BFT, I actually agree with you, but McHale had some outstanding seasons. He shot 60% from the field twice in a row, was apart of three all defensive first teams, and was a great offensive rebounder. What's even more impressive is that his numbers are actually better in the postseason than in the regular season.

Good point, I wasn't advocating placing Hayes or Petit in the top 5, I just wanted to know where they rank. My major knock on Hayes is the same I have for Wilt, the inability to come up big in the clutch. He was a great talent (again, like Wilt), but lacked consistency when it came to clutch play, but to his credit, he did come up big on the back end of his career by having a good run in the postseason (albeit, fouling out in game 7 of the Finals - major choke), and coming up with a great postseason the following season. All of this coming after all the ridiculous amount of minutes he played. My list: 1. Duncan 2. Malone 3. Garnett 4. Barkley 5. McHale 6. Dirk 7. Hayes 8. Rodman 9. Pettit 10. DeBusschere

There's a thread about LeBron's legacy, so why not have one for the Finals MVP? He becomes only the 4th player since 1952 to be the only All Star on his team to beat a team with 3 All Stars in the Finals. The other three were Hakeem Olajuwon in 1994, Isiah Thomas in 1989, and Rick Barry in 1975. How far do you see him climbing up the list of greatest players? Where would you rank him currently? Top 20? Top 30? He's definitely a hall of famer, but I think given his list of accomplishments, he has a chance to really solidify himself as one of the greats as he nears the end of his career. He was already a top 10 PF ever before the season started, but do you think he's nearing the top 5 if he's able to pull off a couple of more historic seasons?

Congrats Mavs fans! Definitely happy to see Dirk, Kidd, and the three ex-Wizards win it.

I just can't wrap my head around the comparison regarding Bron and Wilt... two completely different situations. For one, no great player ever had that big of a gap in competition along with all the rules in their favor like Wilt, except Russell, but to Bill's credit, he is the greatest winner in sports. Not only do I believe when it's all said and done, Bron is higher on the greatest ever list, but overall he's just a better talent. It's probably the reason why I don't view Wilt as a top 5 player ever like most do. I can't really make a definitive list, but I may even put Shaq above him.

Will Cleveland celebrate Miami's loss?

Real question is, who cares? It wouldn't surprise anyone, they're still butt-hurt about what happened last summer.. -

I highly doubt Dirk shoots this bad for another 24 minutes...I think when he went out of the game with those 2 fouls, he completely lost his rhythm. Miami's weakside rotations during their huge run was excellent, but they were pretty bad to end the half and when Dallas went on their run. If you're a Mavs fan/supporter/Heat hater, you gotta be satisfied with the score considering how bad Dirk is shooting the ball. He needs to drive the ball more to get himself going, those shots will start to fall. -

LeBron is on pace to be 0-2 in the Finals. Michael is 6-0. In LeBron's first Finals game, he had 14 points, 7 rebs, 4 asts. In Jordan's first Finals game, he had 36 points, 8 rebs, 12 asts. That's better than anything LeBron dropped in his 2 Finals runs to date. Can we please stop these comparisons?

http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/634042/LeBron-Every-Shot-big.jpg Credit to sbnation on creating the image. Thought this was interesting. It's mystifying how passively he plays as the game progresses. Not only has his efficiency dropped immensely by the fourth quarter, but he's shooting less FT's. Just look at the image, he has shot a total of 5, I repeat, 5 shots in the fourth quarter within 5 feet of the basket. That is ridiculous for a guy that big. -

But would you rather have the best player in the game doing too much, or staying complacent and not involving himself in the offense the way he should? -

And actually, the charge on LeBron (caused by Chandler), was the right call... http://nbaplaybook.com/2011/06/10/why-the-charge-on-lebron-james-was-the-right-call/ -

Problem is, he was playing aggressively in the first half, but completely went away from it as the game progressed..that just can't happen. And it goes back to my original point, he was simply just too tired, similar to the Boston series last year. Spo did a good job getting him the ball at different positions of attack. He took LBJ off of screens and even posted him up a few times, but then all of a sudden Wade comes back in and Bron relies on him more . -

I've been giving Spo a ton of credit recently, but today was not one of his best games coaching. The defense on Barea was terrible. And I think it's time to take LBJ off of Terry, Jet has figured him out now. Got to throw different looks at him to keep him confused. What's crazy is that the Heat made one FG after Wade's three with 4:37 left... and I believe that came off of LeBron's layup with 30 seconds left. Carlisle said it in the press conference, dribble penetration from Terry and Barea was huge. Props to them. And again, I said it after game 4, LeBron is not dribbling hard off the pick n roll. I don't care what people say after looking at the stat sheet, he was too complacent, especially in the fourth. Just like last year, he was lethargic in the fourth quarter...plain and simple. -
