LOL, that was pretty good...but I'm just not a big fan of making fun of things like that. I laugh at it, but parts of it (talking about how they died, ex. Griffin hanging himself) is going a bit too far.

He actually missed a lot of layups, which is very uncharacteristic of Kobe to begin with. Tons of layups. And as far as deferring to anyone, Kobe hasn't done that since the first dynasty. Without Gasol, we have to play Odom at the four, and that means we have no post other than Bynum. Odom plays like a two-guard, which is Kobe's position, and it doesn't help when Bynum is missing his three-footers and not getting good position under the rim. No point in having post play...and a team with no post play will not beat Dallas, just as a team with no guard play would have trouble beating any other elite team in the league.

Kobe wasn't the same as he usually is on offense, and when he's not catching fire or making plays for others, the Lakers won't win games against the top East or West teams. Gasol wouldn't have made a difference. We still would've lost. Pau only attempts 12-13 shots per game anyways. He doesn't draw enough defensive attention, and Odom (despite being in Dirk's face constantly) couldn't stop Dirk, so there's no way Gasol was going to, having to move away from the rim. How is 70 wins impossible now? Cleveland started the season 1-2 last year, still won 66 games. Dallas started their 67-win season going 0-4.

Kobe and Ron are the only two Lakers playing defense, and Shannon Brown is the only Laker getting anything on offense. There's no way we win like that, against any team in the league. Reminds me of the Pistons game we lost at home at the beginning of last season.

Yeah, not very many in attendance. That's the way it is in Philly also. Maybe people can't afford games anymore? Haha...no idea. Bosh has to find a way to start off games better.

Bogut had to have popped a few hydros or something, because he looks like he's barely awake out there. And this Sixers team is disappointing. They were crushed by Orlando, and in the home opener, they are letting the Bucks hang around? I'm really not sure if acquiring Elton Brand was the smartest thing for them anymore. He just doesn't fit, and they are really missing Andre Miller, by the way.

Charlotte is just a good defensive team. They know how to close the lane and force the Knicks into contested shots. They can stop the break as well. It happens when you have a solid defensive-minded coach.

Rose's jumper has improved significantly, ever since the middle of last season actually. I've been impressed at how well he hits them, both wide open and contested.
-
Well, Rose has already dropped a couple of guys with a crossover in just one season, and last night, he shook Parker out of his shoes...so I don't know. It's a little different if we're talking about being the best point guard ever, or the best point to ever play in Chicago.

Do you believe Zach Randolph will be the starting power forward the entire season, or will Hollins decide to stick him on the bench and go with Arthur, or even Gasol (with Thabeet starting at the five)?
-
How many more years would you say Jason Kidd has as a starter?
-
We've debated this before. After watching the Bulls/Spurs game, seeing how slow the Spurs can be on a back-to-back and how much trouble they had staying with a fast-paced, young team such as Chicago...would you say it's about time we write them off as West champs because of their age?

You know the drill. Ten questions, keep them appropriate, as well as the answers (let's not continue to do what we've been doing in some of them).

Both are capable starters, but which player is more expendable before the deadline? Camby's contract is up. Kaman is younger and more valuable, but is signed through the 2011-12 season.
-
What free agents, if any, do you see showing interest in Sacramento in the 2010 offseason? Who would fit in well with K-Mart and Evans?
-
List some possible trades/destinations that can be made for disgruntled Stephen Jackson, and the train wreck Yama knows as Corey Maggette.

Pippen on the Lakers winning 72: Reggie Miller on 72 wins: What do you think?
-
With Boozer's ability to play the center position, would you start both Boozer and Millsap, and bring Okur off the bench? Or would you start Okur, Millsap and Boozer (in that order down the five)? OR...is Boozer better coming off the bench as a sixth man for the Jazz?
-
Keep in mind that Andre Miller would not be in Portland, more than likely. C - Oden PF - Aldridge SF - Turkoglu SG - Roy PG - Blake

Remember all the discussion over the choice? I believe it was one of the most unpopular names of the bunch, which included the Oilers and the Bison. What do you think of it today?
