Stefanski: Brand-To-Miami Rumors Untrue
Klashnekoff replied to The Goods's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Mason is indeed correct. Philly lose out on Brand who just recently was acquired and didn't get a chance to really show what he can do. Brand's 2nd season will prove some people wrong, Philly need to hold onto him because he is valuable. -
The Lakers won't make the finals if they don't get Kidd this off-season. Simple. The moves being made by the powerhouse teams are just too great for the Lakers to combat, for one Pau cannot guard Duncan, we know this. Not to mention they added Blair who will put in work on those boards, the rebounds in that series next year will be the outcome because you know San Antonio will be there defensively and now offensively they are able to match the Lakers with 4 high scoring options when the Lakers in retrospective have really only two high scoring options that they can rely on, Bynum is inconsistent, Odom is inconsistent, Fisher is not a big time threat and unless they can get a player like Miller or Kidd who will jump start the offense and get more shots for players they will not repeat. lol Cleveland won't make the finals. Boston have a chance with or without signing Sheed, the ECF will be a exciting one for the ages as i see Orlando v Boston battling it out to 7. Cleveland just isn't a contender in the East with Boston and Orlando being obviously terrors in terms of offense and defense, adding a old man who won't be able to play past 30 mpg won't help .. WCF - Lakers v Spurs ECF - Boston v Orlando Spurs v Orlando finals. Thats what i predict.

Man i can't [expletive]ing wait ..

lol yeah i was thinking to myself what is this guy talking about? .. I don't think you read what i said the first time. Anyway i disagree dude, Pierce was the leader for that team, i am not taking anything away from Rondo though, the guy is a great point guard but i question his leadership ability and mentality. That ranks high in my terms of a player because i really don't see much of it from Rondo, i see talent in terms of his passing and overall versatility but with nothing behind it. Also i never said anything about CP3's steals making him a good defender and Iverson .. blah blah haha .. i dunno where that came from dude .. lol

Vince with ease.

Even if he joins the Lakers the Spurs are still the team to beat in the West. People seem to forget how deadly Duncan, Parker and Ginobilli were, now they have Jefferson, Mason and Blair filling in needed spots, they have no empty spots on that roster .. they are loaded and more talented the the Lakers are.

Carter: I'm Still Pinching Myself
Klashnekoff replied to The Goods's topic in Orlando Magic Team Forum
^ lol again? Hopefully we see VC take his game back to the first arriving to New Jersey times, you can't wish on the Toronto times because i guess he's too old to play like that. However this guy is lethal on offense, who cares about Turkoglu when you have a guy that can make a shot anywhere on the court, he has major range. Also many people who didn't watch him in NJ will soon know he has handles and can pass the rock in fact better then Turkoglu. -
Vince Carter Happy to be Back Home
Klashnekoff replied to Teletopez's topic in Orlando Magic Team Forum
The Nets are a joke because they traded for a future? .. Vince has a fat contract which pushes Orlando insanely over the top in terms of cap space. It was a business move by the Nets, we did this to secure a bright future and free up money. I don't see how they are a joke.. seriously when a team trades for a 37 year old to magically 'fix' their problems in terms of defending the best big man in the league today; Dwight Howard then they are the joke. -
Wait so you admit he has personality problems which obviously do affect his leadership? .. Also those trade rumors were recent as he was offered with Ray Allen to i believe Phoenix? .. I would rather have a guy who is a true leader then one that has personal problems which affect his leadership. Now people get it twisted and think assists = leadership. No it doesn't. Rondo has yet to lead a team, Pierce and Allen led the Celtics in the playoffs last season. Rondo did his part and played well, he stepped it up in the absence of KG as that other player to go to. His scorer is however no were in level to a all-star. Sure you pass the ball around and get assists because you play flashy and have hall of famers in your team, of course your going to average 8-9 APG. His rebounds were explained by me, he got loose rebounds, i am not taking anything away from him though, the kid can rebound but does a point guard need to do that? .. No. That is just taking away from your team mates games.. i see that as him not being a true leader, he is trying to do more then is required of him.. Finally Rondo is definitely not the best defender at the 1. lmao. No man, you heard of that guy they call CP3? .. Yeah he is.
-
^ Wait? .. Your knocking a player you just drafted? .. This guy is great, he has charisma, somewhat what Iverson had. Many people who don't play basketball won't know that the game takes 75% character and mentality. The other 25% is gifted skill and athleticism. You look at Kobe Bryant, he is where he is today because of his mentality and character towards the game. Not to mention he is also skillful and athletic but his mentality reigns over all his facets of the game, he is focused night in and night out. That is what makes a player and i think Jennings has the 'potential' to be great if he has his focus in check.

