  1. Many have compared Danny Granger to Scottie Pippen, and rightfully so. However, he doesn't have a Michael Jordan on his team, dominating the ball. Would you say that Danny Granger could be a better second option, or should he be a first option, on a playoff-bound team?
  2. Not trying to hate on Jerry Sloan, but is it possible that he has been the problem with the Utah Jazz? I know I can't put the blame on him in the 90's (I blame Michael Jordan for Utah's troubles), but it seems as if Utah has had a pretty solid group of guys (Deron, Boozer, AK, Okur), yet they can't catch a break. Is Jerry to blame?
  3. His dad played in the NFL. Washington isn't that great of a player. He belongs in the dunk contest, though. The guy has no offensive skillset, and he needs to hit the gym hard. He might be as bad at shooting free throws as Ben Wallace was, by the way (not really, but close).
  4. Buuuuut you still have the UFC, year-round. :o
  5. Wait, what? There are 118 NBA players in the history of the game that have shot better from downtown in a season than Gordon's career-high (which is 43.5%). Gordon is tenth all-time in career three-point percentage, but that doesn't say much because he doesn't attempt as many threes as, say, Reggie Miller. Miller is 41st on that list. He's a much better three-point shooter than Ben Gordon. In fact, the most three-pointers Gordon has ever attempted in a season is 422. There are 124 other players who have topped that, including Ray Allen, who attempted 653 in 2005-06. Ray Allen is 34th on that list of career three-point percentage...yet, he's twice the shooter Gordon is.
  6. Why would Portland and Utah be interested in David Lee? I suppose I can see it working out for Utah if they want to send Boozer to the Knicks, but it doesn't make sense for the Blazers, who are going to need all the money in the world to re-sign all of their stars very soon, and both Aldridge and Oden will be getting the bulk of the minutes in the frontcourt anyways.
  7. Haha, I may. I know a LOT about football, more than a lot of people think. I just don't spend too much time discussing it, mainly because my Raiders suck.
  8. Denver will stick to their guns, holding Marshall until his attitude is adjusted. They already ran into and broke their faces on a brick wall with Cutler. They won't go that same process with Marshall. I don't remember exactly who, but I believe it was Shannon Sharpe (aka Mr. Ed Mouth) that had a slight attitude problem when he was younger. I read it somewhere in a blog about two years ago, when the TO fiasco was hitting the news harder than Favre. Denver knows that Brandon is talented. They should've worked much harder to keep Cutler, and I believe they know this now. I expect them to do things differently here.
  9. I'll be the first to say YES! Less injuries in the league...always a plus.
  10. If there are no games and no trades/signings being made, I hate it. My "care meter" for the NFL is about a 2/10 compared to the NBA's 10/10.
  11. Wow, I just pulled off a wicked screen and roll with Curry and DeRozan on 2k9 (custom rookie team). Pump fake, fake left on the screen, fake drive and a no-look behind-the-back pass to DeRozan for a windmill dunk. Just sick...best play I've ever made. :o
  12. FYI - Shaq is starting, 100% sure. And very true on the Nets' Lee. I searched for a few days. There are no pictures of him even holding a damn Nets jersey, so I finally gave up.
  13. I'm very disappointed that you turned down my offer of starting your own GFX crew on OTR a long time ago. Those are nice. Very nice. And I thought doing 100 team-based banners were difficult. :o
  14. And both Croyle and Thigpen were injured last season, which left Kansas City with nothing. If Matt goes down, and they trade Thigpen, all they have is Croyle...and seeing how the Chiefs really don't protect their QB, I'm not sure if bringing in Boldin is a good idea if you risk not having a QB to throw to him.
  15. Chiefs don't get rid of Thigpen if they just witnessed Matt go down after a few plays. That was too much of a scare.
  16. I've jumped ECN's ass about it before. Smitty has gone in and went off on non-Eagles fans for baiting, and I let him because he was right in doing so. But I can give you at least three of you guys (don't need to name anyone) that feed on baiting. I just saw another basketball-related post earlier that was baiting...and it was from a Philly fan. Phightins was warned the other day for it, and he's been warned two times since the board was re-created (not counting what happened today). Some of you have this smart ass attitude, as if you know what's best for the forums, and that you have this answer that I'm being biased. That's not going to fly. If you truly want me to be biased, all of you will be banned, and you'll feel what it's really like to be "hated on" by me. The "I'm not intimidated by you" attitude, and the "he started it" immature act...it's not what this site welcomes. I want intelligent posters, mature discussion, not mud-slinging, severe baiting and personal attacks over a sports team or player. If you guys don't like that, you're welcome to go elsewhere. OTR is one of two or three basketball-only message boards out there that are worth visiting...so good luck fitting in on other sites and enjoying their A+ discussions. This goes for Eagles fans, non-Eagles fans, you, him, her, staff and whoever else that reads it. It's getting old pretty quickly, very similar to when both Aaron and I lost the desire to even do anything for this site anymore. Since you guys are capable of running the show, maybe you should invest in an IPB and a host, and do it yourself, see how long it takes before you end up like RBS and the countless other basketball sites that hit rock bottom with their "free to say and act how you want" mentality.
  17. I think the point is that if you're a non-Eagles fan, and you don't agree that they are going to win the SuperBowl every season (like you guys think), then you're setting yourself up for personal attacks if you try and debate the topics that refer to the Eagles. Again, I've been watching it go down since we created the football forums for OTR two years ago (used to be one forum for all other sports). I don't care if it's getting too passionate about your team or whatever the excuse, it needs to drop a level or two. You guys were throwing fits about how 3-4 Lakers fans were personally attacking everyone, at every turn, and that stopped. It's definitely no coincidence that this happens "just because it's the Eagles" because, the truth is, the normal football fan really has no reason to hate the Eagles, since that type of hate relates to winning or rivalries only.
  18. They always are, in regards to how much I'll have to change, CSS-wise.
  19. I was hoping to get duos that actually won championships together. If that wasn't the case, I'd have plenty. Malone/Stockton Barkley/Johnson (they had more success together) Barkley/Erving (just because both are top three at their positions) Might do a few more. I just wish picture quality two decades ago was as good as it is now.
  20. I suppose I could add Bird and McHale, although Kevin isn't a top three at his position like the other six guys are.
  21. Team forums are gonna be a mess.
  22. I know some of you remember that the user bar used to be there a long, long time ago.
