  1. Jamal Crawford. The Bulls need a 2 that can come in right away and be the starter. He needs to be able to create his own shot, he can't be another spot up shooter or a guy who just moves well off the ball. They don't even need a good defender (their schemes are good enough to hide Jamal's weaknesses), they need someone who can take his man one on one, and help Rose close out games.
  2. Gordon came along toward the end of the season, I'd look to ship Andrei out in order for the younger guys to develop.
  3. Because when he did play, he was amazing. Brandon Knight is a less talented version of Gilbert Arenas, he won't be able to score like Gil did, and he's not a great passer. Kyrie was one of the more efficient players in the NCAA, he's extremely smart, has great range on his shot, and his court vision is above average.... all of which will translate to the NBA.
  4. Doubtful, but I still firmly believe he's the second best PG in this draft, and will have a good amount of success in this league. Future All Star? Possibly.
  5. Garnett and Ray are both on expriring contracts worth up to $10 million+.
  6. Brandon Knight is not near the prospect Kyrie is. There are way more opportunities to get a SF/PF in next years draft, not many PG's that measure up to Kyrie's potential.
  7. KG has hinted at retirement if the lockout continues throughout the regular season, and Ray, while he's in incredible shape, age will eventually catch up with him, and he won't have the same lift on his jump shot. Danny wants to start a new era in Boston, it's seems imminent considering the deal he made at the trade deadline, so unless KG and Ray come back to Boston on a vet minimum deals, I don't see them being apart of the future in Boston. As for Pierce, he's basically untradeable, there's no way he gets traded away. He's a franchise icon, and will end his career in Boston without a doubt. I fully expect them to run it back, build around the core, and then worry about the big three's future when their contracts are up. If the MLE exists, they could make offers to Caron Butler or Jamal Crawford, and with the help of some luck (no major injuries during their playoff run), they may be able to get back to the Finals... who knows. I have a feeling Ainge as well as Doc still believe they can beat the Heat. The last two games they were leading going into the last 6 mins of the game and lost it because their starters had to over compensate for the injured Rondo. A fit Rondo, and who knows what happens (remember, I said it all season long, if Rondo controls the pace of the game, the Celtics will win). So to put it simple, make another run, and then rebuild after next season.
  8. Looks nice, and yeah it's probably best to keep the banner the way it is.
  9. Kyrie Irving is easily the pick here. Building around elite PG prospects is becoming the new fad in the league.
  10. Not really, like I said it's not really a huge deal, but if it were up to me I'd go with the white colored one (looks better IMO). http://www.underconsideration.com/brandnew/archives/wizards_alt_logo_hand.gif
  11. They should try and trade Granger for a legitimate post option, I really don't see Hansborough being that starting PF down the road. Maybe go for Al Jefferson, seems like a logical deal for both sides. Psycho T is best suited for the 6th man position, he'd make the bench very strong and would give them a good scoring option. Then they should try and sign a player such as Wilson Chandler. Imagine a defense with both Paul George and Chandler on the perimeter, not to mention they also spread the floor with their three point shooting.
  12. Yeah I know, but it's not the primary logo. This one is: http://dcist.com/upload/2011/05/2011_0510_wizardslogo.png
  13. Love the Wizards one, well done RD. You're using the outdated logo, but I think it looks better with this one rather than using the newer version.
  14. That would suck for players, there would be a ton of back to back games. But as a fan, it's better than not having a season at all.
  15. lol that wasnt me that was Guru. OPEN DEM EYES K-ROC

  16. Anyone within the organization (coaches, GM's, etc).
  17. Time to watch more baseball. -_- Might as well convert OTR into a baseball forum.
  18. http://twitter.com/#!/KBerg_CBS/status/86511902804545537 Luckily the union won't decertify like the NFL did, so hopefully they can still come to a mutual agreement. How long do you think this lasts? My guess is over 100 days, the NFL is around that mark now, and considering the amount of teams losing money, I can see this one lasting longer.
  19. He's too ball dominant, my expectations aren't as high as others. It's going to take a while for him to get used to his role, he won't be isolating on every play, he'll have to adapt to playing alongside a great PG like Deron. He desperately needs to work on playing off the ball if he wants to be a productive starter in this league.
  20. I swear, even under a new GM, this Cavs team lacks any sense of direction. Just last year under Danny Ferry, they thought Hickson was going to be a key piece of their franchise, and decided to reject the Amare deal (which probably would have convinced LBJ to stay). I know they have Tristian now, but it's no reason to just give up Hickson for nothing, I'm sure they could have gotten more. Casspi is a cry baby, he complains about playing time, he doesn't play defense, and he does nothing outstanding on offense. Kings definitely won this trade. After Varejao went down, Hickson was averaging close to 14ppg and 9rpg. You just don't give that type of potential up for a bench player like Casspi.

  22. Agreed, and if he pans out correctly, the thought of having McGee and Vesely on defense is very enticing. Both of them have the potential to be great shot blockers. Yeah I'm not too worried about that to be honest. Ernie Grunfeld stated that he's been scouting him for 2 years now, and they absolutely wanted him with this 6th pick, so I'm confident they will utilize him correctly.

  24. I've been reading a lot about him, and the more I read, the more I'm convinced that this was a solid pick. Let's face it, the Wizards have a ton of high usage players like Crawford, Young, Blatche, and even Wall, so it's nice to bring in a guy that knows how to stay effective off the ball. He's not your prototypical Euro coming into the league, he's not soft at all, and he's a very intense player. Despite what people say, his jumper is not broken, he has good mechanics on his shot, and to his credit, he didn't have many plays ran for him at Partizan. He was utilized in that offense as a cutter, and was their biggest threat on the fast break. Rarely did you see plays ran for him to get him open shots, so the only way to prove people wrong, he'll just have to practice. Many people also criticize his lack of effort on rebounds, but again, to his credit, because he's such a freak of an athlete, the coach designed his defensive schemes to allow him to leak out for fastbreaks whenever the opportunity presented itself. So despite what his rebounding numbers this past year indicates, I don't think he'll be as bad when he plays for us. I think he'll struggle with defense the most in his first year, but I think over time, he'll get adjusted to the NBA playing style. He has the physical tools to be great alongside the perimeter, he'll just have to put on some weight if he plans on being a good post defender. This will be a big year for Flip and his coaching staff. They need to coach Vesely a lot, he needs to improve his ball handling and shooting, but luckily he's a gym rat and has a high basketball IQ, two things that should accelerate his development as a player.
  25. Wizards: B Not a huge fan of Vesely, but I do like the idea of him running the break with Wall. I think it will be a huge part of our offense, we certainly have 4 guys in the starting line up that are tremendous athletes. I also like what he can do for us on defense, he gives us the length we need to help our JaVale. Singleton to me, is one of the “sure fire” picks in this draft. I don’t think anyone is upset with it. In a division with LeBron and Wade for the next 5-6 years, we need that wing defender. Hopefully both Vesely and Singleton emerge as our defensive stoppers. They have great lateral quickness to do so. Mack is a solid pick. He’s a high character guy, knows what it takes to win, and gives us a good shooter on the perimeter. If we had improved our rebounding, I’d be much more happier.
