^^^ Well, as much as I want Wade to sign, I think Wade is just looking out for himself. He wants to win, and wants to make sure the Heat are on the same track. So he says he'll stay if we contend, if we don't, then I guess he leaves. Though, I don't get it. Why doesn't he just stay so we can get Bosh next year? I'm sure Bosh wants to play in Miami, and I'm sure Wade would love Bosh pairing up with him.

Transformers 2: Rise of the Fallen
platoon793 replied to Sun Tzu's topic in Movies and Television Forum
The difference between The Matrix and Transformers is that the Matrix isn't just about action. It had a good, creative and original story, and also good acting. Not to mention very good direction. And The Matrix did things in its action sequences that many people had not seen done before. The 2nd one was very good as well, and while I liked the third one, it wasn't as good as the others mainly because it kind of dropped off the good story and focused on its action sequences. -
Bingo. I'm glad someone mentioned this.

R.I.P Steve Mcnair (Found Shot Dead)
platoon793 replied to MainEv3nt's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
Wow, that sucks. So many famous people dying lately. -
Iverson doesn't fit well with our team. He's not a PG, and Wade is our SG. No thanks. I think we should have gone after Gortat, and I'm being completely serious here. He gives us some size and he's also a good rebounder and defender. We could have given him the MLE or something.

North Korea raises stakes with new missile launch

It's sad how much attention they want. They should just STFU and learn that their threats are laughable to everybody. -

I'm stuck with my 8600GT (256 MB). I have 4GB Ram and Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz, so those parts are fine. Just my GPU. What's your cpu by the way? -
I would say Dwyane Wade, mainly because he seems to be the better leader. Carmelo IMO settles for too many jumpers sometimes (same could be said for Wade), when he should post up and use his size. Wade sometimes needs to drive more and create for his teammates, instead of shooting threes, something he isn't too good at, but is improving at. Overall though, I'll take Wade, because IMO he seems to be the more capable leader.

Shutter Island, The Road, Public Enemies, Inglorious Basterds, Moon, Zombieland, and a few others. Those are the ones that come to mind. District 9 also looks interesting. -
Top 10 Favorite Movies of 2008
platoon793 replied to OldChili's topic in Movies and Television Forum
Nice, I watched it in the theaters only once, lol. One of the rare times I went to a theater to see a movie. Need to do it a bit more often. Might do it for Public Enemies. Very good film. Classic Eastwood. -
Top 10 Favorite Movies of 2008

Yes, I rented both parts from Blockbuster. Kind of stupid they separated the movie into 2 parts, considering it was shown as a whole during Cannes Film Festival. Though, one part is about Che in Cuba, the other in Bolivia. Both parts were good. The score and the cinematography were beautiful. -

Chili is my twin brother, lol. About the age thing, it just is very awkward seeing movies like that with my parents, and they tend to just fast forward everything. Anyways, saw Che, and it's amazing. Loved it. -
I think it is worth watching. I gave it a 9/10, though I tend to like Edward Zwick movies (Blood Diamond, Glory, The Last Samurai, etc.). It is cheesy at times, but it's a good movie overall. I would definitely recommend it.

When did we get Beverley? The Lakers picked him. We picked Thornton, but ended up trading him for 2 future 2nd round picks (with the Hornets).

Nelson: Curry will stay with Warriors
platoon793 replied to The Goods's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
I'm sure Curry was disappointed when he was picked with the Warriors. And Ellis and Curry seem somewhat similar IMO. Both seem to be shooting guards. -
I don't particularly like a shoutbox, but then again, I never use it.

WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I thought people lived till they are 250 years old. 150 years doesn't sound that bad. -
I'm entering junior year for High School as well. Not sure what college I'll go to.

Top 10 Favorite Movies of 2008
platoon793 replied to OldChili's topic in Movies and Television Forum
Boy A came out in the USA in 2008, so that's why I included it. Also, me and Chili are about to see Che tonight, so I'll see how that will fit in with my list. Waltz with Bashir, The Wrestler, and The Reader, a few movies I want to see, sadly it will be very awkward to see with my parents, and they will probably fast forward all of it, so I'm not sure if I will see those movies at least not for another year, when I turn 17. Let the Right One In was all taken at Blockbuster, so we couldn't get that, but I'm sure we'll get it sometime. And Hiam Abbas was very good in The Visitor. Regarding Revolutionary Road, I think Leo got snubbed at the Oscars, he should have been nominated over Brad Pitt. And I forgot about The Counterfeiters, I'll go add that to my list.
