But I wouldn't only focus on those two (Smith and Mack). I'm almost positive, based on reports, that Chicago will take Nolan Smith with one of their two picks in the first round. Then I can also see Mack going to New Jersey with their first round pick. Miami should take a look at Jordan Williams, he fits one of your needs, and could develop into a serviceable big man off the bench (can't see him being a starter due to his size).

I'd take Chalmers over Smith to be honest, while Nolan is probably the better offensive player (because he understands how to control the game with the ball in his hands), Mario is a much better defender. If Shelvin Mack falls to Miami, I would highly suggest taking him. He's a true leader and has championship experience (two straight NCAA Finals appearances). He's a great shooter, controls the pace of the game much like Nolan, and plays smart. He's not a pure PG by any means, but you don't really need one with Bron and Wade having the ball in their hands. He can spot up, and while he isn't a great athlete, he's very strong for a player his size so he can take it to the rack. I've seen a lot of Reggie Jackson, and I wouldn't take him if I'm Pat Riley. He just doesn't fit your team, he's not a great spot up shooter, he needs the ball to be effective, and is a below average defender (can't count the number of times he got burned by Vasquez or even Stoglin when BC played UMD). If not a PG, go for a big man like Jordan Williams. He's not a great back to the basket player, but he has room to improve. He will immediately step into the rotation and make a difference on the boards, so that's definitely something to look out for. Best part about him is that he has always played in a rather uptempo offense, and has thrived under Gary Williams' system. He's a smart player, has great footwork, and catches everything in the paint.

1. The Departed 2. One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest 3. Chinatown 4. A Few Good Men 5. The Shining I would put The Shining higher on my list, but it's a little too creepy for my taste. Still a great movie however.

If Biyombo is there, they gotta take him. They have plethora of offensive minded players, they need someone like Biyombo who bring energy on the defensive end as well as rebounding and and toughness in the paint.

Meh, I wouldn't give up on Bogut if I were Milwaukee, I'd focus more on dealing away Jennings. Having an undersized 2 guard as your PG and a tweener at PF can't be good for your defense. But if this were to happen, I'd look into adding Maggette or Salmons to the deal to free up some cap space. Great deal for Minnesota btw.

Cavs looking to take Williams #1? Irving to Wolves?

Flynn and Irving are two different players, Rubio and Kyrie would not work out together. Which is why you draft the player, and then shop him. -
Cavs looking to take Williams #1? Irving to Wolves?
AboveLegit replied to AboveLegit's topic in NBA Draft History
The thing that worries me is his turnovers, I think that's going to be a major problem for him early in the season (like John Wall). While Rubio did put up decent numbers in an offense where he didn't fit in, do you really want him to feel uncomfortable as a potential franchise player? Everyone knows he needs the ball in his hands, he doesn't have the shot to play off the ball, it's like asking Rondo to play shooting guard. You bring Rubio in with the intention of him being your ball distributor, not to share minutes at the PG position with another elite PG prospect. Which is why they're fielding offers for the #2 pick. Move down in the draft and select a guy like Biyombo, or bring in a guy like Gasol via trade. -
I've read on twitter that Klay is seriously being considered at 10 to Golden State, so it doesn't surprise me that he was invited. But Singleton does surprise me, I don't see him going in the lottery.

G.S. offer for Dwight Howard
AboveLegit replied to The Regime's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
Bynum could be a great player, but I wouldn't count on him being a franchise player. Noah and Deng still have room to grow, and if they rebuild properly and succeed in future drafts, they could be in a great position to contend. What would that roster accomplish? A first round appearance in the playoffs? Fact is, taking into consideration how great of a player Dwight is, you trade him for players you absolutely are comfortable with. Bynum has health concerns and Lamar has maybe 2-3 good years left. -
Cavs looking to take Williams #1? Irving to Wolves?

