Business opportunities = selling his shoes for $19 at Payless Shoe Source, beating out Al Harrington's shoe sales at Target.

Ah, sorry. "Because they buy their wins." Worded it wrong.

Man, some of you guys play this game a LOT. I've played a total of 25 games, I think...D-League and NBA games combined. I believe I'm in the month of February, on the Spurs, averaging about 11/3/5 on 46% shooting, playing behind Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, 60 overall rating.

You're combining civilized Christians, who don't shove religion down your throat and criticize you for not believing, with those that are adamant about turning you into a Christian, and telling you you're one of Satan's children. I don't like Christians that do that, and I don't like atheists that put me in that category. I believe in God. I don't believe it's fair that someone can call me ignorant and call the Bible a huge fairy tale without me slapping them right back, because that's what it is: a slap in my face. Combine logic and science for a minute. If something is left unexplained, science tells you it's impossible. Statistics tell you this, correct? So...if there's no answer for how the universe was created...then it's impossible that it was created? If it's still possible (which it is, or else we don't exist), then, technically, impossible doesn't exist once it's proven to be untrue, says logic and reasoning. So if you have an open mind, God isn't impossible. Neither is evolution. Same goes for anything. Science was created by man. The Bible was created by man. Statistics were created by man. Nothing is certain, and nothing is impossible, using an atheist's logic, OR a Christian's.

Seems like everyone hates the Yankees for playing in a league with no cap. Doesn't make much sense to me. I hope they win it all.

Love out 6-8 weeks, may need hand surgery
Real Deal replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
Ah...if it was any other site, I guess I would've figured that they would be more interested in the negative effect it would have on the Wolves' owner, rather than fantasy owners. -
Love out 6-8 weeks, may need hand surgery
Real Deal replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
Love's setback will be tough for owners that have drafted him? When did more than one owner draft him? -
The Kobe that dropped 81 was wearing #8.

Nah, I've seen quite a few bloggers make small mistakes like that...and, really, it's not that big of a deal to begin with.

No, I think there are other forms of life...but that's just it: I think. You think. Others think. Humans are the only things preaching science, I believe. If we all wanted to be technical, calculations were developed by humans...and technically, how do we know that rocks prove the Earth is as old as we think? In the end, we're all just thinking. This way, I'm talking like an atheist...right?
-
That's fine. I respect anything anyone believes. I just don't respect those who want to mock something else. Someone can sit and say, "Oh, wow, you believe in a god? A fairy tale like that? LOL." Then I can come right back and say, "WTF, you really think a scientist can tell the age of the Earth from a ROCK? How do they know how old rocks are? They can tell how old I am, exactly, by my skin?" I can do the same thing and disrespect others in that manner, but I don't. People can believe whatever they like. I don't force religion on anyone, and even though Christians are supposed to spread the word, I don't even do that. I just let people think for themselves. But when someone starts calling me unintelligent and ignorant for believing in God, that crosses the line. They should believe that I'd stick my foot in their ass if they called me that to my face.

Do you want Rush Limbaugh to own the rams?
Real Deal replied to reno's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
I don't like him at all, but who really cares? There's no need to make this a political or a racial problem, but the media will feast off of it, as usual. -
When one of our OTR members (that I know is real) gets something from this site and posts a picture, I'll believe it. I can go create a site to snag everyone's emails and contact info (to sell it), then go box up my PS3 and my new camera, make a print out of my new site's logo and an info page, and take a picture of them and post it on other message boards with different names. As long as it gets me money, right? People will do whatever it takes.

Science doesn't explain everything, and it never will. Scientists believe in life on other planets, although they've never seen it. Science has yet to prove (and never will) how, suddenly, there was a universe. Asking, "How did God just create himself," it's like asking how the universe just appeared. Science tells us that something is created from something else, but how do you create something from absolutely nothing? Science has no answer. So, when you have no answer, it must not be true? In that case, the universe doesn't exist. I can play by the same rules an atheist plays by, and it should make perfect sense to them. It's funny to me that all of the mocking comes from those who don't believe. Many don't respect anything outside of their belief. Ironically, all of the questions come from them as well. If a Christian asks an atheist what happens to us when we die, an atheist will say that we just rot in the ground. If a Christian asks how the universe was created, an atheist will say that it just happened. Believe in ghosts? Nope, don't exist. Believe in miracles? Nope, don't exist. Believe in souls? Nope. What is your purpose in life? To just live. Life is so complex for such simple answers. As I've said before, if God does prove to exist someday, guess who's screwed? If he doesn't, I guess we're all just screwed. At least I have a chance.

It's a no-brainer for me. Durant is the future superstar.

Who's it going to be and why?
-
1) Chicago Bulls - Derrick Rose 2) Miami Heat - OJ Mayo 3) Minnesota Timberwolves - Brook Lopez 4) Oklahoma City Thunder - Russell Westbrook 5) Memphis Grizzlies - Michael Beasley 6) New York Knicks - Anthony Randolph 7) Los Angeles Clippers - Eric Gordon 8) Milwaukee Bucks - Kevin Love 9) Charlotte Bobcats - Courtney Lee 10) New Jersey Nets - Jason Thompson What would you have done differently?

Lee's defense needs a ton of work, and Jeffries is too thin to play the five. I would rather see Darko in there, but it's still a toss-up to me, because like we saw in Phoenix with Amare, I'm not sure if D'Antoni cares that Lee is playing center. Mike would sacrifice a basket just to have his players streaking up the court and scoring within seven seconds, which is why he'll never win a ring as a head coach. I do agree that Curry needs to come off the bench, though...but I would like to see Darko start. He's not the offensive player Lee is, but he's a better defender, and dropping Lee to the four gives you a stronger and more legit power forward than Al Harrington. In fact, just compare the situation to that in Los Angeles. Gasol would be the ideal choice at the five, but Bynum is a legit center, and even though Odom is a better overall player than Andrew, he'll be coming off the bench because of Bynum's defense and his physical presence, while Gasol plays his natural position.

We usually always hit a rough patch before November, but activity picks up pretty quick once the regular season starts, so stick around and bring some friends over. Welcome to the best.

Some Sixer Predictions by Diesel
Real Deal replied to Diesel's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Is Speights really able to play the five, though? I guess it's no different than having Emeka play center in New Orleans. Both are undersized at the position, but both have the strength to hold their man. Dalembert just needs tossed aside. His IQ seems to have hit rock bottom, and he doesn't even defend the paint as much as he used to (and even then, I've always seen him as overrated). -
Well, yeah...they are a playoff team, so I wouldn't say "horrible" when describing them but there's definitely something wrong. When you have Paul and West, an MVP candidate and an all-star caliber forward, you should be contending. Emeka should actually put them over the top...but now, Peja has become irrelevant, and Posey looks to be a worthless signing.

Need a link with all articles posted, bro. And...welcome to the site. By the way, Kansas City is the heart of the United States, not exactly the heart of Kansas. The bigger part of KC is in Missouri. Just a fun fact.

Any other two-guards on OTR that have been destroyed by Kobe yet? I was assigned to him for almost the entire game, and all he did was post up on me, pass out of the double, get the ball back and crush me. Even worse, I ended up with a D+ because he was all over me back down the court. I couldn't break free from him for the life of me.

Billups/Carter Starting Backcourt?
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
The problem is that Carter will be playing the two. Lawson is backing Billups.
