  1. Welcome back Kyle. I'll try and find Morbid Love so I can hook you two up.
  2. http://www.pe.com/sports/basketball/lakers/stories/PE_Sports_Local_W_lakers_12.4943b99.html Man. http://sports.mobile.msn.com/en-us/articles.aspx?aid=10513282&acid=2&afid=0
  3. So far, at least...pretty interesting. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/stats/rpi?season=2010&sortColumn=sos
  4. I'm not sure if LeBron can play with a true scoring big. I haven't been a big fan of LeBron's game off the ball to begin with. I think he stands and waits. Wade proved he can do it with Shaq (who was better than this year's Shaq, obviously), but I'd have to question if Wade can actually facilitate the triangle offense. I think the Lakers have built the nearly-perfect team around the nearly-perfect player, with just the right offense to put them over the top. Kobe's game has been molded to make him the model triangle player, and with the debate still there as to who the best player in the league is, I can't say that you can't get any better than Kobe in this particular offense.
  5. Hell of a combination. Tell your friend's chick to hook him up. "Hey Jana, get Jake a Handjob and some Fresh Balls this Christmas." Post the result of that conversation in here.
  6. Dude looks like a monster. I wonder what a match between him and Lesnar would be like, assuming Brock returns to the octagon someday.
  7. I'm not really sure if it's just Troy's injury causing problems. The last I've seen of him, he's not playing on offense, and the Steelers can't score. It's true that defense leads to easier offense, but there's no reason for Pittsburgh to score under seven if they have guys like Big Ben, Holmes, Ward, and a young and talented Mendenhall filling in for Parker.
  8. A member from BTA was suspended earlier today, so he decided to try and deface their site by coming over here, adding links for them in his posts, and also an additional surprise: a picture of his naked boyfriend. We matched IP addresses and took care of it.
  9. He guessed: Shaquille O'Neal Larry Bird Spiderman Not bad. That's a LOT of database work. Cool site. I saw this about a year ago, but I forgot all about it.
  10. One of the two (LeBron or Wade) would be smart to go there. LeBron would play the three, obviously, with talent surrounding him. C - Kaman PF - Griffin SF - LeBron SG - Gordon PG - Davis Wade would play the point, and the Clippers would either trade Baron, or bring him off the bench (it would take quite a bit to convince him of the latter). C - Kaman PF - Griffin SF - Thornton SG - Gordon PG - Wade Both teams contend if Griffin stays healthy. I wouldn't be surprised if the Clippers snag a 3-4 seed with either of those five. But I take credit for this idea. I've been saying this since the night Griffin was drafted, so the LA Times needs to grab some new ideas.
  11. Honestly, that was one of the worst choke-jobs I've seen all season, so far. Jamison shot a three for no reason, Arenas can't connect on either free throw, Arenas takes a long three that he shouldn't be shooting, and Foye launches a fadeaway three with plenty of time left on the clock to find an open shooter. Plus, you don't shoot that three so early in the shot clock, anyways. You run time off if you're Washington. Flip Saunders doesn't coach defense, and Haywood is the only player who wants to defend, so you don't give the Celtics time to win the game (assuming you connect on your shot).
  12. I'm actually quite surprised Jason Kidd never pulled it off, being the defender he is.
  13. With that said, I'll come up with something that will give all staff members an opportunity to help, along with a few non-staff members, possibly.
  14. Word has it he did it because McGuire wasn't contributing to the team, like Joakim Noah. http://i50.tinypic.com/28s0bpk.gif
  15. Ball movement, Orlando? Those jumpers being missed are allowing the Jazz to run up and down the court, getting easy buckets in transition. If the Magic don't start pounding the ball inside again, this 11-point lead will feel like 22.
  16. Kobe, LeBron or Wade. I wouldn't want to defend any of those guys by myself. Since Kobe is the better defender of the three, if I had to pick one, he gets the nod.
  17. They are still contenders, but they have plenty of holes to fill. Shaq is a liability on pick and roll situations...we all know this, and it has been that way since he weighed 330-355 pounds in Los Angeles. On offense, the Cavaliers aren't going down low to Shaq. They don't run the offense through him...and they are right in not doing so. The only problem with that is that it puts only four active Cavalier players on the floor (yes, not technically, but you get the picture). Basically, when Shaq isn't touching the ball, he isn't involved in the offense. His job is to gain position in the post, demand the ball and either force his way in for a simple hook or dunk, draw a foul or kick it out to shooters. Shaq doesn't fit. If you have a player like LeBron, who feeds his shooters, you need bigs who are able to hit shots, or at least move out of the paint. With Shaq clogging the lane, you force James to the perimeter, he loses another 18-foot threat (because Shaq and Varejao shouldn't be taking 18-foot jumpers), and the defense doesn't have to collapse in the middle, making it that much more difficult for LeBron to make a play. This was the same exact problem in Phoenix, and everyone should've realized that from the start. Nash wanted to hit his shooters, get his layups off of screen and rolls, and have a teammate to throw oops to out of them. Shaq was slow, he was too big, liability on defense, just didn't fit well until he started getting the ball dumped into him constantly. It turned Phoenix into a completely different team, they allowed tons of points in the paint against a Spurs team that dominated them inside out, and they had no shot at a conference finals because of it.
  18. ...and everyone was pouncing on Iverson's play against the Pistons? Billups sucked on offense, embarrassed on defense by Bynum, and above all that, they lost to a below-500 team in Detroit.
  19. As far as adding more staff goes, please don't worry about it. Things like this...they happen. The guy posted 50 topics or so in 15 minutes. The site can't have moderators on every 15...that's just unrealistic and only happens on RealGM.
  20. I'll see if I can find you guys another common IP, because I'm getting a few guests viewing both sides, yet neither are registered on the site... And no, it's not BTA's fault. My guys know how this is...so no worries.
  21. IP Address: 96.227.210.37 City: Philadelphia State: Pennsylvania ISP: Verizon Internet Services Inc. Host Name: pool-96-227-210-37.phlapa.fios.verizon.net Draw your own conclusions.
  22. By the way, I would say that Wall is a Derrick Rose clone, especially after watching him play college ball. When he gets into the league, he's going to need to be with a team that runs, because Wall can get to the rim, and finish, better than most guards at the collegiate level right now...but running a half-court offense, I don't know if he would be able to in the NBA. It just limits what he can do on the floor.
