  1. It was only one game, and we're 23-5. The Boston Celtics lost to the Sixers the other night, and I can write just as many flaws as you can about the Lakers based on that one game, but that doesn't mean they aren't the favorites to win the East. The only thing wrong in Los Angeles is our starting point guard, and Bynum's confidence once Gasol returned. Fisher plays no defense and he's a no-show on offense throughout most of the game, while Bynum doesn't know how to box out, chases every point guard to the rim (thanks to Fisher, also) and leaves bigs open for easy buckets because he's looking at the ball more than he is his own man. I don't care about a Christmas loss. I only hope that Kobe stays healthy for the entire season, that's the main thing for us. Without a healthy Bryant, we are dead in the water.
  2. Enjoy all the games, and I hope you guys had or are having a Merry Christmas.
  3. I spent almost $700 total on everyone, and my brother spent $600. Just some of the main things I bought... Women's Columbia coat (for my girlfriend) Seasons 1-7 Family Guy (for my brother) clothes and a crockpot for my mom clothes and a massage/heat seat for my dad clothes for numerous family members (meaning...tons of them)
  4. I hate Derek Fisher, and Andrew Bynum is horrible on defense. They both need to wake up.
  5. For some reason, everyone in my family AND Jessica's decided to buy for me, like I was a 5-year old. I ended up getting... iPhone Air Force 1's UFC Undisputed (PS3) American Eagle sweatshirt Nike socks Norelco shaver mouse (other one broke the other day) Nike sweats Nike sweatshirts Jordan shirt Sony headphones The Strangers DVD AXE body spray, gel, shampoo, body wash CD/DVD wallet
  6. 13-0 in OT. Good chokejob by the Kings. And Evans just grew cold, Adam. He broke away from LeBron three separate times in the last seven minutes of LeBron defending him, including that wicked fake in the paint that almost left LeBron in the second row of fans, but he bricked his shots. I can't give LeBron credit for that. In fact, on that last attempt at a game-winner for Evans, Cleveland decided to double him on the perimeter.
  7. Chill out on the personal attacks. You're one of the very few people that believe it to be true. Even Pierce said it wasn't, and made fun of it on Kimmel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5xcocsIYlc Not sure what else you need to hear.
  8. Well...he's not the "lead singer", so I'm not sure who else he wants to be.
  9. Troy has missed nearly the entire season. Big difference there. And Big Ben wasn't carried out, then returned the same game. In fact, I can't recall seeing any player, in any sport, carried out on a stretcher or in a wheelchair, just to come back that same game. I didn't see the entire Knicks game, but I'm sure even Reed didn't go out like Pierce did. It was a solid acting job until he returned, and I believe he even admitted he was acting on Letterman, Leno or one of those shows.
  10. Anyone playing it yet (for the Wii)? I don't have a Wii, but I'm just curious...is it really fun? I'm guessing they don't have Mike Tyson. Who else did they leave out?
  11. Huge bump. Is anyone else still playing this game? I finally started winning fights against top fighters in Expert difficulty, lol. I've been able to crush guys like Mark Coleman in Expert for a long time now, but beating someone like Silva or Penn was incredibly tough.
  12. No, what happened was Derrick Rose lost his meal ticket in Ben Gordon, who bailed him out constantly, and drew defensive attention away from Rose. Now that Deng is the primary option, the best defensive guards can focus on Rose, and that's why he's struggling, and so is his team. It's already looking like Rose will need to be someone's Robin for his entire career. He has blown at least 3-4 games this season, by himself, with ignorant plays (passes and shots), including his weird attempt at a pass late in the game tonight.
  13. He was only here to blast LeBron and to take shots at non-Lakers fans. It was only going to get worse, as he was suspended a few times on TheLakersNation (the site I administrated for) for fighting with members. I don't have time for it. When I get 3-4 members messaging me about him trolling, and my admin already warns him and it's my turn to step in, I don't care if the member posted 3,000 times in a day. No amount of posts are worth the trouble.
  14. You're here to bait all non-Lakers fans, based on your comments about LeBron and your statement about the Lakers being the only team that deserves to win the championship this season. You belong on an all-Laker board.
  15. They need a true leader, a good coach, AND a scoring post presence.
  16. Then it's an even better comparison, as Turiaf doesn't have a ring.
  17. Haha...so what Shaq did was acceptable and in good taste, but LeBron does isn't? It's because Shaq was a Laker. How about asking Kings fans if it was in good taste? Ask asian Houston fans if they were happy with what he said about Yao Ming. Simply put, if LeBron was a Laker, it would be "in good taste" in your opinion, just as it was when Ronny Turiaf was dancing around and acting like a complete idiot on the bench when he was with us. I'm done with the topic.
  18. I saw it scroll at the bottom of the screen on ESPNEWS, as I flipped through the channels.
  19. Shaq? He's a four-time champion and arguably the most dominant offensive player of all-time.
  20. Kobe will attack early, to neutralize what Durant may do, but I hope the Lakers go to the post quite a bit, especially with Gasol, as Green will be defending him. Jeff did a decent job on Dwight Howard, but Gasol's offensive game is more polished, so strength won't always slow him down. As good of a defender Ron is, I hope Bryant is on Durant most of the game. Kevin isn't going to take anyone to the block all game long, so maybe Bryant is the ideal defender here.
  21. The Clippers sure could use Blake Griffin this game. This should be a good game, though. Gordon is an underrated defensive player, and he'll be flipping back and forth between a few of Houston's scorers this game, maybe even defending Brooks at times, and the Clippers have a big enough frontcourt to manhandle a smaller Houston team, although the Rockets could just run them to death tonight.
  22. Still no Dirk? I don't think Portland can blow this game like the Cavaliers did. The Blazers will be more than aware of what Dallas is capable of without Nowitzki, so Roy and the Blazers should be able to control the tempo and take Terry and Kidd out of the game.
  23. It may not be that easy. How's Smith's injury? Minnesota has a couple of bigs that can easily establish deep post on Josh and even Horford, so it may not be so fun against a team that the Hawks may even take a bit too lightly to start the game off.
  24. Zach should have another big game, maybe even Gasol. I don't see Memphis doing much with the likes of Monta and Maggette, but I just think the Grizzlies have too many weapons for a team like the Warriors, who struggle defending all positions.
  25. The Bulls just need to focus on dominating the glass and creating open looks off of Rose's penetrations (if he'd actually do that). If things turn sour, Rose has to attack the rim and score at will on the Knicks' guards. He's too fast and athletic for them.
