerned about the pick, make it lottery protected. That would definitely change the trade, though, and I doubt Washington falls for that. The Wizards aren't going to be a big-name team in the free agency period, though. New York, New Jersey, Miami, Chicago...those four are the ones with the biggest chance of landing LeBron, Wade or Bosh...so bringing McGrady on board (well, his contract) is either to save money next season, or the Wizards' FO hoping they can rake in one of those second-tier free agents. As far as McGrady fitting in, I don't see it. He would need the ball in his hands to be most effective, slotted into the roster as a point-forward, but that takes the ball out of Gilbert's hands. You can't have both. Even though Gilbert stated that he was going to change, he never did...and without the ball, McGrady would have to be a spot-up shooter, and we see how bad that is with Mike Miller right now. But, pretend that Washington wants it. They will want a big, also...and that big will be Scola. They would play small ball with him at the five, giving them time to continue developing guys like Blatche and McGee. From Houston's standpoint, you dump McGrady and bring in Haywood and Butler. It's an excellent trade. -
I second that.

Golden State @ Oklahoma City
Real Deal replied to alcstarheel's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
Good win by the Thunder. Durant went nuts, almost hit 50 (expected him to). Westbrook had a helluva game too, got to the line more times than Maggette did. :o OKC needed this win, though. They have to stay in that playoff race. -
Your favorite team has the #2 pick in the 2010 NBA Draft...
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in NBA Draft History
LOL, I would love to see that. If they don't get Bosh back, and "replace" him with Montiejunas...the Raptors would allow 150 PPG. -
Your definition of inconsistency is different than mine, then. Simply put, he has as many bad games as he does good ones, and there is really no reason why. He doesn't play bad against specific teams, home or road, nothing really matters...the numbers just vary off and on, and that's inconsistency, in my opinion, defining it to a "T" in fact. And Flash, I don't know. Spoelstra was doing a great job early in the season. From what I've seen, the only bad move on his part is not playing Wright. Dorell isn't an all-star player by any means, but he could be a very solid role player for them. I'd much rather point fingers at the team at this point, mainly because his rotations were working when the Heat were the top team in the East. Spoelstra didn't really change. Players just became tired, lineups were changed because of bad play, and the Heat couldn't maintain their composure in the clutch, which has actually lost them a few close games, including the one against the Cavaliers.
