Source: Odom, Lakers agree on deal (Pg. 14)
Real Deal replied to The Goods's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Five years? Too many. He deserves $9 million, three years...but that's as far as it goes for me. -
Ah, damn, that problem slipped my mind. We are having server problems on TLN, so that's been a recent issue. I'll check that team rep issue out right now.

If Dallas wants Odom, and if Odom wants $10 million, it's going to have to be a sign and trade. He doesn't have a choice. -
Vince Carter Will Help Improve The Orlando Magic

Feel free to put your Bleacher Report URL on here, also. Linking back and forth works wonders. I'll comment soon. -

They are now saying that Buss pulled the deal off the table. Looks like it's time for a sign and trade. -
Slaven, are those pictures real? That chick looks like her mom was nailed by a hammerhead shark.

"If LeBron is King, Kobe must be God."
Real Deal replied to The Goods's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Actually, he didn't opt out. He could've. That alone is the pay cut. LeBron raped a lady that lived on my block two years ago. I have no proof, and no court will find him guilty, but he did it because I said so. Speaking of rape and salaries, I bet you can't wait to see what LeBron will be asking for next season, when his minuscule $17 million player option is brought to the table. Bryant could've decided to opt out and get his $28 million or so, making up to $33-34 million in his final season of his new contract. Can't wait to see what LeBron is going to do in Cleveland. -
Is Cleveland Really A "Top 5" Team
Real Deal replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in General NBA Discussion
Shaq isn't going to be a post threat without the ball. He's not a spot-up shooter that LeBron can work into the offense by drawing doubles. The more LeBron has to rely on his jumper, the harder it will be for Shaq to score...and, obviously, LeBron will find it tougher. The 2006 Shaq was still drawing doubles. I can't believe you guys believe O'Neal can make LeBron a better player (or vice-versa) after seeing how terrible Nash had it last year, in the run and gun OR in the half-court offense they attempted to play. Nothing worked, even with Amare on the court, along with Richardson and Hill, all guys who can score the ball. -
Sorry, here's the link to Ron getting ripped. http://twitpic.com/a771v

Dallas in Talks With Lakers for Odom
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
They'd have to trade someone for Lamar, though. Odom won't go to Dallas for the MLE, or anywhere else for that kind of money. -
Dallas in Talks With Lakers for Odom
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
It's a stupid trade, unless Wade wants Odom back. Beasley has potential, and Wade has one year. I guess it's a pick and choose situation. -
Probably, unless it keeps Wade in Miami.

Dallas in Talks With Lakers for Odom

That's the problem, but nothing that Josh Howard can control. I'd rather go after Beasley, if those rumors are true. Just put Gasol at center, Beasley at power forward, and stick Bynum's ass on the bench, since that's where he spends all of his time in the first place. -
Dallas in Talks With Lakers for Odom
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
Sheridan just said that Dallas would part with Josh Howard, just to get Odom and beef up their frontcourt. -
By the way, Sheridan is saying that the Heat are willing to offer Beasley. :o

Man, if we trade Odom for Kidd, I'm going to be pissed off. -
Pistons trade Afflalo to Nuggets
Real Deal replied to The Goods's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
I don't think I wanted the Lakers to take him because he couldn't play the point, and we needed a point guard that could back up Fisher. I wanted Stuckey to fall, but Crittenton did instead, and I was actually satisfied with that pick, for some reason. Today, I would've rather had Afflalo than Crittenton...but I believe Sessions was also in that draft, and so was Rudy Fernandez. Either way, Arron came out of UCLA as a Raja Bell comparison. The defense is there, yes, but in the NBA, he's nothing more than a good defensive player on his best day. On the contrary, yes...he's a very hard worker and will do his best to produce for the team, offensively (from the perimeter) or defensively. -

FINALLY fixed it. I just completely put it in a separate group away from the member information, then moved it into the left column on profiles. We should be good to go. Time for sleep...it's 4:30 in the morning. I'll tackle our problem with the team rep image in the posts tomorrow (well, today).

By the way, sorry that I'm coming off as an ass right now. I'm focused on this site. I don't care about a hacker, don't care about anyone who doesn't have the brains and needs to pay a hacker, and I don't care to bother even reading anything that relates to it.

Good. Not that big of a deal though. Don't even know who he is, don't really care to know what he said. Topic closed.

Pistons trade Afflalo to Nuggets
Real Deal replied to The Goods's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
Those numbers don't mean much. Do you really think Afflalo is one of the best defensive players in the NBA? Honestly? The numbers reflect two things: his play against bench players (mostly), and his teammates' help defense while he is in the game. If you were to start Afflalo, and put him on Bryant, Wade, or even Ray Allen, he would get lit up badly. To put things into perspective, take Iverson's opponents' EFG% and compare. Kobe - 50.3% EFG Raja Bell - 53.5% EFG Iverson - 50.8% EFG Or Vujacic, at 45.9%. Or Walton, at 47.3%. Or Steve Nash, at 48.5%. I'm supposed to believe that all of those guys are better than Kobe, defensively, and almost as good as Ron Artest? Shane Batter - 47.1% EFG. Vujacic is a better defensive player than Battier? Afflalo is not a great defender. He was a good defender in college, and that's his ceiling in the pros...but he'll never be an elite defensive player. -
Brock should never stand and fight anyone, just throw them to the ground and beat their faces in with hammer fists, and piss everyone off. People loved The Iceman, but all that idiot did was stand up and throw hooks, jabs and uppercuts until he dislocated your chin. The whole point of MMA fighting is to use your arsenal. Most every fighter is either better on the ground, or better standing up. I don't see the problem. As for Bisping, I loved that KO. I'm glad he went to sleep. Very fitting for someone who thought he was going to absolutely crush his opponent, and let us all know it for months.

Damn. I was hoping he was the only one, and it was a fluke. That's going to be a problem. I'll have to take a look at it tonight.
