  2. Our defense is pathetic. Blatche continues to piss me off.
  3. Amir Johnson already hurt, looks like he sprained his ankle. Gee is great on the fastbreak and has a knack for stealing the ball, glad to see him starting again.
  4. Wall is a gametime decision, hopefully he see's some action on the court tonight. At least bring him off the bench please... -_- EDIT:
  5. 100% agree. But the thing is, would Orlando want Arenas if there's another off the court issue? They're already taking a gamble with team chemistry, etc, I don't think they want to bring in a player that could potentially have more drama surrounding him. I've been so frustrated with Blatche, but Ernie Grunfeld would be a dead man walking if he was THAT desperate to deal away Arenas (who has proven to be an effective player with or without John Wall, and a good mentor and friend to John). And just to clear everything up, here's Ted Leonsis: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/wizardsinsider/2010/12/ted-leonsis-on-arenas-trade-ru.html
  6. I hate using that logic, because it seems like everyone is blaming LeBron simply because he was drafted by the Cavs and was raised there. He's an NBA player, it's free agency, yeah there are external factors that went along with his decision, but regardless, you gotta give him props for making the better (not best) decision for his career and legacy. If me saying LeBron made the right decision to leave Cleveland is considered supporting "The Decision" then yes, I guess I am because I have been saying it for a long time now. I absolutely hate the guy, I've hated him since he entered the league, and will never forget those playoff series against the Wiz. I'm just annoyed at the literally insane reactions some people are having. No one is saying he had no help, I hate hearing that as well. BUT, would a guy like LeBron (desperate for rings) seriously pass up on an opportunity to play with Boozer/Rose or Wade/Bosh for Mo Williams/Antawn Jamison? Come on.. Last years Cavs squad was great, I'm not refuting that, but did anyone seriously expect them to get past the Celtics/Magic/Lakers? I think what most people are overlooking in the Heat situation is that this is what you call a ripple effect of the Boston deal two years ago. LeBron knows how teams are stacking up, he see's a dynamic duo in L.A. and one of the greatest trio's ever in Boston. He wasn't going to stay loyal for long, hence all the talk that "if Cleveland loses in the playoffs, LeBron will leave." I think it's safe to say had LeBron stayed, they would still reach their full potential, a top 4 seed in the East and a second round exit to one of the power houses (ORL or BOS). Like I said, that strategy can only go so far. When defenses realize all you need to do is force LBJ out of the paint, it puts a ton of pressure on him. Will Mo step up and become a true second fiddle? No. Will Jamison? No. Whether his elbow was hurt or not in the playoffs, the C's were going to put pressure on him to make jumpshots just like they always do when they meet up with the Cavs. The C's will live like they always have with LBJ shooting J's all night. And LeBron knows he's under pressure to make these jumpshots because the C's will foul him when he drives, and then the same pressure applies at the free throw line. He knows he won't beat a team like the Celtics or Lakers without having a reliable second fiddle. I agree, they do have a right to be angry, bitter, whatever you want to call it. But neglecting everything the man did the past 7 years is what annoys me.
  7. So because he decided to make his decision privately without anyone knowing, that's erases all the records he broke and all the wins he racked up as a Cav? Like I said, Cleveland can be mad at him, but they can't act like he didn't lead them to the finals and basically reinvented basketball in that city. And let's not act like acquiring Jamison and Shaq were blockbuster moves either. Gilbert knew when getting Jamison you would be adding a completely different piece to the puzzle. Yeah he is a good shooter, but what did he bring on defense? Isn't Jamison known for being an undersized, soft PF? Hell, LeBron himself could play the 4 position better than Jamison can.. And bringing in a 35 year old Shaq isn't going to get you past the Celtics, they should have known that. This is a league filled with superstars, unless you have multiple stars on your team, you will not win a championship. It's been like that for the past few years.
  8. I had a feeling some day Arenas would wind up in Orlando. He has denied reports that his relationship with Otis Smith would trigger trade talks between the two franchises, but it seemed pretty clear to me that there was mutual interest between the two (Otis and Gil). But I'm not worried about what's being reported here, because I HIGHLY doubt we go for Rashard Lewis (who happens to make more money than Gil) while also adding Dray. Clearly the Wizards are interested in a Carter for Arenas swap, but Orlando doesn't want to give up on Carter. But I'm a bit worried in having a disgruntled Carter for the next 65 or so games, my best guess is that we either waive him or send him to a third team. I'm just hoping we're able to get some young talent in return. No, not Daniel Orton either..
  9. http://oi44.tinypic.com/243hwdj.jpg At this point, everything lies on the players. Spoelstra is no Pat Riley, but he isn't Randy Wittman either.
