Kyle Lowry Sprains Ankle
raptorgaetano replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
2 sports teams fans in T.O fell in love with 2 guys named Lowry and Lawrie who both play all out but with that comes DL stints -
That is true but Bargs gained his weight cause inactivity during the summer ie inactivity means out of shape . I am not saying he is fat or over weight I am saying he came to camp 15 pounds heavier which was the result of inactivity . His shot is flat which I contribute to fatigue cause he is exhuasted faster .

It's Oct 31st which means Holloween and What to do with DeRozan ? James Harden has been in the news lately but since DeRozan is in the same draft class as Harden , the question has to be asked to Colengelo and Raptor Fans . DeRozan extension ya or nay and how much $$$ money would you write the chq for to keep him ?

The B.S Report with Bill Simmons has got the Raps winning more then the 33 wins which is the Vagas line on the Raps ... Every year before the season starts Bill has a podcast and uses the Vagas lines to have a podcast and he gives his opinion on if the team will win more then the line or less . Often he is negative toward the Raps ie he goes with the fact they will lose more then what Vagas is saying but this year he is positive and he pics the Raps as one of the locks that they will go over . http://espn.go.com/espnradio/podcast/archive?id=2864045 -
If he was a traditional big man who just sat in the post and got his points under the basket I would say your right who cares . Wow have we lost all perspective here ? A guy is getting paid 11 million dollars and he can't come into camp in peak condition . You look at any sucessful team and you will see a simple formula which is " when your best players are your hardest workers on and off the court then you will see sucess "

Former Toronto Raptors Head Coach Sam Mitchell vehemently denied a story Jalen Rose detailed in his piece for Grantland, whereby the former Raptor player stated Mitchell and Vince Carter got into a physical altercation before the Raptors were set to take on the Portland Trail Blazers in the team's seventh game of the 2004-05 season. Listen now: Sam Mitchell with Tim Micallef and Sid Seixeiro http://www.sportsnet.ca/590/2012/10/12/nba_toronto_raptors_sam_mitchell_w_tim_micallef_and_sid_seixeiro/

Toronto Raptors hire former Los Angeles Lakers athletic coordinator Alex McKechnie – NBA News On Thursday, the Toronto Raptors officially announced the hiring of the renowned physical trainer Alex McKechnie, who was previously the athletic performance coordinator for the Los Angeles Lakers. You would think the Raps wouldn't have these type of injuries with a guy like Alex McKechnie in the fold ?

raptorgaetano replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Aandrea Bargnani well rested and 15 pounds bulked up was the headline .. My question is ? Is that a nice way of saying didn't train much and gained 15 pounds cause Andrea looked slow with no jump last night -
I hope it was just rust but Bargs looked like his feet were in quick sand .

Bargnani Bulking Up: Good or Bad?

Just wondering on a 7 foot frame is 15 pounds really that much ? Bargs has a thick body frame ( unlike Bosh ) and will never be asked to pose for Men's Health . -
Raptors' Valancuinas injures foot With training camp still a week away, prized Raptors prospect Jonas Valanciunas has injured his left foot. While the team said a full update likely wouldn't be coming until Monday, Valanciunas does not appear to be seriously injured, though he was photographed in a walking boot outside the ACC this weekend. Valanciunas, like most basketball players, has had minor ankle issues in the past and walking boots are known to speed up recovery from minor sprains and strains. He was not using crutches and was putting weight on the foot, both positive signs. Valanciunas was to meet with the local media for the first time in nearly 15 months on Monday, but now likely won't do so until Oct. 1st, the team's official media day. The Raptors start training camp in Halifax on Oct. 2nd.

1 Federer, Roger (SUI) 11,075 2 Djokovic, Novak (SRB) 11,000 3 Nadal, Rafael (ESP) 8,905 4 Murray, Andy (GBR) 7,460 Roger Federer breaks another record this week and he didn't even play . A record that even Roger's biggest fan didn't think he would break when he lost his number 1 ranking 2 years ago .. Roger Federer has surpassed Pete Sampras to set the record for the most weeks at No. 1 in the ATP rankings. After winning Wimbledon a week ago, Federer returned to the top for the first time since June 2010 and his 287th week at No. 1, one more than Sampras. The 17-time Grand Slam champion says he's "extremely proud and honoured to have beaten Pete's record as he was my childhood hero and I have always looked up to him." The Swiss star will enter the Olympics next week as the world's top-ranked player. Sampras says "the hardest thing to do in sports is the ability to stay on top. Roger has been able to do so by great play and durability."

Is MLSE again showing how friggin cheap they are Is and how they aren't serious about winning ? Brian Burke only baried one contract ( Jeff Finger ) and why don't the Raps amnesty Jose Calderon ?? How many friggin free agents keep signing ( OJ Mayo for one and Brooks two yesterday ) which we could have signed with Jose's 8 million amnestied contract ????
