What is it? It depends on what it is.

Allen Iverson or Chauncey Billups
Real Deal replied to Multi-Billionaire's topic in Player Comparisons
So because the 2004 Lakers lost the NBA Finals with Kobe and Shaq, yet won them with Kobe and Gasol...can I conclude that the 2009 Gasol was better than the 2004 Shaq? I believe the 2009 Lakers won more games as well. -
Brees can do more with less. I wouldn't be surprised to see him win the MVP this year, either.
-
Tom Brady. My second choice would be a tie between Drew Brees and Adrian Peterson...but running backs don't last very long in the league these days, so probably Brees.

Subway and Burger King, among fast food chains. But there's a taco place called Taco Tico. I'm not sure if it's just in the area or what...but it's the absolute best. Nothing beats it.

Running game, never go to the air unless it's a 10-yard pass to Miller, and go crazy on the blitz. I don't think Cassel is playing.

I'll do it today. If one of the mods can handle this for the duration of the NFL season, I'd really appreciate it. It's a 30 second job.

Obama's healthcare plan: yay or nay?
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Actually, that's true. Just saw something this morning about Obama's missile protection program, or something (I had to run an errand, so I didn't stay to watch a lot of it), and CNN was discussing pros and cons. -
I'm not going to make that a big deal, because I know of many players who have done the same thing (actually shooting from a chair), including a friend of mine who used to play for my JUCO, injured his knee and did the same thing (Fred Marshall, RIP). But the thing is, Yao is still determined to get on the court. There are a lot of big men who probably wouldn't be that adamant to do so, especially after being told that it could be a career-ending injury, and knowing you're missing possibly a full season, at the very least. This brings back shades of Jay Williams working like crazy after his accident, and I remember Nick Collison's workouts after his double-shoulder surgery, and even Terrell Brandon before he had to call it quits. I hope Yao makes it. I don't care the team. He deserves to be on the court.

Lakers Sign Mickael Gelabele
Real Deal replied to Big Penny's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
He's definitely not Smush on defense. He doesn't gamble every single play, and get burned soon after. But I'm not going to start overrating him, either. Gelabale isn't starter-material in this league. His offense is suspect. The thing that intrigues me is his defensive abilities coming off the bench. I actually like that. Outside of Odom having the ability to play defense (not exactly doing it all the time, though) and Shannon Brown, we really don't have a defensive player doing work in the second unit. -
Allen Iverson or Chauncey Billups
Real Deal replied to Multi-Billionaire's topic in Player Comparisons
So "gelling" has nothing to do with the main teammates playing better statistically under Iverson? Just toss that out the window? Point is, statistically, I win the debate. That's a fact. Otherwise, it's all opinion...and in the end, who really wins that? -
I'm sure a lot of people bolted after the board was hacked. I won't lie...it really hurt us in the end. People don't like to lose all of their hard work, and that's why I put the site back up, the most I could do, really.

Lakers Sign Mickael Gelabele
Real Deal replied to Big Penny's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
You remember wrong. He was starting a small part of his rookie season at the three. Watson and Allen were in the lineup with him, and he was coming off the bench to play backup three and two-guard in 2006 and 2007. He has never played the point in Seattle. He also didn't play the point on our D-League team last year, either. -
Let's try and bring in a diverse group of fans. We need Jazz fans, for instance. Kings, Pacers...you get the picture.

T-Mac's back thanks to Chicago gym
Real Deal replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
In that case, thank you. I'm sure everyone here will appreciate that (and they should, if they want to help the site maintain discussion and its own members). -
Alright, we have less than two weeks to wait for the start of the NBA pre-season (Oct. 1). It's time we kick it into third gear. Post, recruit (do NOT spam), promote, and please do your best to respect every member on the board. We want to keep everyone here, doesn't matter the fanbase. This is our second chance. We had the first ripped from our grasp. It's time we make the best of our second one. OTR shirts will be available soon, along with other items in our store (mouse pads, clocks, bags, etc.), and we hope to have our database of players up and running very soon, so we can provide all of you with rosters, schedules and other features not offered by your typical basketball message board. Less than two weeks...that's it. It's time we start preparing for the end of a long, long off-season, and the start of what promises to be an excellent 2009-10 NBA season.

I'm getting confused. How does this tie into Brooklyn and New Jersey? Are the Nets definitely headed to Brooklyn, 100% sure?
-
Yeah, Toronto won't have much of a chance developing him if he was coming off the bench. It would be like throwing him into a river without a life jacket. Toronto isn't going to be a contender, so he would definitely have trouble learning the game alongside other reserves. I figured this was going to happen, though. DeRozan has the potential to be a pretty good player, and he also has that potential to be a wasted pick. It really depends on how much he learns his first two seasons with the Raptors, and how willing he is to learn those things. You can say, "Yeah, that's what we claim for all picks." But the truth is, that's not exactly true, as some just aren't fit from the start, some are meant to lead from the first day on, and others (like DeRozan) need to be groomed into a professional by their coaches and other teammates.

He's a small forward, secondary two-guard. -

So this basically tells me why you were here, if you're willing to leave based on not being able to bait those who believe in McGrady. Very similar to the Yao situation. -

You're running off the rest of the Houston Rockets fans we have. End the obsession. We know you don't like McGrady. We don't need to see it in every single topic on the site. -
Long list of things to do, so... http://www.bootdisk.com/pendrive.htm That's the main thing. As long as you've got all the Windows 7 files on the USB drive, you'll be fine. Just make sure your PC can boot from the USB, and follow the directions in that site.

That actually makes sense, but he should probably do it for the sake of not being traded for a pick this February. -

That's actually why he's going to stop doing it excessively. -
Refresh. I had to make a file edit.
