  1. lol hes ok in my book

  2. The Rangers could have been up 3-0....Yankees need to wake up and make a statement tomorrow. Absolutely got dominated tonight, possibly the worst game they have played this year.
  3. Read more: http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/69618/20101018/jamison_likely_to_come_off_bench/#ixzz12ls8miI3 Jamison is set to make 28 million over the next 2 years.. Are the Cavs making this move because they know there's no way Jamison increases his trade value after his poor performance in the playoffs? If I were them, I'd start him, he's still a 20-9 guy as the main option, who knows what can happen then... Maybe he can raise his value or at least lead the Cavs to a respectable record.
  4. Bulls have a real post presence in Boozer, will more than likely be a better defensive team, and have a superstar in the making in Rose. I don't necessarily think the Hawks are overrated, but I don't have much confidence in them. Bulls should be able to win more in the regular season and do more damage in the playoffs.
  5. I always want the weekend to play out in the most beneficial way for the Skins. So as a Skins fan, I want the Cowboys to win plus a win for us against the Bears. At this point, I'm not worried about Dallas, they are not threatening our chances of winning the division or making the playoffs as much as New York is. As much as it pains me to say this, go Cowboys..... -_-
  6. Can't believe I didn't see this when I had posted it earlier...but I guess I'll post it here to generate more discussion. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmonsnfl2010/101015&sportCat=nba Turner responds on Twitter by saying: Does anyone see any logic behind Bill Simmons comparison? I really like Simmons, but wow... Turner is much more skilled than Morrison. He's not only a terrific scorer, but a great playmaker.
  7. After the Knicks game last night, Flip Saunders was asked if he thought there was a faster guy with the ball in his hands than John Wall. He replied by saying "I don't think so, no.." Who do you think is the fastest player with the ball in his hands? The first player that comes to mind (other than Wall) is Rondo.
  8. Let's also take into account that you need the right personnel for that specific coach. See the situation in Washington. Shanahan comes in, calls up Haslett and asks him to run the 3-4, now our defense is worse than last year's.
  9. A coach is worth a first rounder for sure, probably more. It's what separates a team like the Cowboys from a team like the Pats. The only exception to this is the Colts because they essentially have a player/coach in Peyton Manning. I do believe coaching is much more important in football (not just pro football but college as well) than in baseball, basketball, or hockey...and it really is not close. Most say football games are not won on Sundays, but during the week leading up to the game. I completely support that. Identifying and exploiting weaknesses of an opponent, and to deploy his own resources to exploit those weaknesses is the difference between a winner and a loser most of the time. I remember one reporter asked Steve Spurrier when he was coaching the Skins if he saw anything in upcoming opponent's defenses that he thought he could exploit. He went on to say "No we don't really pay too much attention to what they're doing, we just worry about what we're doing..." I knew from that point that we were not going to be successful under him.
  10. Solid game by us. An inch here or there and it's a different outcome. We held our own against a good team tonight. Kinda upset we're third in the division, but it's whatever. We need to fire Haslett though, this defense is just not working. We got lucky on those turnovers, we're giving up too much yards. Colts averaged around 78ypg with the run entering tonight, and we gave them over 160.....pretty pathetic. Something has to be done, I'm so used to our offense struggling but our defense holding their own, it's the exact opposite (actually, our offense is struggling.... so I really don't know what to give credit to here).
  11. Yeah I understand that he could have hit him without completely leveling Desean, but it's in the heat of the moment, sometimes you just can't control your actions. And while it looked like he was leading with his helmet, he did in fact hit him with his shoulder. So how was he defenseless? That's what I'm wondering. he caught the ball, the ball was in play, and was eligible to get tackled.
  12. ...but the point is he did have the ball in his hands, and as soon as a receiver is in contact with the ball, a defender is allowed to hit him.

  14. 49ers onto their first win of the season.
  15. Thank God at least one NFC East team lost today. Now gotta pray the Skins win. Dallas falls to 1-4, gotta love it. :glasses:
  16. 4 minutes to go, Romo with the ball down by 3. Will he choke?
  17. Not sure I agree with that. Hilton Armstrong isn't anything special, JeVale McGee is still extremely raw, Seraphin is a project, Hamady probably won't even be playing with us this year, and Booker is more of a SF/PF. Dray is the only lock for us in the starting line up. If Yi continues to impress the coaching staff, he could very well get 20-25 minutes. I've also heard that Flip is experimenting with a big line up of Arenas (or Wall)-Kirk-Dray-Yi-McGee. I think because of his versatility, it will allow him to get more than enough minutes to prove himself to the league.
  18. [expletive], tied up now. Let's go Vikings.
  19. lol nice hopefully u stay active here

  20. We all know about the flaws in Yi's game, he's soft, cannot play with other bigs in the paint, and is an average at best rebounder. But as I have been watching the preseason games, Flip has been showing a ton of confidence in him, giving him a lot of playing time, and it has been paying off. He's been playing well so far, his shot has looked good, and he's improving his rebounding. If JeVale doesn't perform well this year (and that is likely...I still don't have much faith in him right now), Yi could end up being named our starter. Last season in New Jersey he averaged 12PPG and 7RPG, which isn't terrible in 31MPG. I could see him averaging more than that in Washington with our three guard rotation (Wall, Arenas, Hinrich) setting him up off of pick n rolls. Is Yi poised to have a break out year in 2010-2011?
  21. Haynesworth inactive, now this..... [expletive].... Dallas might win today, Giants and Eagles have already won today, this could be a terrible week for us. -_- EDIT: Dallas lost, Thank God.
  22. Do you like the rule? I kinda agree with the overall idea of it, but is it really needed? During the Philly-ATL game, Desean Jackson caught the ball, turned around, and got leveled by Dunta Robinson. Desean had full possession of the ball, Robinson made a play on him, and was a shoulder to shoulder hit. Yeah it was a nasty hit, but that's football, right? I think this rule should only apply to plays where the ball is over thrown, uncatchable, or dropped. Like Ray Lewis said, "it's a man's game." You make the call... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwAhWlfF3NM
  23. yea every thread i go to results in a useless fight. at least over here theres always a good discussion going on despite the lack of activity on some days.

  24. Huge loss for the Packers, NFC is so wide open.
