DeAngelo Hall Plans To Target Romo's Ribs
AboveLegit replied to ChosenOne's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
And one 4-pick game http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcsportsbog/dhallbears1010a.jpg -
This is what was expected from the lockout, we were going to miss training camps and preseason games, but reading the last part was concerning. Currently, the players get about 57% BRI, and have offered to cut it down to 54%. While they may settle for cutting it down a little more, it is highly unlikely that they agree to cut it down to "a figure well below 50%." This just sucks, the idea of losing a full season is becoming reality now.... Oh yeah, happy birthday David Stern.. <_< http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7005394/nba-annouce-postponement-traning-camp-exhibition-games-sources-say

DeAngelo Hall Plans To Target Romo's Ribs
AboveLegit replied to ChosenOne's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
Lol Fish, Hall is far from overrated. The guy has been great for us, he's one of the better tacklers at his position, he's a playmaker, and his coverage is very solid (although he has a lot of problems covering bigger receivers, but that's understandable). As a Skins fan, I love hearing this. -
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-cowboys-injuries DeAngelo <3 But seriously, just don't get burned by Dez all night, that will really upset me. He did do a solid job on Fitz last week though. I know the statline doesn't show it, but before that 70+yard TD in the fourth, Hall was keeping him in check.

Dallas Cowboys 2011-12 Season Thread

Lol seriously, he's always been a monster, but Rob has really elevated his game to a new level. I'm basically terrified of seeing him rip apart our offensive line. -
If there was no NBA season what would you watch?

I'll probably just watch more Hockey... and football. -
Dallas Cowboys 2011-12 Season Thread
AboveLegit replied to fish7718's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
Lol I still expect it to be a close game, and wouldn't be surprised at all if you all come out on top. It's our first time seeing this new defense with Rob Ryan, Demarcus Ware is going to eat up Trent Williams. I have no faith in him right now, he got dominated by Jason Pierre Paul when we played the Giants Week 1, and hasn't fared well against elite pass rushers. It's also your home opener, so that's probably going to play a role in this game. If we're able to pull out the W, I'll be extremely impressed. -
Here's an idea I got off of Bill Simmons book, The Book of Basketball. In one of the chapters, he constructs a team consisted of individual seasons of players in order to make the greatest team. He doesn't just take the 12 greatest players or seasons ever, he assembles a team that compliments each other in style, personality, and talent. He broke everything down, he didn't just take Magic Johnson, he wanted a particular Magic. He could have chosen from the '82 Magic that could play every position, or the '87 Magic which many considered to be the year in which he peaked as a leader. Let's do the same thing here. We'll have a thread dedicated to each position, we can discuss/debate which player deserves to be voted in, and if this idea is a success, we can continue this with the backups. Here are the 10 nominees for the starting PG position: 1. 1982 Magic Johnson Regular Season: 18.6 PPG, 9.5 APG, 9.6 RPG, 2.7 SPG, 53.7 FG%, 76.0 FT%, 78 Games, 57-25 Postseason: 17.4 PPG, 9.3 APG, 11.3 RPG, 2.9 SPG, 52.9 FG%, 82.8 FT%, 14 Games, NBA Title, Finals MVP 2. 1985 Magic Johnson Regular Season: 18.3 PPG, 12.6 APG, 6.2 RPG, 1.5 SPG, 56.1 FG%, 84.3 FT%, 77 Games, 62-20, MVP Runner-Up Postseason: 17.5 PPG, 15.2 APG, 7.1 RPG, 1.7 SPG, 51.3 FG%, 84.7 FT%, 19 Games, NBA Title 3. 1987 Magic Johnson Regular Season: 23.9 PPG, 12.2 APG, 6.3 RPG, 1.7 SPG, 52.2 FG%, 84.8 FT%, 80 Games, 65-17, League MVP Postseason: 21.8 PPG, 12.2 APG, 7.7 RPG, 1.7 SPG, 53.9 FG%, 83.1 FT%, 18 Games, NBA Title, Finals MVP 4. 2008 Chris Paul Regular Season: 21.1 PPG, 11.6 APG, 4.0 RPG, 2.7 SPG, 48.8/36.9/85.1%, 80 Games, 56-26, MVP Runner-Up Postseason: 24.1 PPG, 11.3 APG, 4.9 RPG, 2.3 SPG, 50.2 FG%, 78.5 FT%, 12 Games, Lost in 2nd Round 5. 2009 Chris Paul Regular Season: 22.8 PPG, 11.0 APG, 5.5 RPG, 2.8 SPG, 50.3/36.4/86.8%, 78 Games, 49-33 Postseason: 16.6 PPG, 10.4 APG, 4.4 RPG, 1.6 SPG, 41.1/31.3/85.7%, 5 Games, Lost in 1st Round 6. 1990 Isiah Thomas Regular Season: 18.4 PPG, 9.4 APG, 3.8 RPG, 1.7 SPG, 43.8 FG%, 77.5 FT%, 81 Games, 59-23 Postseason: 20.5 PPG, 8.2 APG, 5.5 RPG, 2.2 SPG, 46.3/47.1/79.4%, 20 Games, NBA Title, Finals MVP 7. 2006 Steve Nash Regular Season: 18.8 PPG, 10.5 APG, 4.2 RPG, 51.2/43.9/92.1%, 79 Games, 54-28, League MVP Postseason: 20.4 PPG, 10.2 APG, 3.7 RPG, 1.9 SPG, 50.2/36.8/91.2%, 20 Games, Lost in Conference Finals 8. 2002 Jason Kidd Regular Season: 14.7 PPG, 9.9 APG, 7.3 RPG, 2.1 SPG, 39.1/32.1/81.4%, 82 Games, 52-30, MVP Runner-Up Postseason: 19.6 PPG, 9.1 APG, 8.2 RPG, 1.7 SPG, 41.5/18.9/80.8%, 20 Games, Lost in Finals 9. 1990 John Stockton Regular Season: 17.2 PPG, 14.5 APG, 2.6 RPG, 51/42/82%, 78 Games, 55-27 Postseason: 15.0 PPG, 15.0 APG, 3.2 RPG, 42/39/80%, 5 Games, Lost in 1st Round 10. 1964 Oscar Robertson Regular Season: 31.4 PPG, 11.0 APG, 9.9 RPG, 48.3 FG%, 85.3 FT%, 79 Games, 55-25, League MVP Postseason: 29.3 PPG, 8.4 APG, 8.9 RPG, 45.5 FG%, 85.8 FT%, 10 Games, Lost in Conference Finals

