  1. Here's the call for anyone that missed it.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1tokHtcvZo&feature=player_embedded
  2. Terrible call by the refs, but either way, the Cardinals defense is terrible. They give Eli all the time in the world to throw..
  3. Never have I been more upset over a win, but after seeing the Cowboys and Eagles choke their games away, I'm pretty content. We enter the bye week 3-1, and really should be undefeated. That three headed monster we have at running back is awesome, I hope nothing changes in terms of who's starting. We should start eery game with Hightower, and casually bring in Helu and Torain into the mix. Whoever has the hot hand gets the nod in the second hand, it's the way a Mike Shanahan team should be ran. Rex had another terrible game. He hasn't made a great throw in two weeks, he's making terrible reads, and the sad thing is, our line has been doing very good in pass protection. There's just no excuse for his play other than the fact that he's Rex [expletive]ing Grossman. The D was lights our for 3.5 quarters, everything just fell apart at the end. The secondary is somewhat suspect, but I'll take it. Kerrigan and Orakpo are consistently making plays on the QB, great to see.
  4. I don't read much into all this simply because we have not seen what Drummond can do yet at the college level. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Perry Jones hyped up to be the next big thing in college? More interested in seeing what they have to say about Barnes though.
  5. I've always had this hidden sense of optimism regarding the lockout, not sure why, but I want to believe there will be a season.. Having said that though, I think the players will cave, after reading all these tweets, it seems quite clear that the owners are waiting till the players lose a lot of these paychecks, they are set on having the BRI go in their favor. The proposals these owners are making are untenable because there is no consensus amongst them on a realistic way of moving forward.
  6. http://twitter.com/#!/briancmahoney/status/120260026811154432 So for 7 hours, all you talk about is the cap system, and you can't even get that done? My God, they didn't even discuss BRI...
  7. http://twitter.com/#!/NYPost_Berman/status/120257093788897280 Pathetic. At this rate, there's no way we have a season. Nearly 8 hours of meeting, and you can't get anything significant done? Wow.
  8. 8 hours so far in the meeting today, and it's still going on... If something substantially positive doesn't come out of this, I will lose all faith in an NBA season.

  10. I'm calling a bluff here. Stern is using this to move negotiations further.
  11. Just got this game today, played two games, and lost both. -_- Definitely going to take a while before I take my talents to xbox live.
  12. - David Stern http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/32128/david-sterns-scary-talk
  13. He showed flashes of greatness every year leading up to 2007, the '06 season in particular was very up and down for him. He made some great plays here and there, but there were a lot of plays where he just gets burned. That 2007 season was one of the greatest seasons I've seen from a defender. He was covering more field than any player I've ever seen. I'll always remember that Green Bay game, the plays he was making during that game put me in awe. I still think about what a Landry/Taylor safety tandem would be like today. His transformation as a human being and player is very similar to what Vick went through last year. He finally put all his talent together in '07, dedicating himself to film study, proper offseason training, and maturing into a professional after his daughter was born. He was matching his natural instincts and physical gifts with his off the field homework. His coaches, teammates, and himself even admitted that. He was a rare talent, had great size but still could cover #1 receivers. I remember London Fletcher saying Taylor came to him during a game in OT and was pumped that they got out to stay there and keep playing. His love for the game was off the charts. He made a ton of huge plays, like the Philly and TB fumble returns in '05, the stop on 4th down and the pick in Carolina to seal the game, the FG block return against Dallas in '06, etc. Just so many memories. He was definitely top 3 along with Ed and Troy, he played on teams with terrible offenses and questionable defenses, but still shined. It sucks that his career ended just as he tapped into his potential, this seemingly unlimited ceiling could have turned into a Hall of Fame career. He had finally taken the step from a very good player, to a truly elite player, and it was over before we could truly witness it. No doubt in my mind he'd be up there with Reed and Polomalu...no doubt.
  14. You get to pick one QB to lead your team for one full season. Who do you pick? There's a lot of flaws in each QB, so choose wisely.
  15. Well at least it's something in terms of progress... But as Woj noted, the proposal is only a slight upgrade that's unlikely to move the union. It also has nothing to do with BRI, which happens to be the most pressing issue with the lockout.
  16. In the Landry hit, the player touched the ball, and Landry had a good hit on him. With the Moss catch, as soon as he turned up field, he got hit, which was what caused the penalty. At that point, he was a defenseless receiver. This is not my logic, this is what I heard the MNF crew saying during the game. That's the most sense I can make out of it.
  17. John Wall has participated in nearly every basketball event this summer, gotta love his work ethic.
  18. Ah good point, but I still don't see how Rudy Gay is rated so high... or Arenas for that matter. Oh well, ratings can't always be perfect, I'm more interested to see the rookies ratings when they come out. Still debating whether I should get this or Fifa.
  19. In a thread like this, you gotta factor in longevity. One year just isn't enough, unless he has a historic season that results in a championship.
  20. Dirk as an 85? Rudy Gay ranks higher than him? Is this life?
  21. After that touchdown, we ran a total of 11 passes and 2 runs.... It's ironic how on that TD drive, we ran the ball 5 times, and passed 4. We're a run team for [expletive]s sake, stick to the game plan. Kyle Shanahan is one strange man.
  22. Yeah it's just upsetting losing a game like this given the circumstances. Romo beat us completely by himself. He orchestrated every drive, and did so with a lot of poise. That 3rd and 21 was killer, I'm not going to put all the blame on Hall there, but man did he get burned there. I don't expect to hear any trash talk from him for a while.. (I hope). It's onto St. Louis next week, I expect a huge performance from this team, the offense really needs to make a statement. Thing is, we won't win this division if we lose games we're supposed to win, especially with the December schedule we have.
  23. This is not on Rex, but I'll guarantee everyone will laugh at him for this. This was a game we should have easily won, no doubt about it, and it kind of does make me more confident that we're one of the better teams in the division. If Sav Rocca doesn't fumble the snap on the FG try, we win. If Haslett was smart enough to not call an all out blitz on 3rd and 21 (at least have a safety back there to help), we win. If Kyle Shanahan, who for the second week decides to stray away from the run after gaining the lead in the fourth, calls better plays, we win. This was just pathetic, I'm just really pissed right now. We had a chance to take control of this division, and we [expletive]ing blew it.
  24. Dallas is also pretty fortunate Romo hasn't been getting hit as much though. Haslett is bringing the pressure, but Romo is getting it out of his hands pretty quickly.
