I thought the PS3 Slim systems had a 120GB HDD?
-
If you can wait to get that PS3 Slim, that would be awesome. It's $300. How much would you be paying for the 40GB PS3? It's got Wi-Fi (again, that's the one I have), and I get a good connection when browsing the PS Store and getting online, but like I said, I don't play games online.

Well, I'm reading that McGrady won't be back for the first half of the season (missing 40-50 games), but who knows. If that's the case, I don't see how the Rockets will score any points if they don't pick up someone like Iverson.

Work in progress.

I used to be a slashing two-guard, but since my eye problems, I've had to develop a shot and stay away from contact a bit, so I'm more of a shooting point-forward. On offense, I love using shot fakes and footwork. I will post up and get my shot off from there, or hang around outside and quietly lose my man to free up for a shot. I am an excellent ball-handler. Really, really, really good. I don't act like I'm Hot Sauce if I'm really playing basketball, but it's rare for me to lose the ball off a steal, even in traffic, and I can put the ball anywhere. On defense, I suck in the post. If someone heavier than me posts me up five feet from the rim, I'm done. I'll usually run out and pick up whoever wants to drive or shoot the ball. My perimeter defense is 10 times my post defense, and I can stay in front of most, or lead them into zones they don't want to be in. I think the one thing that I now have to fix is my court vision, mainly on defense. Someone can come to my left and set a screen, and I will drive into it, full speed, if nobody calls it for me. It's because my left eye is still 90% blind, and there's just nothing that can prevent me from doing that other than a teammate calling it out for me, or just extremely bad body odor.

Right, but we're comparing two guards, not Iverson and Saer Sene. As much as I used to hate Iverson, he wasn't an extremely selfish player. When it was time to put the team on his back, yes, but that was the obvious thing to do as a superstar, and he stopped doing that after teaming up with Melo in Denver. His selfish play has never been any different from what we have seen out of Bryant, LeBron, and McGrady in recent years. People just didn't care much for Iverson's antics off the court, along with his unwillingness to cooperate with the franchise (ex. not practicing), and the label "selfish" slapped him in the face.

I would never get a 360. All of my friends switched over (four of them) after every one of them ended up with at least one dead system. One came in DOA from Wal-Mart when they launched the 360 Elite systems. I find that I use my PS3 quite a bit for the blu-ray movies. Love it. I'm not much of a gamer, though...don't play online, but I just play basketball games until I get bored, haha. Altogether, I've had one PS3 overheat, and it was at launch, a 20GB. I think I played Madden and GTA4 every day for two weeks, and I literally burned the damn thing up. I sent it in to be fixed, got it back, sold it and bought me a 40GB (a new one back then), and I've had it with no problems ever since.

Not necessarily, because they have the ability to see and pass over taller players. Magic Johnson is an excellent example of it. Kobe Bryant and Scottie Pippen run the triangle because of it. Jason Kidd is 6-4, which is OJ Mayo's height. LeBron is 6-8 and an excellent passer. Jordan is 6-6. Height can make a difference in a positive manner.

That Lakers fan will tell you about Magic Johnson...

See poll, and explain your answer.

Better Mid-Range Game: Dirk or Kobe?

Boo hoo. -
Go send in your XBOX, get it fixed, then sell it to a friend that has stabbed you in the back recently. Then, buy a PS3 and take a deep breath of fresh air.

I already spent $500 on the fat PS3 a long time ago. Thing is, it's the 40GB. I may sell that bad boy with a bunch of games, get a PS3 Slim, buy 2k10 and pocket the rest of the cash.

They say the Clippers, Grizzlies and Bobcats...but uh, Houston? Memphis did toss Jason Williams aside. Apparently, they are looking for a point...but I don't see Iverson going there because Mayo needs the ball in his hands. The Clippers already have Baron Davis and Eric Gordon. Iverson won't come off the bench, and neither will Baron, and Eric needs to start. If Charlotte doesn't bring back Felton, they can start Iverson in the backcourt with either Bell or Augustin, since AI is a combo guard...but I don't see why Houston doesn't pursue him even harder now, unless they are secretly after Sessions.

Funny act, although I'm sure the WCW could've pulled one with the Undertaker, which was even more ridiculous in his brawls with Papa Shango, the Ultimate Warrior and Mankind/Dude Love/Cactus Jack/Mick Foley. And, ironically, Vince brought Goldberg to the WWF to fight The Rock at Wrestlemania (I believe). Wrestling is entertaining, but over the years, it sure turned into a circus.

Eh, not really. Our cheerleaders back in high school weren't really unintelligent. Most actually had brains. A few of my best girlfriends were cheerleaders, including my current one (Jessica). Now, I don't know about the college cheerleaders, though. The biggest problem with them were that they had already slept with every guy and girl in the school.

Better Mid-Range Game: Dirk or Kobe?
Real Deal replied to Revis Island's topic in Player Comparisons
So all of us "Kobe lovers" include a... Mavs fan Jazz fan Suns fan Heat fan Bobcats fan Knicks fan Rockets fan And that's why Kobe wins every poll, huh, because of how likable he is? He wins polls because he's the best player in the NBA, and he's in so many polls because people WANT to find one he won't win. It's pretty obvious in this topic, right? -
Well, Houston wants Iverson, maybe Sessions. Hayes is their best post defender at the four. Scola isn't going anywhere. So I'm inclined to believe that Landry is on the block, maybe even Battier. Whatever it takes to bring in a scoring guard, Houston will probably look to get it done.

7 for 14 year old basketball prospect
Real Deal replied to Years's topic in International Basketball
Yeah, Saer Sene is a good example. Robert Swift is another. So is Johan Petro. Ironically, they were all drafted by Seattle, but anyways... Kid needs weight, or else he's going to get thrown around in the pros. He may look good against other HS-level talent, but so did Dajuan Wagner. -
Better Mid-Range Game: Dirk or Kobe?
Real Deal replied to Revis Island's topic in Player Comparisons
Yeah, it's not going to be just Lakers fans voting for Bryant. I'm sure every NBA coach would say the same, and everyone defending Bryant, including Battier, Artest, and guys that have gotten so frustrated, they just foul the hell out of him (Dahntay Jones). -
Better Mid-Range Game: Dirk or Kobe?

Ask Shane Battier this question. You have to double Bryant once he gets within 18 feet from the rim. Stick a hand in Dirk's face, and you're going to disrupt his jumper. Not to mention Kobe will pump-fake you out of your shoes. If Bryant gets you within 15-18 feet without a double, and he turns his back to you, you're done. His footwork is too much. Basically, Dirk shoots over you. Bryant shoots through you, over you, and under you. -

Megan Wants a Millionaire Murderer?
Real Deal replied to Dr. Feelgood's topic in Movies and Television Forum
So now there's a warrant out for his arrest, and he's being charged for her murder. They found his car with a boat trailer attached, no boat...and they suspect he took it up north (as Owen pointed out). Apparently, the dude broke all of her teeth and cut her fingers off before putting her in the suitcase. :o -
There's going to be a trade going down, Houston fans.