I criticize Kyrie a lot, but there's no doubt that it's better for a team like Cleveland to build around a PG (given the amount of great young PG's in the league). He could end up being a nightmare to defend given his playmaking ability and shot. Not to mention, the crop of forwards next year makes the decision to draft Kyrie that much easier. -

I'm not sure how two ball dominant point guards in the backcourt can work. Minnesota is not in the position Cleveland is in in terms of taking the BPA, they have to go with what fits, which is why there's a ton of skepticism among drafting Williams. -

G.S. offer for Dwight Howard
AboveLegit replied to The Regime's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
Bynum has questionable health, and I see no reason to trade for Odom. Orlando needs to realize they won't be contending for the next few years. If the CBA works out and they are given an amnesty clause, it would help their rebuilding process greatly. Noah and Deng is easily the better package. Both are younger, are great defenders and borderline all stars. I don't understand how the Lakers can offer the better package. -
Cavs looking to take Williams #1? Irving to Wolves?
AboveLegit replied to AboveLegit's topic in NBA Draft History
Yeah I'd still trade the pick if I was them, but if they get legit value for Irving, then they might as well take him for the time being (If I was the Lakers, I'd definitely look into calling Kahn up). As for Utah, I think they should take a look at Kemba. I know he's known as a scorer, but he has better PG instincts than Knight does, he has a better idea of how to run an offense. Jefferson and Milsap need a guy capable of running pick n rolls to get them the ball, they don't need a score first PG in Knight who has an inconsistent jumpshot. -
G.S. offer for Dwight Howard
AboveLegit replied to The Regime's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
I highly doubt Orlando wants another bad contract, Boozer is on the books for another 5 years, and is making 14+ million each year. If they're dealing away Howard, they will probably want a good young talent in return such as Deng. And Chicago should look to deal Boozer for a good SG, not sure how many teams would want him, but it's worth a try. -
Cavs looking to take Williams #1? Irving to Wolves?

For both. Precisely why I think it's stupid for the Cavs. As for Minnesota, just give Rubio a chance and see how it goes. He has a ton of potential, and if utilized correctly, he will shine (or at least I think he will). -

G.S. offer for Dwight Howard

They gotta do whatever it takes to get Dwight. The idea of pairing him up with Rose should be enough to convince their front office to part ways with Deng and Noah. -

First rounder means nothing. I think the Bulls can make a better offer personally. -
Wizards don't want to move McGee for #2 pick?
AboveLegit replied to Dash's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
It was turned down for two reasons: 1. Doesn't fit Ted's plan of rebuilding, he likes his core guys. 2. The offer was Mcgee+#6 for the #2 pick, which understandably was declined. I see a player who will always give you glimpses of an all star talent, but will always leave you wanting more. Very similar to Blatche's situation a year ago before we extended him, we had a chance to move him, he didn't progress, and has no value to other teams. But who knows, maybe it's a smoke screen... after all Ted Leonsis did deny reports of Gilbert being traded. -
Finals GM6: Dallas at Miami (DAL 3-2)
AboveLegit replied to Real Deal's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
For what it's worth, I was rooting for the Heat in 2006 (mainly because I wanted Shaq to win another ring).. Dallas clearly had the better team going into the series, but Miami won due to the officiating. If you seriously are doubting this, I advise you to watch all 6 games over again. Miami was a one man show that series, and had Wade not been bailed out every time he went to the basket in games 5 and 6, they would have lost to Dallas. The sad thing is, we still see it from him and LeBron today. They put their head down, drive to the basket, and wait for the whistle to be blown. Basketball is a team game. In games 1 and 2, Wade averaged 12 FTA's, and Dallas won both. The rest of the series, Wade had averaged 18 FTA's, and Miami won all of them. Coincidence? Series was tied 2-2 going into game 5, Dallas led 100-99 with under 10 seconds left in OT. Wade drove into the paint, went up for a shot, and wasn't even touched, but the whistle blew. He makes both FT's, and Miami wins the game. Had their not been a foul, Dallas grabs the rebound, and from then on, they make their FT's, and secure the victory going up 3-2 in the series, and go home for games 6 and 7. Miami needed to win back to back games in Dallas, where they had lost both games by double digits in the preview 2 games. If Miami loses game 5, they lose the series, no questions asked. Let's put Wade's Finals into perspective. For Jordan's postseason career, 179 games, he shot 1766 FT's which is 9.8 per game. The highest single postseason total in his career was 229 FTA's in 17 games back in 1989, 13.4 FT's per game. Wade in the 2006 Finals had 97 FTA's in 6 games, which is 16.2 FT's per game. Not even the greatest player ever had that type of treatment from the refs. NEVER. No you can't. -
Finals GM6: Dallas at Miami (DAL 3-2)

I hardly ever hate on teams just for the hell of it, but the '06 Finals were definitely rigged or the refs simply cared for the Heat more in that series. There's absolutely no justification for that series. -
