  1. Wilkins also didn't have Garnett, Ray Allen, Rondo and Perkins on his team. He was better than Pierce. What do you mean "I don't need to say much" regarding Dantley? Do you know what he accomplished? He was a multiple-time all-star (couldn't tell you how many times), won ROY, had maybe the highest career field goal percentage of any non-center (of all-time), is top ten on the all-time scoring list the last time I looked, had 3-4 consecutive 30+ PPG seasons, and he was a very good player. English was also putting up excellent field goal percentages (over 50% for his career, I believe), and he's a 25k scorer over the decade and a half he played. If Pierce hadn't won a championship with Garnett and Allen, this wouldn't even be a discussion. Pierce has never played good defense (I even followed the guy when he was a Jayhawk, and he wasn't that great of a defender in college), and he only started playing it this last season, just as Ray Allen magically did, because guards and forwards were reluctant to drive with Garnett and Perkins in the paint. It's what you see with Turkoglu and Shard, who both have a ton of trouble defensively, but have it easy with Howard in the way. Just 2-3 years ago, people were asking if McGrady was on the top ten list, and how much better he was than Pierce. It's funny how the tides turn so quickly once a guy wins a title with two other future HOF'ers.
  2. Can't wait to see this one tip off. Cleveland almost went undefeated at home last year. Will their first home game be a loss? :o
  3. Care tactic, huh? OKC Thunder are done. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?/forum/32-oklahoma-city-thunder-team-forum Durant, Westbrook, Green. Thought about the rook, but Green is more proven.
  4. Wizards are finished. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?/forum/41-washington-wizards-team-forum Butler, Arenas, Jamison.
  5. Ah, what's up? Welcome to the site. You should make an intro thread, and tell everyone who you are. :)

  6. Nope. I can't go beyond creatine and protein shakes.
  7. The country has been screwed for a long time BECAUSE of politics. People can't think on their own anymore. They have to point fingers and find a way to do things differently, without merging ideas and coming up with a solution FOR the American people. It's obvious that nobody on this message board, including myself, has any idea how to fix our current problems. Spend? Don't spend? We've done both already. We've done everything there is to do. So the focus should shift to creating jobs and promoting sales through housing, the auto industry, and anything else that can pull us out of our hole. Maybe the left wing and right wing should reconnect, instead of breaking from each other and taking a nosedive, like we've been doing for the last decade.
  8. No, because if anyone beats us, they won't be beating the team you have in your sig. No Ariza or Yue. And if we win, it won't be with them.
  9. Go download this video somewhere, then open it in QuickTime, play the full video and pause it near the end. Hold down SHIFT and double-click the video, and keep holding shift to play it backwards. I don't hear it. Load of bull.
  10. The orange isn't good. I went with it for the borders and everything, and it's just too bright.
  11. New York Knicks. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?/forum/31-new-york-knicks-team-forum Robinson, Hill, Harrington.
  12. Might do that...but again, that's after the team forums are completed. I may tinker with a few of the team forum colors, by the way. I could try the orange for Golden State, but keep the text color for links as a dark blue. I don't know. Also, I'll be doing these at random from now on. I ran into a situation with a couple of teams, so I'll go ahead and go random until I find decent pictures to cut.
  13. Haha yeah, it's completely random. Sometimes, when I check to see if all the banners are showing up, it'll take me a lot of refreshes to see one. I went through four other Lakers probably three times each, just to see if Artest was there.
  14. Raptors (Bosh, Hedo, Calderon) http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?/forum/39-toronto-raptors-team-forum Blazers (Roy, Aldridge, Oden) http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?/forum/36-portland-trail-blazers-team-forum Grizzlies (Mayo, Gay, Conley) http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?/forum/25-memphis-grizzlies-team-forum
  15. He had to have emergency surgery and will be out for up to three weeks. Looks like he may not play for Spain, either...kind of depends on how quickly he heals, but he won't be able to touch a basketball for the next three weeks, and he'll need to start playing for them by the 7th of September, so that doesn't give him a lot of time to do anything.
  16. You could also use the argument that Bynum's stats aren't where they would be if he were more involved in the offense. If Lopez was playing for us, this upcoming season, he'd be the fourth option on a team with Kobe, Gasol and Artest. But, with that said, I don't know who I'd take. Brook looks to be very promising as an up and coming big man. If Bynum were to stay healthy, he'd be better than Lopez in the future. So if this question is asking who is better at full health, it's Bynum. If it's asking who is better at this time, and if things continue on the same road for Andrew (in terms of injuries), it's obviously Brook.
  17. It'll be Conley. Thabeet may not even start. He's already looking like a bust.
  18. I seriously thought about Troy Murphy, but nah.
  19. Pfft, Thornton over Griffin? :o And yeah, Rush did very well near the end of the season. He needs to be a starter. Dunleavy has always been garbage.
  20. The new court is slick. I just don't like the jerseys. You guys are right about the vintage Sixers jerseys, though...those are awesome.
  21. Mannnn... If you guys can get me pictures of Iggy, Young and Brand in the new jerseys, that would be spectacular. I know they haven't taken them yet...but hopefully they will. If they do, please post them in here. I need them for the banner.
  22. I really hope he is healthy. I hate seeing guys' careers ruined by injuries like that. Danny Manning is one that comes to mind, after he won a National Championship for Kansas and went to the Clippers (ironically, it was the same team Livingston was drafted to). As far as his potential, pre-injury, he could've been pretty good. I'm really not sure if there was an all-star guard in there or not, probably so, but I think people bought into the hype just a bit too much. He was like the old school point guard, a poor man's Magic Johnson. Livingston was this pure point that had the ability to play two other positions, and you don't see that often. So, in my opinion...yeah, if his work ethic was there, he could've been an all-star. I'm just not sure about hitting greatness. Big shoes to fill, indeed. As for his return, it would be nice to see it work out for him, especially on a young and talented Thunder squad.
  23. Lakers are finished. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/index.php?/forum/24-los-angeles-lakers-team-forum Kobe, Gasol, Artest, Odom and Bynum.
