Ok, I went and counted, and Lombardi has had 9 games this season where he had under 12 minutes on the ice. I don't know about you but i consider under 12 being fourth line minutes. 9 games out of his 33 might not be a lot, but its certaintly more than your making it out to be. I also went and looked at this, and Lombardi had one game this year where he had 19:18 TOI. That I would consider 1st line minutes. Other than that he had one where he's only had one game over 16 minutes. Kessel averages 19:43 TOI and Lupul average 18:45, so I would consider top line minutes 18-20 minutes on the ice.. Ok, you got me on the whole recovery period thing. I thought I remembered him being eased into the first couple weeks of games, but obviously I was off on that. Fourth liners on the Leafs average 10-11 minutes a game, so 12 is really not a big stretch from that. Ok your right about that. in a bottom six role, its better to have someone who is physical and can grind it out in the corners and win some puck battles. I'd just like to throw in there that that basically fully describes Armstrong, who you described as a scrub. Thats a whole different argument, so I won't get started on that. I think you're right about Frattin having more hustle in his game. When he was with the big club he was going all out on every shift, and that was something I really liked about him. I'm not saying its a good thing, but that kind of shows that Lombardi has gotten around the same production that Frattin had without going hard on every shift. If Lombardi would just use his blistering speed more often, he would have much more scoring chances. If Frattin was going all out on every shift and only managed 10 points in 37 games, than he obviously needs to improve. You're right though. It's better to have someone who goes hard on every shift then someone who is lazy and doesn't produce as much as he should because of what almost seems like laziness.

Problem with Derozan could just be he's not the type of player that has the skill-set to be relied on to be a teams #1 scorer. When hes the top player on our team, we're basically screwed because he doesn't have the capability to carry a team. Although he wasn't doing much before bargs got hurt too. I don't know, I just hope he can snap out of it.

Wow. final score 100-64? Rondo wasn't even playing? How can we be THAT bad?

Mathew Lombardi has played the majority of his time for the leafs on the 4th line with a bit of third line minutes. I don't remember any 10 games where he played with Kessel/Lupul. I can only remember 1 or 2 when he played with them. Plus in his first 10 games back or so, he barely played at all because he was coming off a rally tough injury, so he was kind of eased into playing time. Lombardi has a tone of speed which is really what keeps him in an NHL lineup. When he's using his speed to skate right by defenders, he really looks good out there. I guess you can say that Frattin has a more physical side to him, but when he was on the leafs, he just seemed to keep turning the puck over by not being able to get by the defenders. Plus what everyone seemed to be most excited about when he was coming into the Leafs lineup, the one timer, was basically non existent.

T-Mac Mocking Canadian National Anthem?
DunkinDerozan replied to raptorgaetano's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Like what Universe said, i've always heard him speak well about his time in TO. That I found very disrespectful though, whether he was mocking the singer or the anthem. You'd think after being a part of the league this long that he would no doing something so idiotic wouldn't go over too well. -
I think Derozan is still worth getting excited about. He just needs to have his skills more utilized. He's only 22 years old though I believe, so its not like he's reached his peak. He just needs to improve his range to be able to make those defenders play him closer, which will give him more room to slash at the basket. I still have full belief in Demar. Davis has been pretty disappointing this year. Bayless has been the Raps leading scorer in the past two, so he is showing signs of improvement. I can see Johnson being a great player to come off the bench, like he's been this season. I don't ever see him being a starter on a contending team.

I love the coloured logos! Nice job.

I know what you're saying about all the signings keeping all our young talent in the minors. Kadri and Colborne both deserve spots in the NHL lineup IMO. Aulie was great last year, but he seemed to have regressed a bit so I wouldn't say its a given that he should have a spot on the NHL lineup. Frattin had a loooong stint with the the big club at the start of the year, and although he was alright, he really generated almost no offense.

Yeah you're right. I was just really irritated last. night. But my god, have you noticed how bad Luke Schenn has been this year, or is it just me? He has not developed any kind of offensive game at all. I'm not saying that scoring goals is part of Schenn's job, because I could care less if he scored or not. Its just the fact that not only does did he miss a cross-crease pass that should have been a tap in, but he also missed another open net on a little left to right move. Not only that, but the number of times he's given the puck away in his own end is too much too count. He has absolutely no puck control whatsoever and I know he cost us atleast one goal by not clearing the puck or missing on another horrible pass. Me personally, I could care less if they trade him. I hope he can snap out of how bad he has been playing, and maybe go back to being one of the solid shut down defense like he was last season.

Super Bowl XLVI: NY Giants vs. New England

I don't know about it being over 55. It could be close though. I see the final score being like 24-21 -
I went with the Rubio one. I like the clarity of it more than the other ones, and the large text on the angle is nice too.

Even though I am not a fan of his whatsoever, I've got to go with Bosh. Younger, more athletic and has really been crazy good this year while Wade has been hurt.

DeAndre is nasty with his blocks.

Raptors 2011-2012 Tanking/Draft Anticipation
DunkinDerozan replied to Check my Stats's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Now I wish I watched this instead of watching the Leafs blow a lead and the Raptors get spanked yet again. -
Although that is true that they have played about half their games withot their best player, when they don't have Bargnani they are something like 1-7, so its not really that they have even played decent without him. The Raptors record is pretty deceiving IMO. although 7-15 (after tonights loss) is only 3 games back of the 8th seed, the Raptors have been only 4-12 since their 3-3 start. Judging how they have played recently, I see no chance of this team challenging for a playoff spot. You never know though.