  10. It's free agency, he doesn't owe the city anything, it's his career and his life, and it's his decision. I know a ton of Cavs fans that hate him, but not because of him leaving.. it's because of how he left. How did he screw the franchise? By leaving? So I guess Shaq screwed you guys over when he left too? More than anything else, you're honoring them as a player. The number signifies what they did on the court. Don't start posting BS about his personality, everyone and their mama knew how terrible his personality was a long time ago, and you're just figuring it out. I wouldn't hate him for leaving Cleveland, but I would hate him for stabbing the city in the heart on National TV as well as torturing the fans for nearly a week before slamming the door in their faces with no warning. Nor do I think it's a bad decision for him to leave to play with his friends, but I do hate that he claims Miami gave him the best opportunity to win ( I was so convinced that he would go to Chicago). And I most certainly cannot blame him for chasing money (because he could have received more in Cleveland), but I can blame him for chasing ego. I think people forget that: 1. Lebron put Cleveland back in the NBA map and added millions of dollars to the bank account of Gilbert. 2. These fans owe Lebron MORE than what they actually think he owes them. That's the sad and painful truth. But that is the truth. Same goes for Dan Gilbert. Another reason why you Cleveland fans hate him so much is due to him making the Cavs consistent winners every season for the past 5 or so years. Now that he is gone, you all feel that you will be nothing but losers. That's the painful truth. It seems like there's very little to do with paying his respects BS. Put it this way, if Cleveland failed to go to the playoffs every year under the LBJ era, would you guys be upset that he left? Or would you say, "good riddance"? Why? Because the only thing that matters is that he made you guys winners. When Lebron said "I've spoiled you with my play" was he lying?
  11. I hate LBJ as much as the next guy, but damn, some of these posts are ridiculous. Am I the only one that remembers LeBron taking a mediocre Cavs team to the Finals? He's done so much for that city, yes, he should get his jersey retired there. Will he? Probably not, but that's only due to how butthurt everyone is over his decision.

  13. Not sure why people are still putting Arenas on their lists, he hasn't exactly been clutch this season.. A few years ago I said he was the second best clutch player in the league, but not anymore. Kobe is, and will probably go down as the greatest last-second shot maker in the league. Not sure how anyone can say Melo is better..
  14. Yup, definitely watching this game, going to be crazy. First time I'll ever root for the Cavs like I'm a die hard fan.
  15. Damn, we finally had our offense rolling and then commit a few stupid turnovers which led to the Heat scoring.
  16. Boozer wanted LeBron to join him in Chicago and they had the cap space to sign two max players.
  17. My God this has been a terrible quarter.
  18. What is that, Alonzo Gee's third attempt at a poster dunk?
  19. Solid quarter from us, JeVale looking ultra soft right now in the paint, there were a few plays where he could have blocked a shot or prevented an easy lay up. Gotta cut down on turnovers as well. Dray with a great start to the game, nice to see him find a rhythm.
  20. Wall is out, Yi is out, and JeVale won't start but will play (back). ....yeah..... Miami wins by 50.
  21. I knew this kid had problems coming into the league regarding his work ethic and maturity, but wow.
  22. When the big three first formed in Boston, Doc was in the same situation Erik is in now. Rivers was on the hotseat and was known as the guy who led the Celts to a terrible record 3 years in a row, and was left only to rot while better coaches became available. What changed in Beantown was the heart of Pierce, and the attitude and leadership of KG. Their ability to listen to Rivers and as players, commanded great basketball behavior from every member of the team. Remember Rondo being looked at as a clear weakness and Perkins as a problem child out of high school? That was the players decision, not the decision of the coach. The same things should happen in Miami, but has not. Players are not taking control of the team, guys like LBJ and Wade need to start pointing out flaws in games and in practices, and set the example moving forward.
  23. Well like I said, I don't agree with the decision, but I'm sure the NFL's thinking process is that it was premeditated on the part of Finnegan to try and bait Andre Johnson into a fight. After going to his head/throat on multiple plays (who knows what he has been saying all game) he goes to the Texans sideline and tells them "Watch this." He then goes to his face/throat yet again and Johnson finally snaps and attacks a guy that has been referred to in the press as an embarrassment to the NFL prior to this for all the cheap/dirty tactics he uses. So I guess they are trying to discipline Finn for more than just this one incident.
  24. R.I.P. he was phenomenal in both Naked Gun and Airplane.
  25. Lol I agree with you completely, this decision was made because they didn't suspend Seymour (which I bet they are regretting), but the NFL did drop the ball on both incidents.
