I understand that he's an all-star, but it's only the second quarter, you're only down ten, and he's not a superstar. Plenty of scoring options on the Magic, even with Nelson out.

Am I the only person who feels uneasy when Carter has the ball in his hands? Assuming I was a Magic fan, I'd be begging him to pass it a bit more. There was a stretch in that first half (near the end of it) where Carter threw up maybe 3-4 consecutive misses, and I'm not even sure if he was looking to pass at all. I really think he would thrive playing off Howard. I know Carter wants to attack the rim, or create his own shot...but he'd be dangerous playing off the ball.

Had to eat Thanksgiving dinner in a house full of Chiefs fans, and right next to the only Cowboys fan in the room. Imagine how bad that sucked. Stupid Raiders.

Al Thornton went 2-15 from the floor, and Chris Kaman shot 3-19, not to mention 6-22 between Butler, Gordon, Telfair and Smith. You can't win a game shooting 32% FG as a team, even when the Pacers are without Granger and shoot 37%.

Yeah, Charlotte was one of the worst teams in the league, scoring-wise. They really don't have much going on in that department, and most of their wins were due to the defensive efforts they would play (credit Larry Brown for some of that, also, haha). This game, it seems like it was just ugly from the start for Toronto. Those turnovers lead to easy buckets on the other end, frustration in the huddle, and the Bobcats becoming more confident as the clock ticks.

No Curry? I'll put Randolph if you want.

LOL, I actually had the original image (the regular hardwood), and a friend over at TLN edited it for a site he was working on, and he let me drag the background over here.

Happy Thanksgiving, guys. Go out and have a great time with your family (if you're celebrating today). Just be sure to jump back on the site tonight, because there are still some NBA games to discuss. Danny, it's all on you. We need an awesome Thanksgiving "sticker" that sparkles and shines.

September 11 Terrorists "Rights"
Real Deal replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
1) No judge or jury will find them innocent. They aren't being tried in Syria. 2) What terrorist will have a great defense? Most kill themselves to begin with, and if they don't, they are proud to admit what they did. Humans have rights. It doesn't matter who. I can beat some guy to the end of his life, with a bat, until he agrees to confess to a mass murder. Does that make him a terrorist all of a sudden? If it does, according to you, he's dead to us...and he goes to prison for life. How would that make surrounding Americans feel? How about surrounding countries? We're already in over our heads because of a war we can't win (don't even know what the hell we're fighting for, still), countries despise us, so I guess we might as well piss off the rest of the world any way we can. -
September 11 Terrorists "Rights"

Knowing they will be given life, we might as well give them a trial like everyone else. Otherwise, we won't be so lucky the next time some of our own kind (meaning Americans) are captured for crossing a border or, well...just for being in a country, as we've seen many times over the last two years. I'm not sure what your idea is, but maybe we should just hang them, record it, and broadcast it on live TV? -
Houston already has McGrady waiting to get back into the five. I'm not sure if they'd be willing to tackle Michael Redd, especially when he's not a free agent among the notorious 2010 FA class.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on with Mario. He was a pretty good man defender last year, even when he was playing at Kansas...but this season, he's letting guys go, not recovering quick enough or closing out on shooters, and his help defense isn't that solid. I think Beasley feels comfortable with his role on the team. Haslem is obviously fine with his, still contributing, so this season has been good to Beas (aside from the personal issue, of course, which turned out to be a good thing anyways). But you're right about the team watching Wade. You just have to remember that D-Wade will always be in that situation as long as he's not claiming an all-star teammate, no matter how good the supporting cast. Wade's penetrations make for open shots, and everyone on that roster realizes it. That's the reason why you have James Jones, Quentin Richardson, Daequan Cook, and even Udonis Haslem (guys that can hit open jumpers). They just need to play off the ball much, much better.

Removed the Iverson and Jackson banners, replaced them with Marc Gasol and Stephen Curry. Also changed the background to something more fitting.

