If any of you have any awesome cuts of players, please post them in here. Also, any sites that have cuts...that would be great. I have .o2designz and BackstageGFX, and SuitePSDs.
-
Well, I just found out I lost all of my player cuts, so back the timer up a bit. Sucks, because I cut a lot of what I put on the team banners.
-
They are for each team. I'm not going to release them until I get one player (the main star) for each team completed, and also the main banners.
-
Haha, I usually don't like anything I do. Jessica said these are the best she's seen, and she's been around me for almost three years...so that actually makes me confident in them, lol.
-
I do, also. Hopefully, a Knicks fan comes in here and lets me know that Gallinari will not be the franchise player for New York, or else I must be ignorant to the game of basketball.

Sessions ditching Knicks for Clips?
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in General NBA Discussion
Well, the problem with that is that Baron Davis is still around, and will be for a while. Sessions won't come to Los Angeles to back him up, not when he can get a starting job with a few other teams in the league (and probably more money, too). And I like Baron...but someone would have to play the sixth man role, and there's no way Davis does that (he's better than Ramon, anyways). And yeah, I'm not big on Ricky Davis, Chris Kaman, Marcus Camby, and I really don't like Al Thornton that much. Some teams would, though...and that's just it. The Clippers can really piece themselves together and get back into the playoff hunt by dishing some of those guys out. As I said in my first post, Camby's contract expires after this season. If the Clippers aren't hunting for 2010 free agents, they should dangle him out there, because it's $7-8 million to gain more room for guys like LeBron, Wade and Bosh. -
Sessions ditching Knicks for Clips?
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in General NBA Discussion
I think they'd have to let Camby go. That would put them under $40 million. Thing is, LeBron's PO for next year is over $17 million. He'd have to take exactly that from Los Angeles, give or take a million (can't remember if the cap was set at $56 million, or $58 million). -
Sessions ditching Knicks for Clips?
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in General NBA Discussion
Hey! Welcome back. Yeah, they are stacked, but they have a couple of guys who need to GTFO, too. Griffin, Gordon, Sessions...it would be nice to have those guys there, do away with some of the others. -
They are coming up. And I don't think I've ever done a better job on them. Promise.

I never said that Gallinari plays a similar game to Frye, I said that teams make mistakes drafting, so there was no point in saying that the Knicks must have saw something good in him. What makes you think all I look at is stats? I've seen Gallinari play. There's nothing that resembles Dirk, not even a young Nowitzki. The ability to score points is cheap? Gallinari is a scoring forward, a shooter at that. He was with Italy, and he proved that he has a scorer's mindset when he set out to destroy the Hawks (career high of 17). Plus, you compared him to Nowitzki earlier. What do you think Dirk is? Your last paragraph makes Gallinari out to be as good as Kobe and LeBron, so I'm not even going to touch that. Shooters don't command doubles unless they are Kobe or Jordan. Danilo will be a shooter, and if he becomes anything valuable in the league (as a starter), he will be on par with the likes of Detlef Schrempf, not Dirk Nowitzki. And watching Detlef play in the 90's, I doubt Gallinari will get there.