Dallas Cowboys 2011-12 Season Thread

Can't wait till Monday fishy -
Haven't seen a lot of Jonas, but from what I've been reading, it does seem like he has the most room to grow. However, that doesn't necessarily mean he will be the best player in his class. I've been very high on Derrick Williams, I think he's going to be a stud, he has the skillset and the prototypical size of a wing player to make it as a star in this league. And BFT, is the comparison of Jonas to Joakim Noah accurate based on what you have seen of him? Can't remember where I read it (I think it was Draft Express).
-
Sorry I'm late, but I still sent the DL link to the people that asked for it. After listening to it last night for the first time, I gave this album a solid 8/10. Gotta run through it one more time though.

Nah I didn't forget about them... or John Stockton. CP3 is just the better talent. Steve Nash shouldn't even be in this discussion, he's been in one system for the majority of his career. And based off talent alone, I think CP3 has the advantage over Kidd. Obviously Kidd had the better career, but CP3's production (Never having a season below 22 PER) is amazing. His 2008-09 season where he had a 30 PER was one of the greatest single seasons by a PG. Just this past playoffs alone does it for me. He outplayed Kobe for the series, and Hornets relied on him to do everything. That's basically what he's been dealing with in New Orleans his entire career, his best teammate has been David West..
-
In my opinion, Chris Paul is the best PG in the NBA since Zeke.

Who are the top five Heat of all time?
AboveLegit replied to Real Deal's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Other than Wade, I don't see how you all can put Shaq or LeBron (lol...) over Zo. That is crazy. He had some amazing years with the Heat, even with all those injuries. One year with LeBron isn't enough. -
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/17/report-kendrick-perkins-was-kind-of-a-jerk-to-russell-westbrook/ While I agree that Westbrook does need to stop shooting so much and start playmaking more, Perkins should probably tone down the criticism because his play was nothing to brag about. Harden did a lot of the playmaking during the playoffs, that's not going to cut it, they need Westbrook to step up his play.

Yeah, I hate his guts, but gotta give him props here.
-
Yeah good point, but overall though, for a player making the transition to linebacker, it's impressive what he's been able to do. His coverage skills need a lot of work, but he's definitely ahead of schedule.
-
He's basically an exact clone of Orakpo. Has a great motor, great instincts, and his pass rushing ability is incredible. He's getting better in coverage too, he had the pick 6 last week, and this week he had a tipped pass which resulted in a London Fletcher interception and had two sacks (but I think was only credited for one). I can't wait to see this defense with LaRon Landry though, hopefully he's back for the Dallas game. He brings our defense to a whole new level. You'll see Kerrigan next Monday.

Lol that was a mistake, I'll just go ahead and say the next decade.

Lmao Baltimore..
