I don't think it matters when Odom, Gasol, and your bench are playing fantastic.
-
Anyone watch the 2nd episode? Pretty solid.
-
Good win for the Hornets, they played better throughout the game.
-
Haha, Bosh would have been the last person I would have expected for a three.
-
Horrible defense.
-
So much for our great defense. Once again a great point guard (last time it was Rondo) is tearing our defense apart. Also, Hornets' big men are killing us, especially Okafor (8-9 from the field), and West is playing very good in this 2nd half. Hopefully the Heat can make some sort of run and get a lead.

Kobe one rebound away from a triple double a little more than halfway into the 3rd? Pretty damn impressive.
-
Magic coming out of that bad loss to the Heat very well. Carter is playing great, 6-11 and 4-5 from downtown for 18 points, and has 7 assists and 3 rebounds to go with that. Anderson has been making his threes as well, and Orlando's defense holding the Timberwolves to 59 points near the end of the 3rd quarter.

I don't have a definite list, but here is 15 that come to mind: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford Watchmen The 400 Blows Brazil Dog Day Afternoon Network Le Samourai Straw Dogs Kiss of the Spider Woman The Night of the Hunter Heat The Graduate Raging Bull All The President's Men The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

Solid premiere. Very tense in spots.
-
Yeah, I've been watching Mad Men online and it's great show. Wish I could watch it on TV.
-
I'm glad Dish Network has AMC as one of the free preview channels this month. I probably won't be able to catch it at 9 so I'll probably watch the re-run at 10:30.
-
I do agree that it doesn't say much, but it can be accurate from time to time. The point is Carter was being contained very well by the Heat anyway. I'm guessing you saw the game, and if I remember correctly he was forced into jumpshots and only drove a couple of times and missed. And the Magic three pointers were missing open three pointers all night. I doubt his presence would have been a huge factor. Of course, he could have turned it on, but I doubt it would have been enough for the Magic to win.
-
While I do agree Carter would have made some difference, I think you are exaggerating a bit. He was 1-5 for the game, and the Heat defense forced him to take shots and he drove a few times but he wasn't very successful. His +/- was also -26, which was the lowest for the whole Magic team, with Rashard Lewis 2nd at -25. While I do give credit to the Heat defense for playing some great defense, Magic did miss a good amount of open threes, especially Rashard Lewis. Personally I see that as the biggest reason they lost. 4-24 from downtown won't cut it.
-
And when we get another great perimeter shooter in Miller back.
-
He has 17 TOs so far. He had 8 last game and 9 this game.
-
Philadelphia has taken 12 more shots, we have 11 turnovers compared to their 7, they have 8 offensive rebounds and we have 4, and yet we are up by 16. Our defense has held them to a solid 35%, which is probably why we are up by so much. That and Wade is playing great. Hopefully we can finish this game on a strong note and not let them back into this.
-
Heat playing very good defense, causing turnovers, and leading to easy shots. Playing very well.
-
LeBron with 4 turnovers now. I think he is set to break his 8 from last night.
-
The Heat have half the attempts and have three times as many turnovers. And it's the first quarter, lmao.
-
LeBron with 3 turnovers already. Great.
-
Wade has 2 blocks already, lol.
-
Haha Anyway, I wouldn't say this is a must win game, but if the Heat can show some dominance in this game it would do wonders for the confidence of the team. I'm sure they are disappointed after the horrible performance from last night.

Fire Department Lets House Burn Down
platoon793 replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Haha fine, save the house, possibly get fired, move elsewhere, if you have family, then put your own family in a very tough situation, and find another job. Great and easy call indeed. Family or not you would be putting yourself into a tough situation, and the first person I think about is me. Call me selfish, a prick, whatever. Don't care. I'm not going to risk my job over someone who "forgot" to pay the fee. If they made exceptions then no one would pay the fee, which obviously isn't what the city wants. And Lkr once again, there is still that possibility they could be fired or fined or something. And I'm sure you would love to take that risk, and if fired, move to another city and look for a job. What if they don't hire you? What would you do then? Real Deal, I'm sure most people can't relate as well as you could to those people. If you would save the house, then great for you. Most people would not however save that house, and it's hard to say you 100% would unless you were in that situation. It's always easy to say you will do something until you are actually put into that situation. I still don't see why most people here are attacking the firefighters and not the actual law. These people have a job where their life is on the line a good amount of the time, and I find it pathetic you guys are sitting on your computers badmouthing them. I'm not saying they are gods and amazing people or anything, but calling them pathetic is well, pathetic.