Wow, never took a glance at their schedule. They did escape with some close wins, also (close down the stretch). Good point about Jennings, especially when you tie it into the lack of contenders they have played. Get him going against the likes of LA, Boston, Cleveland and Orlando, and you may see a different player come February. Bad thing for the Bucks...they have that easy schedule now, which means it's more than likely heavy on the other side, and probably the most important side, at a time when they have to make that push for the final seed in the East.
-
You can't touch it if it's in or above the cylinder. Wade's shot was going to be an airball (or so it looked), so in a sense, it was almost like an alley-oop pass to Beasley. They showed those three camera angles, and I don't see how it could've hit the rim...and if it had a chance, it would've barely grazed the front of it, so it would've been good anyways.
-
Yeah, Bogut would've done you guys some good. Jennings is going to draw a LOT of defensive attention until he gets back, especially after the way he's been playing. That nice record could reverse itself over the next 5-7 games.

Whatever you say. I suggest you figure out what baiting really is (on your own, since you don't listen to anyone else). Nobody was baiting you. I sure the hell don't care how you react to it, don't say ANYTHING to get a rise out of you because 1) your team means nothing to me, and 2) as a fan of that team, neither do you. I post about the Sixers because I don't want their game topics to have 3-4 posts in them. It's not my fault you guys have nothing to say after a loss (or even a win sometimes). Would you like me to be a dumbass and say that all is well in Philly? Would it be appropriate for me to say that Brand fits, even though it has been questioned before by the Sixers fans? Sign Iverson? Trade Dalembert? Eddie Jordan sucks? What do you want to hear? Don't confuse baiting with me being active in every team forum and team discussion topic. Furthermore, I'm not going to jock all 30 teams just to make you guys smile. Maybe some were sick and tired of you hating on Blasco's player rankings. Or...maybe you were just stirring up discussion, which is the point to begin with. I can talk about the winless Nets all day with Wali, tell him that Lopez doesn't play defense, say that they have been bitten by the injury bug, say whatever...and he doesn't blow a fuse. I've told Zach plenty of times that Al Jefferson doesn't play defense. MANY said that Artest was going to chuck shots and be a bad, bad fit for the Lakers, doing nothing more. Tons of people are saying that Calderon's defense sucks, almost every game. But yeah, obviously, the Sixers fanbase doesn't need my input. You guys can hold it down on your own. Hope those topics see activity, especially since it's all going to be positive posting from here on out. I'm out of this discussion. Flip it any way you want...floor is yours.

Denver shot 52% from two, 90% from the stripe, and 55% from three. That is an auto-win against a bad team.
-
MICHAEL REDD WITH 16 SHOTS. I understand Jennings chucking (sort of), but Redd is coming off the bench and should probably keep his paws off the rock for a while, especially when the Bucks proved to be doing well without him.
-
Didn't get to see a single minute of this game, but from the looks of it, the 13 steals and 16 blocks probably had a huge hand in Charlotte's blowout against Toronto. The Raptors couldn't buy a shot, regardless, so that definitely doesn't help the cause, either.
-
Surprised nobody was arguing about the ball being in the cylinder (it was short, by the way). Good win by the Heat. Most exciting part, other than the very end, was Jermaine and Howard about to throw down. Jermaine was pissed after that elbow in his chest.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/79488-nbas-top-five-misunderstandings Wrote that bad boy a LONG time ago, lol.

Trade Redd and bring in a third scoring option (12-13 PPG) and a defensive-minded player up front. My brain isn't working right now, so I don't remember what Redd's contract looks like...but if it's an expiring, you can get much more than you bargained for (but it's probably not, I believe it's two more years when I checked before I recorded the podcast, PO next year). Either way, the team is fine and can make the playoffs with Jennings, Bogut, and one more decent scoring option. They could've used Jefferson this season...would've been nice.

Don't spam, please. And Ben Wallas isn't an NBA player.