Iverson says Griz made offer Tuesday
Real Deal replied to La Bomba's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
I don't know, Adrian. I would jump on this deal. Iverson is still a 25 PPG scorer. Detroit was going to be a train wreck with or without Allen Iverson, especially after losing Billups and bringing in an inexperienced coach. -
Nothing yet, but I'll keep an eye out.
-
Haha, well okay. You're obviously the only person on this site to think Gallinari will be a franchise player. Just so you know, I could compare rookies with Nowitzki also. I could take their stats and show you that they were putting up Dirk-like numbers as a rookie, and then I can turn around and show you why they aren't even in the NBA anymore. But I'm done wasting my time on this. You can look those numbers up. Go find some rookies that put up numbers similar to Dirk's, then see how they are doing today. And even then, Gallinari doesn't even play like Dirk. Not at all. The only similarities between the two would be their international blood, their ability to hit a jumper despite their height, and...well, that's it. Telling me that the Knicks picked him so early because he's good...might as well tell me they picked Channing Frye in 2005 at eight or nine because he was that great.
-
Why are you still comparing Gallinari to Dirk? Nowitzki completely dominated guys like Barkley, Pippen and Shard before he was drafted, at the Nike Hoop Heroes Tour and the Hoops Summit. People knew Dirk was going to be awesome. It just so happens that the Bucks thought Tractor Traylor was going to be great, also, and they screwed up. Gallinari will probably be injured most of his career. Wasn't it him who missed the Euro championships for Italy a few years ago? He missed the entire first half of the season, pretty much, his rookie year due to his back problems...as you noted. But you failed to mention the fact that the Knicks only gave him two years because he wasn't very good in practice, blew his first two games against the Heat and Sixers, scored in double-digits just six times in the 2-3 months he played (from January until March) before missing the second half of March and all of April, and...well, I can go on and on, but there is absolutely nothing that tells me he'll be a franchise player in the future. His play in Italy reminds me of how hyped Sarunas Jasikevicius was before coming to the NBA and being a complete train wreck on the court. Same with Walter Herrmann, Shammond Williams, and all of these other guys who have had success overseas, then come to the league and get punished, or simply sent back.

Saves it as a word file, or an HTML file. The feature is there just in case one of us need a topic for future reference. Could be for anything. It's nice to have at the touch of a mouse click...but I don't see why I'd ever use it. As far as it slowing the board down, it doesn't. Nothing loads from the option being available. You're still loading the posts as if you're downloading them, just in your browser.

There's a difference between a go-to guy, and a franchise player. Robert Horry was essentially a go-to guy at the end of games after a while, but we know he was never a franchise player. Danilo Gallinari will never be a franchise player, for any NBA team.

Whats up with all the Machine Hate?
Real Deal replied to Mike Hawk's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Err...they both suck. At least Olowokandi was a big man with six fouls. You can get more production out of him than you can a chucking, foul-prone combo guard. Sasha has to get his act together. He knows it, his fans know it, and the Lakers know it. The entire 2008-09 season was a major disappointment for him, and it was like having Coby Karl back in our lineup. I do wish he'd fall back into place as that shooter coming off our bench, but I really want Morrison to take it now. -
Who has been the biggest loser this decade?
Real Deal replied to Revis Island's topic in General NBA Discussion
An overrated loser at that. I don't see where he actually ever played good defense. He reminded me of Smush Parker and all the steals he racked up, even though he couldn't stay in front of his man and gambled 20 times more than he should've. -
I saw enough of Danilo Gallinari on League Pass, and it was enough to know he's not a franchise player in the making. This upcoming season, I'll see? Put that in your sig, like you did the Lakers/Nuggets predictions. There's absolutely no chance Danilo Gallinari becomes a Dirk Nowitzki, and his ceiling is Hedo Turkoglu, minus the playmaking (and he won't even get that far).
-
Fix it, guys. Both of your favorite teams suck, anyways. As for the psychological issues, yeah...that's pretty scary. I wonder if Twitter didn't have a lot to do with that...people just BLASTING him on there. He deleted his Twitter account immediately.

Beasley's Dad says he doesn't use marijuana
Real Deal replied to Diesel's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Lies. People used to say that Beasley would buy from friends in Topeka, KS, from Manhattan...and sometimes was caught in Kansas City with it, back in college. Either way, doesn't really matter to me. I just hope he stays focused and gets it done. -
It won't be too long. I'll start on them tomorrow, actually. I'll be out of town this weekend (mother's birthday), but on Monday, I'll be back and working on the site again.

Ah, you mean selectable team skins? Probably when I re-code them all. The problem with having them selectable right now is that, if they mess up again, it locks everyone out of the board that has a team skin as their default...until I fix it. Just like you saw when the West team forums were shut down temporarily...it was because of those skins. And I would rather have 15 forums locking people out for 20 minutes without me knowing...than to have 50-100 members locked out of the entire site for that duration. There's a significant error somewhere. I can't find it. The guys at IPS can't, either. That means I need to re-code them all, which is a LONG and LENGTHY process, but at least the banner images are already created.
