Now you have it, LBJ with a triple double in a loss. This isn't the first time I saw this from him in his career. Not many players can say they got a triple double in a loss, LeBron is one of them. He really needs another scorer, and I don't know if Delonte is the immediate answer.
-
Yeah I hope to post at least 5 good topics a week, that's my personal goal.
-
The problem is, they still heavily rely on Mo to generate some offense when LBJ is not in the game. and he is arguably the second option within the offense due to Shaq's level of playing time.
-
Hell, I wouldn't even say Mo's built for this team's future, he's not exactly the type of player you focus on building upon.
-
What Long Haul are you referring to? A few months? Z is retiring in a matter of years, Shaq has 3 years left presumably, and their best player is not even guaranteed a new contract due to his possibly interest in another team. It doesn't take long before you become acclimated to this offense. Mike Brown is not running a stable system there, so what adapting are you talking about? Shaq has to do what he did in LA and Miami, this isn't the PHX Suns offense, where he needs to actually learn the offense, this is the offense he is built for. Moon barely gets involved in the offense, not because he's adapted to it, but because he's nothing but a defender and a slasher. Moon is in a very similar shooter, the one difference is he's seeing less and less shots. If you honestly are telling me LBJ doesn't need help, you are much too cocky about this roster. Z and Shaq are also one of the most un-athletic players in the league, and one of the oldest players in the league. They're horrible on the pick and roll, and until they learn how to play defense beyond the paint (for Z it would be playing defense in general), they will go no where against the Celtics of Magic in a seven game series.

Wow, I never heard of those rumors Kairu, but that would be huge for Cleveland. If I was Danny Ferry, I would seriously look into it, I could careless about how early it is into the season. I haven't seen much of Redd, so I can't truly comment on his game other than his three point shooting, but Rip would be a great fit. He can hit the perimeter shot, and with Shaq commanding attention in the paint, he would rack up points quickly.

It's plain and simple, LeBron still needs help. I was watching Inside the NBA with Kenny, CWebb, Charles, and Ernie last night after the Laker game, and they had just finished up watching the highlights of the Celtics-Cavs game. Everyone gave their thoughts on the game, everything I had already detected from watching Cleveland play tonight, but Charles brought up a point I never really focused on. This team is in dire need of another player who can play one on one basketball. The trade for Shaq was great, I'm already admitting my mistakes when I said that trade was overrated, I was completely wrong. He doesn't clog up the paint for LBJ, matter of fact, LBJ doesn't even need the paint now, his jumper has drastically improved. Yes, the Shaq trade did benefit the Cavs offense by bringing in a player who can create for himself, but that is only for 28-33 minutes a game. The rest of the game we're seeing 1 on 5 basketball, the Cleveland offense is completely hopeless without Bron and Shaq. Mo Williams is just horrible, he can't create off of anything, Varejao manages to make the occasional 10-15 foot jumper, but that is off a LeBron double team, and Anthony Parker is strictly a screen and roll player. Getting Delonte West may be a good sign for Cleveland, but it doesn't fill in their holes. He too, is not a one on one player. In the playoffs, this will hurt the Cavs, though LeBron will be playing at a ridiculously high level, Shaq will be fatigued, will be getting less and less minutes, and the offense will become completely stagnant whenever LBJ takes his small break. They need an experienced shooting guard who can play like an All Star when needed to, or else this team will not win a championship.

It's time people realize..

Well, to be perfectly fair, it didn't matter whether we had Antawn on the floor on defense or not today, we're playing as a group, and when you do that, you achieve more on D. haha yeah, I had a feeling someone would catch my mistake, at the time of me typing up this topic, I had thought he shot under 44% from the field (again, it's still not too bad) until I finally saw the boxscore. But I was too lazy to fix it. -

His health isn't a concern anymore, the reason I'm so hyped up about this is due to the fact that Wade came back from a more severe injury and became a better player, I just know Arenas will do the same. And it showed tonight. Anything can happen, you're right, but I prefer to stick with what has happened currently, rather than looking at all the negatives and thinking of the worst possible situation. -
First off, if anyone has any questions regarding Arenas's health, or ability to play like his former self, then GO WATCH THE GAME TAPE FROM TONIGHT. I'm tired of the critics, Arenas is out on a mission, he's playing with a huge chip on his shoulder, and he will have a monster year, mark my words. I'll be the first one to say I'm an idiot if he doesn't play at the level he played at tonight thoughout the whole year. Arenas is... - Healthy - Explosive - Better than ever - More mature - A better leader - A better passer This man was simply amazing tonight. He had a bad field goal percentage, but it wasn't horrible either. He played 39 mins, shot 10/21 from the field, dropped 9 assists, and had 29 points. Gotta love it. Secondly, our defense is good, it is not horrible. We played a very good offense tonight, we held them to 91 points, which is very admirable coming from a team who have been considered horrible the past decade. Now, Dirk did drop 34 on us, but where was Jason Kidd or Jason Terry? The Wizards are beginning to play as a unit, and that is a huge part of any great defensive team. And oh yeah, we didn't have Antawn Jamison tonight either, yet we managed to score 102 points. Not only is this the team I expected it to be, it's a team who is better than what I expected. Yes this may have been one game, but it was a statement game.

Ok, this has been bothering me for quite some time now, and I just not decided to bring it up to all of you. How do we classify a player as underrated? Now to me, I cannot say a player is underrated if he has made the All Star team the last few seasons, because it shows he is being recognized for what he has been doing on the court, and is not going by unnoticed. Players like Kevin Martin often get overlooked due to the lack of success the Kings have had, and therefore, I believe he is underrated. But a guy like Caron Butler cannot be viewed as underrated because he has made the All Star Game a few years ago, and is known as a top SF in the league.

Feeling of fulfillment after studying or doing an exam

I'm never satisfied until I see my test grade. If I receive a test mark in which I aimed for, I feel a sense of fulfillment. -

Who's better in the clutch?

I agree 100% with you, but it's the fact that people still believe he has a loud mouth which pisses me off. You have to realize Arenas is a changed man with a chip on his shoulder, and if he plays like he has been in the pre season, then everyone will notice it. His playing style right now, is very similar to what Kobe does almost on a constant basis. He passes and gets his teammates involved in the first half, and attacks and gets his points in the second half. That's how a star should play, and I think Arenas realizes it. It's only a matter of 2 weeks before he proves it. I'm not guaranteeing anything, because I cannot predict the future, but I have a feeling he will prove the critics wrong.

Gilbert Arenas Injures Finger
AboveLegit replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
It probably won't fully heal, he probably will have to deal with this throughout this season. I think I recall Kobe having the same issue on his shooting hand, but I don't think it effected his game. -
This movie is crazy, it's one of my favorite scary movies, right up there with Exorcist.

Well at this point in time, Nick still has a lot to learn on the defensive end. He'd make our back court almost non existent on defense if Arenas doesn't improve. Mike is the best choice, he's big enough to cover the taller guards, and gives us an advantage on smaller 2 guards. Nick has good size for a SG, just lacks the talent on defense. Not to mention he is very inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball.
-
Everything's up in the air right now. Foye and Arenas can co exist, but the backcourt would be extremely small, much to the dislike of Flip Saunders. Mike may not be as talented nor as explosive as Foye (he really never was to be honest, he's just a shooter), but he gives us that experience, spreads the floor, and the length in the back court.
