  1. You missed seeing him dominate those high school guards, then. He's going to be pretty good.
  2. I'm getting less and less worried about Boston every game they play. They came out looking good, but I'm starting to see Sheed is just terrible, Garnett's rebounding is down, and the Celtics are having to rely on Perkins a lot more than I expected, and that's going to be a problem when Bynum and Gasol are playing the center positions. Yeah, Boston beat us in 2008. That was without an all-star center in Bynum and a very good defender and spot-up shooter in Ariza. I'm definitely not going to bite my nails over the Celtics.
  3. McGrady has never been a lockdown defender. Lockdown defensive players on the perimeter would be Ron Artest, Bruce Bowen, Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd, etc. McGrady would never, ever get his name mentioned in that group.
  4. Wow, that fourth was amazing. 28-6, and that 27-2 run. Didn't expect that.
  5. Wish I had all of them, but when I reformatted my computer, I lost quite a bit (one of the DVD's I burned didn't work, and it had all of my OTR stuff on it, which is why we lost our old backups). The only banners I have are probably the previous ones, and maybe one other style...and I've changed banners three times in 2009 alone.
  6. You know the league is weird when the leaders in blocks and rebounds are both true small forwards.
  7. Don't even read past that. If you want an example of how stupid this article is, go look at the Spurs being below Houston, Oklahoma City and Utah, and look where Charlotte and Detroit are. His projected wins for the top teams are Boston and Orlando at 58, and the Lakers at 57? No 60's? He also goes on to say Denver and Phoenix have a better chance of winning it all than Boston and Orlando. Never read Hollinger. His articles are worthless.
  8. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/7475-mitch-rolls-colgate Didn't go to school with me, but I know him.
  9. If KG's knees are bugging him, you won't see it until April, and it'll be against bigger, heavier players that take him down low in the post. That's been the deal with almost everyone recovering from knee injuries that play the C or PF positions. Those knees will hold up for 80 games, but that's around the time they start hurting, and once he's asked to defend someone like Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol or even Zydrunas Ilgauskas, he's going to have to make sure he's not holding his ground with the back leg being the injured one, so he may have to adjust and rely on help defense from Perkins.
  10. None of them. If we weren't in the triangle offense, though, I'd take Iverson and start him over Fisher.
  11. Keep in mind that it's not 100 greatest, everyone...but his favorite 100.
  12. Wow, well, I could've called that last play by the Grizz. You knew it was going to happen. Shaq has been a liability on the pick and roll since his time with the Lakers.
  13. Jennings back to his shooting woes. He's gotta step it up soon, or Milwaukee will eventually lose that lead.
  14. Look at this...Gerald Wallace's games this season, from most current (DEN tonight) to the start of the season. vs. DEN - 14 reb vs. PHI - 14 reb vs. NJN - 20 reb vs. BOS - 8 reb vs. WAS - 14 reb vs. CLE - 14 reb vs. TOR - 13 reb vs. IND - 11 reb vs. MIL - 10 reb vs. PHI - 12 reb vs. ORL - 9 reb vs. POR - 8 reb vs. DET - 6 reb vs. ORL - 9 reb vs. CHI - 9 reb vs. ATL - 18 reb vs. NJN - 20 reb vs. CLE - 9 reb vs. NYK - 15 reb vs. BOS - 12 reb How many games under eight boards? One? :o It's not a full season yet, but he's one of the best rebounders I've ever seen at 6-7.
  15. Wow, Gerald Wallace is an absolute beast on the glass.
  16. Take the battery out of the laptop, connect the laptop to the outlet and see how that goes. If it still doesn't run, go buy a cheap power cord (you can probably get one online, a generic brand, or somewhere else in your city). It's odd that the adapter is making noise, though. I've never heard of that before. Are you 100% sure it's coming from the cord?
  17. Great news for Houston. Yao sells, and he's also the best center in the league when he's fully healthy.
  18. Forgot Iverson was back in the East. Iverson, Carter...those two will get in due to fan support. Wade will start. The ballot asks for two guards, and you'll have yourself a third and fourth. That fourth will be: Ray Allen Joe Johnson Brandon Jennings Gilbert Arenas Rajon Rondo Mo Williams Andre Iguodala Then there are two extra all-stars voted in by the coaches, and that could be where Rondo gets in...but I wouldn't be surprised if the coaches choose Joe Johnson and Ray Allen for that, assuming they don't make it in the voting. Lots and lots of hype for Jennings, though. On RealGM, there are a ton of fans who think he may get in...and I wouldn't be surprised if voters try to slide him into that fourth slot, especially if the Bucks end up keeping that winning record with Michael Redd not contributing much.
  19. Arenas and Harris? Neither of those guys have a shot over Rondo. They are the supposed leaders of bad teams. If Kevin Durant and Al Jefferson couldn't get in last season, those two have no chance at it. And Mo Williams isn't near the overall player Rondo is. I hope the fans don't make a mistake by voting him in. I can't stand Rondo or the Celtics, but I have to call it like it is. He's a very good candidate for the ASG. Dwyane Wade (certainly going to get it) Ray Allen Vince Carter (more than likely, because of the fans) Joe Johnson Brandon Jennings (wouldn't be surprised, but Milwaukee needs to maintain their spot in the playoffs) Those guys are more likely to get in before Rondo, though. Rondo doesn't score enough, and he's the fourth best player on the Celtics.
  20. It has a lot to do with Gasol being out, though...just thought about it for a minute and figured it out. Kobe was in the post quite a bit, dipped into the paint and scored quite a bit. He'll eventually drop out of that top five by the end of the year, with Bynum and Gasol filling the post positions.
  21. I read somewhere that the Lakers' Bryant, Bynum and Gasol are three of the top five players in the NBA in points in the paint. What the hell...?
  22. Not worried about the Nuggets. We didn't have our full roster when we played them. You stick Bynum and Gasol both out on the court, and we pick them apart in a seven-game series once again, probably another 4-2 victory, or better. If Manu isn't healthy, the Spurs aren't a problem, either. Otherwise, they would be on top of my list of West teams that could potentially cause us some trouble.
  23. I just haven't addressed that yet.
  24. Iverson belongs in Philly. It's great seeing him out there dishing out of doubles. This is who they need...and now they need to toss Eddie Jordan.
