Battier for Gay sounds good to me. We'd miss his leadership though, but we get pretty much everything else in Trevor Ariza but younger.

Trevor played nice tonight. Created some shots for his teammates, played defense and scored. If he could only be consisted with this. Battier had a hell of a a game by the way.

Well you basically trade nothing for James White. He's been working hard all summer, improve his jump shot and will work hard. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being the backup SG to JR.

Houston Chronic Unless I misread this T-Mac is back in practice which is great. Also glad to see Ariza finally is in Houston working out and picked a house, I find it funny how he's going to be living across the street from T-Mac. Hopefully they can build a good friendship seeing Ariza plays on using T-Mac gym. And thank god we are finally going to have new jerseys. I've never really been a fan of the current ones, hopefully they add a third color in black on them.

The Rockets are not likely to sign either until shortly before players must report Sept. 28, though Temple has been working out with the Rockets training staff throughout the summer and Conroy joined the workouts on Friday. Temple was undrafted out of LSU after last season. Conroy, a 6-2 point guard, was a first-team All NBA-Development League team player, averaging 26.5 points and setting the D-League record of 53 points in a game. The all-time assists leader at the University of Washington, he has had brief stints in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies. Barring other changes, the Rockets would have 19 players under contract when Conroy and Temple sign. With two of their three centers – Joey Dorsey and Mensah-Bonsu – also working at power forward, the Rockets could also add a center before training camp. Will Conroy wouldn't be a bad fit, we don't have a third PG atm. He averaged 26 and 8 in the d-league. Including a game where he had 27pts, 9 boards and 18 dimes. Rockets have a lot of tough decisions coming there way. I think Barry, Temple, White and most likely will be cut/traded.

I think Houston should go after him, why not? They want to get younger, faster and more athletic. Ellis is all those things and more. Defense is a strong weakness but he plays the passing lanes. Not sure what they would want..
