  1. This song is great, love it. His album is going to be so good.
  2. Lmao, when I first saw this, I laughed so hard. Terry Crewes FTW.

  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KunZfFQdSK0&feature=player_embedded Eh, not feeling it to be honest, but it could grow on me when the album is finally released. Haven't heard any GREAT songs from the album (heard about 3-4 released tracks), but I'm still looking forward to it.
  5. I'll openly admit it, I had the Wizards as the fourth seed of the East this year, but what difference does it make? You're telling me because a certain team fails to meet the standards of fans and "experts", their season is deemed a failure? I'm sorry, but our season competitively was MAYBE 1-2 months tops. The rest was playing out the young guns, nothing more. Just like the Kings, Pacers, Nets, etc, the Wizards were in games to get their youth some experience on the court. Who wouldn't want to sign here? Well first off, no one is expecting a big name free agent to sign here, but it's always a positive when you're in a good financial position. The fact that you completely base these grades off of off season expectations is completely asinine, and serves no point. I could tell say the Bucks will win 60 games 7 months ago, so according to me, they're season is a failure? No. We had a goal, to get the bad contracts out, and to stay financially flexible for the next 3-4 seasons. Did we achieve this? Yes. What's wrong with giving Washington a D? You still have no supported the decision of giving the Pacers, Sixers, and Knicks a better grade? What is the logic behind giving an equally useless team like the Pacers a D?
  6. I'm not denying the fact that it was a failure of a season from a statistical standpoint, you'd have to be a real biased fan to think otherwise, but I do believe getting under the luxury tax was a main concern for this team's future. The Wizards won one more game than the Kings, yet you give them a B. There's a HUGE difference between the two according to you, and I'm curious, what is it? The fact that they got a young exciting team, or the fact that you portray the Wizards as a joke (which is understandable, but regardless it's not something that should be put into consideration? Yes, the Wizards underachieved, but after a month into the season, you knew this team was on the verge of rebuilding.
  7. Good article Erick, but I think you focused too much on records... The Wizards deserve a D, but if we're speaking objectively here, they managed to do something that will ultimately benefit them in the future. I've said it before, after all of us realized the Wizards were not a playoff team (that hit most, if not all of us in November), we did what we had to do, ship out all bad contracts, get under the luxury tax, and start fresh. We managed to address the Gilbert situation, in the words of Ernie Grunfeld "as long as he's under contract and has the desire to play basketball, Gilbert will be a Washington Wizard next season." He's still our centerpiece, always has been, always will be. And let's not forget the emergence of Andray Blatche.. Though I would've loved to see Nick Young break out (have been expecting it for quite some time now), I can settle for a big man who can take the scoring load off of Gil and whoever we draft, and also allows us to seek other positions with our 3 picks this year. To give the Knicks, Hornets, Sixers, Kings, and Pacers above a failing grade while giving the Wizards an F is either stupid or just a blatant double standard (no offense lol).
  8. Eh, I don't take into consideration what team a poster is a fan of, it has nothing to do with how smart they are. Some of the smartest posters I've ever posted with are Laker fans, Wizards fans, Raptors fans, etc. They all support different teams, but are great posters. I respect everyone regardless of who they support, (unless your a Cavs fan
  9. PG- Gilbert Arenas SG- Caron Butler SF- Paul Pierce PF- Kevin Garnett C- Brendan Haywood
  10. Happy Bday man, one of the few Cavs fans I can actually stand. Hope you have a great day.
  11. Yeah I should've added that into my post, sorry.
  12. We love to look at statistics, we love to look at how many All Star Games one has played in, but we all acknowledge the significance of the ring. Some people hold it high in regards to one's legacy, others look at it from an objective point of view, understanding that it's a team accolade, and not of an individuals. Regular season MVP awards are great to have on your belt, it shows you dominated a season through 82 games, it shows that you led your team to a great record and had the statistics to prove it. But like every award, it doesn't tell the whole story. How many of you had a different perception of this award once you saw Dirk go fishing after the historical playoff series against the Warriors? The Finals MVP is something to be cherished, because not only do you have that ring on your finger, you're holding up your own trophy proving your greatness in the Finals. Most believe the Finals MVP solidifies one's career, proving you can win on the big stage, proving you can lead a team to a ring, and showing that you have what it takes to win under pressure. Which award do you consider more valuable to one's legacy?
  13. I'm fine with him privately practicing. A lot is going to be on him to be prepared for the season considering that by doing this, he's putting the bulls eye on himself. But, I do think he wants to prove that he's worth the contract he signed, and even though I think he had a solid season last year, I can see the frustration in him, that he expects better of himself. Haynesworth needs to make sure he's doing what he needs to do to take care of business. If he does that, we are going to forget about this.
