Ron visits one of my mods from TLN
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
They had a special about Ron and her family, and Ron's early career. Haha, nah. -
Well, so much for Boston getting crushed. Cleveland's offense turned upside down, and they gave up a double-digit lead. I think it has a LOT to do with interchanging Shaq and Ilgauskas, and playing small in the backcourt. It just changes everything on offense and defense. They'll have to fix that if they want to get to the Finals.

Haha no, but I did have Ron's. -
Haha, that's the second time that Rondo has been swatted by LeBron this season, the first being in the preseason.

Haha yeah, I was talking to her about it last night. -
Looking ugly. The Celtics are just slow, and they aren't finding Ray Allen.

Shelden isn't going to replace Davis' impact on the team. He's about half the player. Won't be shocked to see Sheed getting more burn, though, at the four and five. He'll be fine with that, I'm sure.

Chiefs' Johnson uses Twitter to slam head coach
Real Deal replied to Cobb's topic in NFL Gameday Archives
The reason for that is because he sucks more and more every carry, and the Chiefs would rather go to the air for guys like Bowe, who can at least make SOMETHING happen. LJ is done as one of the best backs in the NFL. Same with LT, the guy he was whining about getting paid more than he was. -
Chiefs' Johnson uses Twitter to slam head coach

It's the same Larry Johnson who was supposed to earn the same amount of money as any other big-name RB in this league, until he signed his contract. Now he's not even mentioned as one of the best. -

I don't care how much you hate him, you need to watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyKgaeAoa-g I'm going to say this right now: I have supported everything Michael Jordan, and he's my favorite player (tied with Bryant). I have always said that Jordan is the better overall player. But today, I'm seriously changing my mind. Kobe is the best overall player I've ever seen. You can argue defense, but his offensive game is matched by no one, and growing up watching Michael, I still can't say that anyone else is better...but Kobe is there, and I won't be the first to say he'd have eight titles with Phil and Pippen had he played from 1990-1998, and these discussions would surely be reversed. He's a better passer, he's a better shooter, better in-game dunker, and his arsenal of moves to the rim is far more defined than Michael's. It's weird of me to say that after supporting the opposite for so long, but it took a compilation for me to change my mind.

Amare: Nash-Stoudemire Era Isn't Over
Real Deal replied to Sun Tzu's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
I have to agree with Yama and Sean here. You just can't say, "Hell, I'll play defense this season." Nash has been a poor defender his entire career, and Amare is also a bad defensive player. If he wants to be less lazy, I can probably see him being average (because he did do well, inconsistently, against the likes of Duncan and Dirk), but average defense with a pathetic defensive point, pathetic defense at the two and no defense from Channing Frye...how does that translate into a good defensive team? The only guy dedicated to defense, and having the ability to play it, is Grant Hill. There are too many matadors on the Suns' roster, and in a league that is dominated by guards, Phoenix will get wasted without backcourt defense. You saw what the Spurs (preferably Parker) did to their frontcourt a couple of seasons back. Despite Shaq's inability to stop him and Duncan from scoring, Parker was able to get to the bucket like he was riding a dirt bike among scooters, and that's ultimately how the Suns were crushed in that series. -
Ugly day for little Manning, and Jacobs needs to get back on track. He didn't play too bad, might have played his best game of the season actually...but before tonight, I just expected more. Gotta get over those injuries. He scored his second touchdown of the season tonight, though.

Wow, so FINALLY, Smith gets to come in and show how much better he is at QB. A little too late, though. They should've started him and had him chewing up Houston's pass defense from the first quarter on, and the Niners would've won this game by a couple of TD's. Davis looks like he's ready for the Pro Bowl, and it was no surprise for me to see Crabtree playing well. The holdout never made him a bad player. Houston was impressive, though. They just need to cover better.

Maybe.
