Well I'm pretty sure anyone would be worried if they lost their first two home games of the series. If it was Utah, Houston, or even the 2009 Pistons we were playing, I'm sure it's something to worry about...but I never thought we would lose the first two anyways, because Denver lost the first game, so...
-
You sound just like the Magic. Could've won, we were this close, it was right there within our reach. You guys lost 4-2 after Houston rattled our cage. I was never worried about Denver, not once. I was setting myself up for a Lakers/Cavaliers Finals matchup, actually. And I never said all of your bigs were contributing offensively. It was your bigs playing big on defense. But hey, you can't disprove that because defensive stats are misleading, just like your offensive ones, right? Oh!

Allen Iverson or Chauncey Billups
Real Deal replied to Multi-Billionaire's topic in Player Comparisons
Ah, yeah, because it's always Iverson's fault, and you know more than anyone. -
Don't worry, I read every single topic on this site. I own it and run it. I'm pretty sure I let you know I was being sarcastic and poking fun at the analysts from yesterday morning's discussion (on NFL Network), but I guess I didn't make that clear enough.

And you guys barely put up a fight against us this season, if it wasn't for your two bigs. Billups didn't even exist in the WCF. I never said everything is won on offense...but you have to score to win. Ask Phoenix and Sacramento. Defense starts to matter when you meet up with the other Finals team. Offensive juggernauts can get to the WCF without playing much team defense, as we've seen for years now.

Allen Iverson or Chauncey Billups

He's talking about Detroit. -
Right, because you're probably the most knowledgeable football fan on this board... Hope that was a little better. Apparently, you don't watch any pre-game analysis. Tune in sometime. You probably would've heard a few goons talking about how Urlacher has been struggling to stay healthy for the last two or three years, because of his back problems. Great use of sarcasm, if you actually pay attention to pre-game analysis.

You guys should've seen him in the preseason. Plus, he's still probably nursing that injured calf.

You see, when I take that jab at Kanye fans, it's a problem for you. It was intentional, just to show you how small jabs like that have an effect on many people. I actually liked Kanye West. I think a lot of his music was good for a while, maybe even great. I don't like a lot of his new stuff, but that didn't bother me. This bothers me, because it reminds me of what Wu-Tang Clan did in 1998 (Youtube it if you guys don't know). Kanye deserves every bit of bashing he gets, doesn't matter if he apologized. This makes him look more racist than ever, and that's not necessarily a good thing for him at this point of his career.

You can stop telling people to grow up, since you're the only person around here that seems to support such an immature and childish act in itself. We're all grown. What he did was disrespectful and WEAK, and it was only to satisfy his young followers who idolize such an overrated, outdated loser. There's a reason why he was getting booed by adults. There's a reason why celebrities in attendance are talking him down. Telling 20-26 year olds to grow up? Seriously? Just because we don't give a [expletive] about your idol? Right.

That's what I said. Otherwise, you end up being her best friend, and if you don't want to be her best friend, that actually makes you her [expletive]. -
It's one thing to bash someone in a rap. That's entire different from getting up during their acceptance speech at the VMA's (and their first-ever, at that) and dogging them. He wouldn't have done it if it was a dude, either. Kanye would've gotten his jaw cracked again.

...nope, took the screenshot myself.

I'm scared. LT and Sproles will rush for about 20,000 yards this game. I'm interested to see how fast DHB can get up the field, though. That'll be cool.

The Panthers and Saints are two different animals. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Saints completely run over the Eagles...but with Philly's defense, I also wouldn't be shocked to see a close one, although Brees is actually an excellent QB. And no, don't grab Garcia. Even though he was probably going to be better than JaMarcus Russell this season, he's still done as a winning starting QB.
-
Might as well retire. I can't remember the last time he was healthy.

Did you guys happen to see how skinny Kanye was? Is he hitting the crack pipe, maybe? :o http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs225.snc1/7222_137151756652_502396652_3042739_360360_n.jpg

Iverson isn't a better player than Mo Williams, but the Cavaliers need shooters at the guard position, not a slashing guard. LeBron handles the ball most of the time in that offense. He's practically a point-forward. So for what reason would the Cavaliers want to add a slashing point guard to their lineup? It has nothing to do with killing all team play. I think it's funny that Denver still won 50 games with this "cancer" you guys love to swing at. Did Denver's offense tumble because of Iverson? You have nothing at all to prove it did, while I have everything to prove you wrong. Yet again, it's Pete Repeat with this discussion. Iverson kills team play, Iverson doesn't lead, nobody wants Iverson, Iverson killed my parents, Iverson blah blah blah. You guys need to get over it.
-
Yeah, I really tried giving him a chance...but it sure does seem that way.

What is the $2.5 million about? Vet's minimum is $1.3 million.
-
Pointless signing, with Nate, Duhon, Hughes and Douglas in there. Joe Crawford would get more playing time, even. Yue sucks.

I'm asking if Rivers saved his legs during the regular season, why did he play almost 37 minutes per game? It's not like he wasn't working hard in those 79 games he played. He had six 30-point games, 21 games where he played 40+ minutes, and 16 games where he shot 17+ times (which is quite a bit on a team with other consistent offensive weapons). Rivers didn't hold back with Ray Allen. And it doesn't make sense to do it now, either. You're just trying to make sense of something to support your argument, but it's not going to work out for you. Swapping Iverson from the point to the two-guard position multiple times a game is a terrible, terrible coaching strategy. You don't do that in any offense. Not to mention one HUGE problem: you have no shooter in the backcourt once you stick Iverson and Rondo in the same lineup, and that's what wins Boston their games, because it's always Ray Allen or Eddie House for a reason: it opens up things for Pierce and Garnett, which in turn gives Rajon Rondo room to drive to the rim. Two slashers? No. Boston can't afford it, no matter how good Iverson is, because: a) they can't give him the amount of time he should have on the court, which is 30+ minutes b) they can't spend a long period of time with a backcourt lacking a long-range shooter c) they don't have $3.5 million to give to Iverson d) they can't bench Ray Allen e) they can't bench Rajon Rondo f) they are contenders not exactly looking for another piece to get back to the Finals No reason to sign him. They'd have no reason to sign anyone outside of guys like Kobe, Wade and LeBron, at this point.
-
So that's why Ray Allen played 36.4 minutes per game in the regular season?
-
Anyone hear about Katy Perry drilling him after the show? And Pink? Haha, Kanye's getting crushed.

Haha, not yet, but I'll give you credit for the idea if I do.
