  1. I can understand what Nashty is saying. If Nash went to NY he would have a much better chance at a championship for sure. They've got a good team, and with the right coaching I think Nash, Melo and Amare could be a contender in the East. Still almost no chance they get past Miami, but they atleast have a much better chance than TO.
  2. Davis for sure for me. Some other guys will probably put up better offensive numbers, but his all around game should win it for him. He'll make a HUGE presence in New Orleans.
  3. Would have liked to see Edwin Encarnacion and/or Colby Rasmus make it. Both are having great years for the Jays.
  4. Lol yeah I remember there being a thread earlier in the season about the possibility of Nash coming to Toronto. I said I highly doubted it would happen assuming he would want to sign with a contender. Also the fact that he's from Victoria and thats pretty far from Toronto, so its not like we have home town advantage. Now its looking like if he signs with us, that he'll be doing it for the good of basketball in Canada, where its not nearly as popular as Nash would probably like.
  5. Sounds great. It's to the point now where I'll be shocked if he doesn't sign with us, and i'll be very disappointed.
  6. I guess you could sign someone like Billups or Nelson, but I think Calderon would be a better fit in LA then those guys.
  7. Either iMan or Check my Stats or anyone else who thinks they would be able to put in the time to run a sim league should definitely do it. I say start a separate thread and see how many people comment in the thread that they are interested in being in it. Hopefully enough people would be interested.
  8. Calderon would be a better backup PG than Steve Blake, so I don't see what you have against this. Or if Sessions is leaving like reports are saying, Calderon would be even more important for you guys considering Nash and Williams aren't interested in signing with the Lakers.
  9. Deron Williams-Brooklyn Nets Steve Nash- Toronto Raptors Gerald Wallace- Brooklyn Nets Ray Allen- Boston Celtics OJ Mayo- Miami Heat Jason Terry- LA Clippers Jason Kidd- Brooklyn Nets Andre Miller- Dallas Mavericks Chauncey Billups- Portland Trailblazers Jeff Green- New Orleans Michael Beasley (added in)- LA Lakers
  10. Shit I really thought that having his good buddy Jake Gardiner might be enough to bring him to Toronto. Oh well, we really don't need him on the team, it would just be nice to get a top prospect of his talent for nothing. I feel really bad for Anaheim that they had to lose him.
  11. If we do I'm in. Is there anyone here who has experience running a sim league?
  12. I really hope we bring Bayless back. I'd prefer we just trade Calderon to a team that needs him like the Lakers or maybe the Trailblazers or something. Bayless really impressed me last year, and I think at the very least he could be a very good back up point guard for us. Weems on the other hand, I honestly forgot he was still on the team. Like you said, with Ross being drafted, Weems is good as gone.
  13. Agreed. He clearly is trying very hard to expand the popularity of basketball in Canada since he took the job as GM of Canadian basketball Joining the Raptors would be a big step in doing that. Also he'll be in Canada so it will bee much easier to do all of his Canadian Basketball business.
  14. Its hard to say. For me, it all depends on how good Drummond can get. Right now Cousins>Monroe easily, but Drummond could end up being much better then Robinson.
  15. ^ Kevin Durant & Lebron gunna light it up.
  16. congrats to JYD and check my stats for your 3 year anniversary on OTR/DH
  17. That number will probably change with the new CBA though.
  18. I don't see him signing in Brooklyn. Might just be my Toronto bias, but if he's going to sign in New York I would think it would be with the Knicks.
  19. Completely agreed. Before the draft, the 3 teams that he was rumored to be interested in were Portland, Phoenix and Toronto. Both Phoenix and Portland drafted PG who are going to be expecting pretty good minutes. That leaves us. I hope to [expletive]ing god that we get him.
