Hinrich starts fresh with Wizards
AboveLegit replied to JWaLL's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
Yeah I'm watching the press conference right now, I love his attitude and the fact that he's willing to be apart of a rebuilding process rather than going to a contender such as the Lakers (where he was rumored to be going last year). -
I'm taking a risk, going to go with Sidney Rice. Brett Favre better return. http://cdn.cloudfiles.mosso.com/c117812/media_center/images/rendered/blog/wysiwyg/Sidney-Rice.jpg

Hawks- Jamal Crawford: Love his game, he has a killer crossover Celtics- Kevin Garnett: Grew up watching him, my favorite all time player Bobcats- Stephen Jackson: Good leader, really admire him for turning his career around Bulls- Derrick Rose: Love his game, one of the most exciting players Cavaliers- Antawn Jamison: Will always respect Tawn, he did so much for DC, a classy guy Mavericks- Dirk Nowitzki: Unique player, love watching him play Nuggets- Carmelo Anthony: Really hard to choose between him and Chauncey, but I love Melo Pistons- Richard Hamilton: Still remember his days in Washington.. Warriors- Stephen Curry: I had a good feeling about him before the draft, but didn't know he'd be this good Rockets- Yao Ming: Great fundamentals, love watching him work in the paint Pacers- Roy Hibbert: Watched him a ton in college, loved him in G'town, and am happy he's found a role as a starter Clippers- Eric Gordon: I really don't like anyone particular on the Clips, so I just chose Gordon... Lakers- Absolutely no one. I respect Kobe a ton, but I still hate him. Grizzlies- Greivis Vasquez: Normally I wouldn't say a player who hasn't played a single game in the NBA, but he's an exception. Possibly my favorite college player ever next to Juan Dixon, I will always follow him where ever he goes. Heat- I used to like Wade, but now, I just can't. Bucks-Brandon Jennings: Fun player to watch, extremely explosive Timberwolves-Kevin Love: Just like Gordon with the Clippers, I just chose Love randomly. No real reason. Nets- Brook Lopez: I have a soft spot for quality centers, I'm beginning to appreciate them more and more now since they're becoming a scarcity in this league Hornets- Darren Collison: Love his game, plays with so much energy, fun to watch Knicks- Amare Stoudemire: Really don't like anyone on the Knicks, but Amare is an exciting player to watch so I picked him Thunder- Kevin Durant: A popular pick indeed, but how can anyone not like him? Magic- I hate everyone on this team lol 76ers- I've always liked Iguodala, I don't like his contract, but I do believe he has what it takes to be a star Suns- Steve Nash: I'll always respect Nash, he's a warrior on the court, a legend of the game, and is fun to watch Blazers- Brandon Roy: Great scorer, fun to watch, and a top guard in this league Kings- Tyreke Evans: Eventually Cousins will pass him (I really like Cousins for this team and think he has a chance to become a great player), but Reke is the leader of this team and one helluva combo guard Spurs- Tim Duncan: Just like Durant, I just find it hard to hate him Raptors- Really don't like anyone on this team Jazz- Deron Williams: He has an amazing, lightning quick cross over, and is probably the best PG in the game Wizards- Gilbert Arenas: Eventually John Wall will pass him, but since John hasn't played a single game yet, I'm gonna still say Gil. I just can't get over the big three era, it brought so much excitement to the DC area, Arenas was loved here, and I just cannot find a way to hate this man even after everything he has done. I'll always be a supporter of Gil. All of the gamewinners I witnessed live at the MCI/Verizon Center, all of the next to impossible shots he made, the memories, the playoffs against the Bulls, he'll always remain one of my favorite players.

Hornets not listening to CP3
AboveLegit replied to magicbalala245's topic in New Orleans Pelicans Team Forum
Why would the Hornets want Ben Gordon's bloated contract in return? The key to trading CP3 is to rebuild, which is why they're packaging Emeka Okafor in this deal. They're in a bad position financially, the last thing they need is a contract like Gordon's. I'm sure all the Hornets want in return for CP3 and Emeka is expiring contracts, picks, and young talent. The best possible destination for Paul is Portland if you ask me, they have everything New Orleans wants and everything Chris Paul wants (which would be a contending team with a great supporting cast). Portland can offer young talent (such as Fernandez, Batum, Webster, etc), expiring contracts (Przybilla and Miller (roughly 7 million each), and picks. Not to mention bringing in a guy like Okafor would do wonders for Portland considering Oden's track record of injuries. -
There's nothing Kobe could do in his career that can match the magnitude of LBJ leaving Cleveland. Thus, LeBron is the more hated player.

Realballers (RBS). After weeks of waiting for the V2 or V3 of the site (forgot which one), members went crazy, and ditched the place. Danny posted a link to OTR, and I followed. I have been here ever since. -
Bulls prepared to add McGrady
AboveLegit replied to magicbalala245's topic in Chicago Bulls Team Forum
This could be a great signing for them as he could be a great spark off the bench, or this could just be a total waste of cap space. The Bulls have had a tremendous off season regardless. Last year they lacked scoring and knock down shooters, so they went out and got Korver, Brewer, and Tmac. They also lacked an inside presence, so they went out and got Boozer and Thomas. Love what the front office is doing in Chitown. -
Lmao yeah I saw the preview in theaters and laughed so hard. As soon as they showed Alan from the Hangover I knew this would be comedic gold. Seriously, pairing him up with RDJ is great, both are extremely funny.

Magic Johnson in todays generation?
AboveLegit replied to AboveLegit's topic in General NBA Discussion
Bird is so unique. It's extremely hard to find a player who's such a great shooter, yet such a tenacious defender. People hardly ever recognize him for his work on the defensive end of the court, but he was a very reliable defender. The first name that comes to mind when finding a modern day comparison for Bird would be Dirk, but he lacks the defense Bird had. -
I'll pick Aaron Rodgers http://www.sportandcinema.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/aaron_rodgers.jpg

Magic Johnson in todays generation?
AboveLegit replied to AboveLegit's topic in General NBA Discussion
Well I don't want to make it too subjective, from an objective standpoint, what position would he play? Has the role of a PG changed since the 80's, forcing Magic to play the SF position like LeBron? -
I'm in
-
The 6'8 point guard of the showtime Lakers was known for his flashy passes on the fast break, clutch performances when it mattered the most, and his ability to play every position on the floor making him arguably the most versatile player to hit the NBA hardwood. Many players often compare LeBron not to Jordan, but to Magic because of their similarities in playing style. With that being said, what position would Magic play in today's game? Would most NBA teams keep him at the PG, or use his size and versatility to play him in the front court like the Cavs did with LeBron?
-
Boston's approach to the free agency period has been terrific. They resigned their two main guys, and while they did happen to lose a key player off the bench in Tony Allen, they managed to sign two bigs that will be vital to their success come playoff time against Orlando/Miami.
-
Building your team through the draft is cheaper, puts you in a better position for the future financially, and lets your young studs' develop chemistry amongst eachother and lets them develop on their own rather than sharing the "star power".
-
Idk about that, I thought Untitled was pretty damn good.
-
What did you expect them to add add? Lebron? They did what they had to do, they had a very solid draft, they got an upgrade at the PG position (who happens to be a great fit in the triangle), and they are still looking to improve the bench. For a team that just came off a 2-peat, I'd say this has been a very successful off season.

It's not near the Lakers-Spurs ending (when Fisher hit the game winner with 0.4 secs) but I often compare this game to it. I remember watching this game completely, man was it exciting.