Rod Thorn Answers Questions in Conference Call
Klashnekoff replied to Teletopez's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
I'm not upset about anything, i am looking forward to the future. We have Lopez and Harris who are the pieces we need to start our build up. We didn't do that when we had Kidd, we move too many pieces around from K-Mart, Carter, Jefferson, Krstic and nothing eventuated from it. Now we have the most crucial pieces of a team a soon to be star Center and a all-star point guard. If our young players develop strong then we are in a great position to be back in the top end of the Eastern Conference once we sign in 2010 when our cap is looking better. Very much so looking forward to the Nets future. -
Nets Exercise Team Option on Hayes
Klashnekoff replied to Teletopez's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
Hayes > Simmons. These guys will be gunning for the SF spot on the roster. It's really a toss up between them unless T-Will has a amazing season and takes that SF out their hands.. -
Who is our point guard? lol Alston wouldn't be for long with a expiring contract ...
-
^ Exactly man, i like the move we made instead of getting 'Gortat' like Poppa and Chilli were feeling so strongly about. It's obvious guys that the Nets didn't feel the same way as you otherwise they would have acquired Gortat instead of Lee... Now we have the front court i wanted to see, Lopez, Sean, Boone and uhh.. Yi. However i am optimistic about next season and looking to give Yi a chance in my terms. He has got potential, hopefully he reaches that potential soon. As for Sean i love seeing him in this position, if Lopez and Yi start the C and PF then Sean is going to be our main big man back-up next to Battie and i think Boone will fall back into the 3rd string. Which means Sean has a great opportunity to prove himself, hopefully he has worked on things in his absence.
-
Because he doesn't have the mentality.. look read the news bro. The Celtics want to move his [expletive] because of his attitude, you can have all the skill in the world but if your mentality isn't correct then you will fail and stay mediocre and borderline.. Harris is just as good on defense so i don't know what your talking about, i watch most Atlantic division teams and in comparison they are just as good.. In terms of passing i would go with Harris too. You say that Glen Davis had a breakout season right, well what about Brook Lopez who had a better season then him and was a rookie in fact?
-
I'll take Harris... obviously? lol Rondo needs to learn how to hit 3 point shots, mid range shots efficiently and shooting off the dribble. Harris has a very well polished offensive game for a point guard, among the best we have seen for a while. I dare say similar but just falling short of Allen Iverson's offensive game, not to mention the kid is a better ball distributor and possibly a better defender then Iverson. Obviously not the same mentality as the great Iverson but that is rare and Rondo is much more further from that mentality of a true leader then Harris is, you can guarantee that when the Celtics are looking to move him off the roster because he is not working well with the players and has personal problems.. which you NEVER want from you point. I think people really underrate the defense of Devin Harris though, he is very effective in the full court and that is due to his speed, he can get on-ball steals off double teams and pressure steals very easy, as does Rondo, but Rondo may have the upper hand in that department but i will leave it as a draw in terms of defense. Overall i don't see why you don't take Harris, he is the better player overall and doesn't come with the personal and non-leadership baggage. Others may say that he played well in the playoffs but you look at the various different factors that caused his 'amazing' statistics. He played nearly a whole game during the first round, you have a guy who can't rebound well who was starting in Davis. Perkins ain't that great either, hence left open rebounds of missed shots for Rondo to grab quickly and most of the time the Celtic bigs let them go out to Rondo to keep the tempo high. Now in the 2nd round of the playoffs Rondo fell off hard, he was being guarded by a worse point guard in Alston.. i mean if that isn't inconsistency then what is .. you won't get that from Harris, that's for sure... Don't get me wrong though, Rondo is a great point guard of the future, however at the moment i wouldn't compare him to the likes of Harris, CP3, Deron, Nash, Kidd.

Cavs i can say will not make the finals. They just don't have the talent behind LeBron and no Shaq is not that guy, he is 37 and doesn't possess the ability he once had, you may say 'oh but he had 18ppg and like 8rpg last season' .. he was playing with Mr. Nash. Obviously he is going to be better in terms of scoring but then you go to Cleveland, Mo Williams is not a point guard like Nash is, he is a shoot first/almost SG. LeBron is a excellent passer but LeBron won't be getting Shaq the looks like Nash got him, so he ain't going near that 18ppg and 8rpg region in terms of statistics. Just not possible when you have Varejao and Ilguaskas who are competing with Shaq to either start and get minutes in the Cavs rotation. You look at the Suns line-up last season, that is another reason as to why Shaq played so well.. Amare was out and they have pretty much no solid big men other then Shaq, so Shaq got more minutes then expected. That won't happen in Cleveland so Shaq being there is pretty much useless and not going to propel them to the finals. It just won't when other teams have prepared far much better then Cleveland has. I personally see a: Magic v Spurs finals They are the most prepared and best looking in terms of talent and productivity both offensive and defensive wise. Then at a reach i say the Spurs win the championship.

Shaq Nixed Trade To Blazers
Klashnekoff replied to The Goods's topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
I doubt Portland offered for Shaq. Shaq likes to feel important around the league .. no one needs him in retrospective and he knows it. Watch him fail in Cleveland and LeBron leaving to go to NY, NJ, Memphis etc. -
