Rick Nash adds size and power to a top line, something that Kane doesn't add any of. I'd like to see you name 29 forwards that you could make a legitimate argument that they bring more to a team then Nash. And thats more then just points.

How can you call Rick Nash far from elite? He's only one of, if not the best power forwards in the game today. He's one of the only guys in the league that can add a unique level of pure skill to a big powerful body. So to say Nash>Kane, is not far off at all. Kane may have better hands and speed, but Nash adds more in his full game then just skill, which he does not lack much of at all. To say that Nash is only marginally better then Burrows is whats really laughable. The only one on that line that is arguably not elite is Brad Richards.

There should be a poll, but I think D-Rose is the better player without question.

the big questions for the Jays coming into the season for me are can the new additions to the bullpen for the Jays be enough to win us some more games, and can Jose Bautista hit homers like he was doing before the allstar break last year again. One thing that I think some people have forgotten, is he went pretty much ice-cold after that point.

Nash is a 70 point player playing with guys that are lucky to be 50 point players. Playing with a 90+ point player and an 80+ point player will bring him up a shit load. And looking at the three team you listed, I see it as: Chicago: Gaborik>Hossa Richards<Toews Kane=Nash Thats being generous to Kane too. Vancouver: Gaborkik=D. Sedin Richards<H. Sedin Kane>Burrows You definitely have the argument that that line has WAY better chemistry, but individual skill level hjas got to go to NYR Anahiem: Gaborik>>>>>>Blake Richards<Getzlaf Nash=Perry Maybe if Anahiem had Bobby Ryan on their first line it would be closer. All the other ones you said are just two really good players on a line with some other throw in for the most part. This Ranger line would have three of the leagues ELITE players all on the same line. All of which are right around their prime. Not young players who are unproven, or old geasers who are showing declines in their game.

And Chris Bosh's first game back. The amount of signs calling him a baby and everything was pretty crazy. Obviously raptors aren't close to OKC, but in those moments Raps fans get pretty crazy.

Nash-Richards-Gaborik would be automatically the best line in the league.

Not to mention he just signed a deal that's paying him around 20 million a year for the next 5 years with the Bulls. What the [expletive] could he even do with all that money?

Great post. I agreed with everything you said. One little thing i'd like to say about last nights game. Even though I know it was only one game, Demar showed a signifigant improvement in his mid-range jumpers compared to the rest of the year. Hopefully he can keep that up.

I've liked Demar's ability to shoot mid-range jumpers tonight. He's been very consistent, and now he's got 20 points in 3 straight games.
