  1. I'm really shocked the Thunder pulled it off in Atlanta. Big win, especially when they are in that dogfight for the eighth seed out West.
  2. Man, we were awesome with Gasol and Odom in there, and Bynum benched. Bynum was out there for the third, and we blew it, ended up being down nine. Gasol, Odom, Kobe, Brown and Farmar seemed to be our best unit on defense, and Bryant was distributing the ball much, MUCH better with them out there (and passing was excellent as well). Bynum just seems to be a ball-stopper. He holds the ball way too damn long in the post, and you know he won't pass it. Sucks.
  3. Could be a close game at the end. Texas keeps trying to get back in it.
  4. Yep, I think the Jets can pull this off, and I hope they do.
  5. In other words, he's going to show up, jump in at the last second to shock the crowd, and win the contest. And Gerald Wallace? Really? Eric Gordon shouldn't even be in the "dunk-in" to begin with, either. Sad that the league can't put in real creative dunkers. GO SHANNON BROWN!
  6. Comes on at 9:00 PM EST tonight. Anyone smell an upset?
  7. I wasn't expecting this many, actually...and I think that means we may have many more, so I'm going to go with what I thought about yesterday: we vote in those that belong in the gallery, and take all others and stick them in forum for OTR promotion signatures.
  8. Caron Butler. I feel like Kevin Martin is the bigger chemistry-killer, and Butler would more likely defer to Bosh than Martin would...can't be too sure of that, but Butler HAS played as a second or third option before, where Kevin hasn't.
  9. I actually think Brett Favre shouldn't went for the two-point conversion on that last TD, just so this article could be more relevant.
  10. Nah, I just saw the profile comment. Clutch was banned for more than what was going on in that Mo/Westbrook topic...after I made my post in here, he was posting on Matt's profile. I just did a simple search of all the posts and noticed that there were a few in profiles that were unnecessary, plus more on the forums (mainly from Matt). Both were suspended, but since Clutch was already banned before, that suspension was it for him.
  11. You're suspended for five days, for a personal attack on his profile page that I had to delete, plus 2-3 other personal attacks across the forums.
  12. Now he's gone, on my time. And if you left the site because of him, you can stay gone as well.
  13. I thought I made a post about this already. See ya.
  14. Post more like you're debating the topic and not talking to your best friends on a drunk night. That's also a final warning. I've made it clear to everyone, so now things will get right, or else I'll make them right on my own.
  15. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/8772-carlos-boozer-vs-david-west/page__view__findpost__p__88825 http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/8627-gilbert-arenas-vs-brandon-jennings/page__view__findpost__p__88830 http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/8764-mo-williams-vs-russell-westbrook/page__view__findpost__p__88827 If people are having a difference of opinions, they are legit topics. You can read each of my replies on the subjects in the links above. Now, if I need to go quote every single post from him, and then every single post from others starting [expletive] with him, I will. No non-staff member on this site has any say in whether a topic is legit or not. No one. I pick staff members to do that, not everyone else. My registration page doesn't question your IQ when you sign up. Additionally, new members don't need the approval of anyone else when they register, unless I've turned admin approval on for all accounts. I've banned a few guys who I can say were definitely on the weaker side of many, many debates...but, for some reason, were favorites here because of the way they post, so let's not start giving lame excuses as to why you'd want a member banned. My dedicated members will stay. Five years of this, and it's well-known that dedicated members endure. This isn't even an individual problem, though. This is a problem with acceptance, and there is nobody here that makes that decision other than me. You run this board, you pay for it, then you do it. If that's not the case, you're SOL. If you want someone banned, and you're not on this staff, you better quote the guideline(s) being broken, provide examples of this (along with links), and prove that nobody is baiting that member into it. If the moderators have to do that, so do all of you. I'm going to assume this won't be a problem anymore. In fact, I suggest that it isn't. Everyone involved needs to man up and get over it, stop throwing hissy fits, stop taking indirect shots at each other, stop posting ignorant and irrelevant posts, and stop causing trouble here. I don't have time for it, and I won't make time for it much longer.
  16. Four for Arenas, three for Jennings. Legit topic. I would've said Jennings earlier, but it's tough for me to go with that now. He's just too inconsistent shooting the ball. The only problem, though, is that so was Allen Iverson. So, in that case, I have to look at Jennings' overall impact. He doesn't give the Bucks 30 points a night, like Iverson did for the Sixers, so the comparison is off to the right at this point, and I have to go with Arenas, even though he's really not shooting as well, either. This is removing his suspension and his gun charges from the discussion, by the way.
  17. Four votes for Williams, five for Westbrook. Looks like this is a legit question as well. Williams is the former All-Star point guard (although he wasn't exactly selected), but Westbrook is a better defender and does more with the ball, despite the big turnovers he makes during the game.
  18. How are the Jazz more relevant than the Hornets? Utah is 22-17, the Hornets are 21-18 after going 8-2 in their last 10 games. David West tries to play defense. Boozer is terrible on that end of the court. It's a good comparison, really, and it's no surprise a Jazz fan thinks that West is the better player, as he's watched Boozer more than anyone else here.
  19. Most of Jackson's catches were with Revis elsewhere on the field. I'm going to just say that Dallas Clark better be ready to catch a lot of passes next weekend, because I don't see Reggie Wayne dominating.
  20. I don't know why, but those slow-motion replays of Romo getting drilled are cracking me up. My brother is laughing like crazy, also, so that helps, LOL.