  14. Seems a little too far fetched, can't imagine seeing Haynesworth in a different uniform so quickly.
  15. I know Ed Davis isn't coming to the NBA till 2011, but I just want to throw his name into the discussion just for the hell of it. Ed Davis is going to be a good fit as a small ball center, but I don't see his upside like other people. As much as scouts say he's a great athlete he looks a little creaky to me. Plus he lays it in when he should be dunking. How can you be a top 5 pick when you're laying it in? Show me power, show me your mean streak... If he's really an elite athlete then he's holding it back on the court. Maybe he just needs that one breakout game. Monroe has a lot of tools I like in a post player, if you need a guy to build your offense around, he's the guy. Davis will never be a player like Monroe, who you can build your offense through, but if I were a team like the Nets, I'd go after Davis to pair up with Lopez. He'll be a great defender and role player. My one problem with him is that he reminds me a little too much of Tyrus Thomas and Stromile Swift. I'm really not a fan of players with crazy athleticism but who lack a feel for the game or fundamentals. A lot of people think Monroe is passive, but due to Davis being raw, I think both of them have equal chances of disappointing. Monroe could be the next Webber or the next Drew Gooden. Davis could be an amazing blend of Haslem/Marion or he could be an amazing blend of Tyrus Thomas and Swift.
  16. Eh, it sounds more like he's out for revenge (despite him refuting it in his press conference, it seems pretty obvious to me). "I guess 33 is too old now" After he said that, I thought he was kind of bitter about the trade (and rightfully so), I wouldn't be surprised if he comes into Lincoln Financial Field with a chip on his shoulder when we play Philly.
  17. We'd be lucky to get him for a second rounder, apparently Shanny is looking to stock up on draft picks since we only have 4 or so picks in this years draft. Wouldn't be surprised if we moved down in the draft just to get a third rounder in the process. There's going to be a ton of rumors in DC for sure.
  18. Wizards..when you have the biggest Wizards hater, Real Deal, saying we're a potential 50 win team, you know we're a disappointment.
  19. But at the same time if we had traded him to Philly, our defense wouldn't nearly be as good as it looks now on paper. He provides opportunities for guys like Orakpo and Fletcher to sneak past defenses and get sacks. He's valuable to the team despite what he's making per year. Doesn't really matter either because well, it is Snyder that is paying him, so I could careless.
  20. What? This is our first big name/Pro Bowl QB since uhmmmmm Joe Theisman? This is a huge deal for the Skins.
  21. If there was a clearcut franchise QB prospect I would say select him, but I don't see that player in this draft. I feel like taking Bradford or Clausen #1 would be a huge reach and similar to SF selecting Alex Smith #1 overall a few years back. The front office and I definitely did not see eye to eye here, I was under the assumption that we were going to build ourselves into a contender through the draft, we didn't go through our yearly spending spree, we didn't overpay anyone, it just seemed like we had a new perspective this year. Then here we are, bringing in a 33 year old QB who NO ONE thought would be in DC. Obviously Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen think we can make it to the playoffs, it's not a long shot here. The Giants are going no where fast, the Eagles are looking like a 7 win team (pending on how the transition to the fulltime starting QB effects Kolb), and the Cowboys are defeatable with our defense. Last year we held the Boys to a TD and a FG, no more no less. Our defense could be one of the best in the league, now we bring in a developing O-line, a pro bowl QB, a healthy receiving corps (plus a top 5 TE in Cooley), we can make the playoffs if everything goes right. Of course, this is just speculation here, I'm just bringing up all the positives here, with DC sports, anything can happen.
  22. No, clearly the management here thinks we can make it to the playoffs. In essence, it isn't a long shot, nor is this deal worth regretting. Think about it, we're a top 5 defense, we haven't lost anyone on that side of the ball, Orakpo will only get better, and this transition to the 3-4 isn't all that bad considering how versatile Brian is. On offense, we will try to build our line over the draft, hopefully we trade Campbell for a few future picks, and possibly sign a player or trade for a WR to give mcNabb a few options on offense. We also signed Parker and Johnson to help out the backfield and hopefully motivate Portis, that's a win-win. But like I said, I don't want to get my hopes up, I just have a feeling our front office is going to put us in a fair position to win this year.
  23. I'm excited, but I won't get ahead of myself like I do every year, my teams always find a way to disappoint me. I am actually okay with this move. I see the Skins moving Campbell out of town for a pick or two this year and I wouldn't be at all shocked if they still drafted a QB to learn under McNabb...instead of Campbell. McNabb is a mobile QB from a WC system, and has been at the helm of an offense that is more productive than ours on a yearly basis. Also, everybody is exaggerating the future impact of McNabb's rib injury. It is a painful injury that will heal completely. He will be absolutely fine next year with regards to the health of his ribs. Interesting move. Definitely taking a wait and see approach.
