Which team is in the deepest hole?
AboveLegit replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in General NBA Discussion
Toronto Raptors are in a hole, if they are unable to extend Bosh, I really cannot see any perrinial All Star signing with them in 2010, mainly due to their market and overall roster. They aren't even the favorites to make the playoffs this year, things will only get worse if Bosh walks. -
It's a toss up, for me it comes down to experience and defense, I'm taking the Spurs as they beat the Magic in 7. Both teams have definitely benefited from their respective trades this past week, making them instant contenders and favorites this year. But I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Lakers repeat. The Celtics can't win unless they add another piece to the big 3.

The trade for Washington will give them the biggest turnaround next year, however the Spurs trade makes them a legit contender. This is a huge deal, and on the way home I couldn’t help but shake my head at the headline on the radio. “Does this put the Spurs back in title contention?” When did they fall out? Remember that first Sunday after the Super Bowl this year, and it was the Spurs @ Celtics and the Lakers @ Cavs and everyone was saying these are the 4 teams with the chance to win the title? It was true, those were the top 4 teams, and would have been going into the post season had it not been for injuries to the Celts and Spurs. It is just that most people have so much hate for the Spurs that they just want to prematurely bury them and call them old. Please realize Duncan just turned 33, Manu is going to be 32 next year, and Parker is 27, they are not old. What you saw in Duncan at the end of the year was an injury caused by poor decision making from Pop on managing his minutes this season. He is still the best post player in the game. But back on topic More so than the offense, I think Jefferson is an upgrade defensively. The west has bigger wing players that Bowen couldn’t defend. Players like Kobe, Roy, Anthony, Durant, Artest, and Ill include Dirk as well. These are players, along with Lebron in the East that the Spurs just didn’t have an answer for defensively. Now Jefferson can check those players better and slow them down because he is 20 + pounds heavier than Bowen. This is great news for Spurs fans, and definitely puts the them as one of the favorites for the 2010 title.

Yeah I too like this skin, a nice simple design to it, and it looks professional. Keep this in the skin selector, although I will eventually switch over to the one RD makes later on.

I hate being at work with nothing to do I'm doing volunteer work at a Hospital, it's my first day, but my manager isn't here to show me around, so I'm in the library on the computer... I could be at home sleeping

Maryland has been what it always is in the summer, upper 80's, low 90's on some days.

Big Baby Hopes To Return To Celtics
AboveLegit replied to The Goods's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
This would be huge, signing Big Baby to a large contract, getting him out of Free Agency early in the off season, preventing any team from making an offer for him. If they can lock him up along with Powe, and keep Rondo out of useless trade rumors, they won't be in a huge hole after the Big 3 retire. -
OTR is much better off on it's own. We didn't need it the past 4 years, we don't need it now.

If you watched Gil's first two games coming off his injury, he is attempting to make the transition to a more pass first SG. And in Flip Saunder's offense, I'm sure he will only keep that up. Mike will start mainly due to the lack of size if Foye and Gil were to start.

RIP Michael Jackson, 1958-2009
AboveLegit replied to Real Deal's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
R.I.P. to the greatest musician/entertainer of all time. It's a shame we couldn't witness his last concert which was supposed to happen a week or two from now. -
The Wizards have a chance to be a 4th seed, maybe the 3rd seed depending on the injury problems with the Celtics.

I went back to my old name.

Agreed, you should rest B. We just gotta get back to posting, that's all.

Not really, Mike gives us more length alongside Gil in the back court. Having Foye come off the bench will be very similar to Gordon coming off the bench for the Bulls. Having Foye and Gil in the backcourt will have it's issues throughout the year.

How will the line up of Arenas/Miller/Butler/Jamison/Haywood with Foye coming off the bench fair this upcoming season? How well will they play as a unit under Flip Saunder's offense? Do you see Mike Miller being traded before the season starts in order to obtain a big man?

I'm just glad OTR is still alive. Nothing will break us apart.
