I don't want to make excuses for Kanter, but his time at Stoneridge Prep wasn't that far removed from those knee issues we've been hearing about. Regardless, this is not the Enes Kanter I saw in the Hoops Summit. And his stats definitely refute all these points made by dX. http://www.thedraftreview.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6107 http://www.kentuckyregistrar.net/who-wants-to-be-a-blogger-season-3-the-enes-kanter-profiles/ Not sure how you grab 20 rebounds a game by being disinterested and not putting any effort into your game..But of course, this article doesn't exactly state how many games exactly is "the end of his senior season." DX did state however that these games were spanning from Novemver 2009 to January 2010, which begs the question, did Enes begin to hit his stride after January? Some of it is definitely concerning, and it seems like GM's have a completely different perspective on him. http://twitter.com/#!/chadfordinsider/status/78613494034993152

Jimmer Won't Accept Bucks' Workout Offer?
AboveLegit replied to The Lone Granger's topic in Milwaukee Bucks Team Forum
I agree, however I just can't fathom why a team like Milwaukee, after witnessing how bad Jennings is, can even think about drafting a guy like Jimmer. -
Because Derrick Williams is a better prospect than McGee is right now. We desperately need a guy like Williams, he's the perfect running mate for Wall and can stretch the floor. At #6 we hope that Kanter falls to us, or we just take a guy like Valaniunas.

This is a blessing in disguise for Milwaukee. -
I'd love to trade JaVale for the #2 straight up. I also think McGee and Love would be a nice frontcourt.

Finals GM4: Miami at Dallas (Miami Leads 2-1)

I don't think anyone is judging his career off this one game (I know I'm not), but they are giving him a lot of heat for playing last night as if it was a regular season game. -

I don't care about the media obsession over LBJ, all this hate he's receiving is completely justified. I'm still appalled at the lack of aggressiveness he gave in a rather important Finals game. For all this talk about him being compared to Jordan, he sure didn't help his case. Last night was an abysmal effort by him. -

You do a great job of coming off as a confident person despite being wrong 100% of the time. -

I don't think anyone had the ability to trash LeBron for his play this post season, he has been amazing, but tonight, he completely sucked. For a guy that says no one can guard him one on one, he felt very content with passing the ball. Someone tell him to wake up, it's the Finals. If I'm a Heat fan, I'm very disappointed in him. Wade and Bosh came to play, but he didn't. His game was pathetic, off pick n rolls, he was attacking laterally rather than looking to score, and instead of continuing his attack in the paint, once he see's Chandler he stops. If you notice in games, Wade continues to attack Chandler, and gets to the FT line. Big difference in mindsets....and people wonder why he's not getting to the line as often this series. That was a fantastic play set up by Spo, the back screen for Wade was the perfect time to run it, and they nearly had it. Dwyane just simply started to make his move before catching the ball. Carlisle switching to a zone late in the fourth really helped sparked the come back, Miami was confused and couldn't run anything on offense. That was huge for them, along with Chandler's rebounding. -

I was at the game where he dropped 41 in a preseason game against the Nets, just an amazing performance. I remember going to at least 10-15 games that year, most of them were sold out just so people could see him play (I think we led the league in attendance that season). He was absolutely dominant in that third quarter, I don't think he missed one shot in that stretch where we came back from a huge deficit. One of the most memorable performance I've witnessed live. -
I realize Monta is better than Lou, but their playing styles and build are quite similar. And I don't like the idea of a Jrue/Monta backcourt, it's just too small.. if it didn't work with Curry/Monta, why would it work now? Integrating him into this team will be a lot tougher than it looks, while they could definitely use his scoring, they will deeply miss Iggy on defense. I thought the whole idea behind Iggy being traded away was to give more freedom to Turner in the offense.. He needs the ball in order to be effective, bringing in a 20 FGA per game player won't help.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=6633355 Love it for GSW, not sure if I like it for Philly. Warriors get some much needed help on defense, and eliminates that undersized backcourt they've been running since drafting Curry. As for Philly, many of their fans hate the way Lou Williams plays off the bench, imagine what happens when they bring in virtually the same player. I'm sure it would be nice to bring Evan Turner into the starting lineup, I love his potential and believe he's going to have a breakout season in 2012, but they gotta look elsewhere if they plan on trading Andre. But I guess anything is better than the Hedo for Iguodala rumor that was going around earlier..

Warriors hire Mark Jackson as head coach
AboveLegit replied to Nitro's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
I think this is one of many bold moves coming for this franchise. I think Jerry West and the rest of the ownership wants to turn this franchise around completely and change the culture of the team. Monta could very well be on his way out, as they look to make Steph Curry the clear cut cornerstone of this franchise (as he should be). In that regard, it makes sense to hire a guy like Mark who was a good PG in his day. What confuses me though is that the front office wanted to bring in a more defensive minded coach, and Jackson is far from it. I view him more as a motivator and players coach such as Doc Rivers. It seems like they made this hiring simply because it was cheap. -
Definitely the Kobe to Shaq alley oop, one of the greatest moments in playoff history. Such a crucial play in game 7 of the WCF that all started with Kobe crossing up Pippen.

I want to see one of the Warriors practices this season... -
What's impressive is that despite being an off the ball player in Barca, he lead all PG's in steals and rebounds, while being in the top 3 in assists over the last two years. Even Hollinger admitted that Euro players tend to see a good increase in scoring and efficiency when making the transition to the NBA, as well as an increase in assists and rebounds.

Raptors Tanking/Draft Anticipation
AboveLegit replied to Check my Stats's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Draft Express was pretty critical of Enes today on Twitter, not sure you saw this BFT. http://twitter.com/#!/DraftExpress I know this is all from his high school days, but it's the only footage GM's have aside from the Hoops Summit Game. Obviously his strength is on the offensive end of the court, but this is concerning. -
He had a terrible season from what I've been reading, so maybe he just needs a change of scenery. I heard that the playing style of his coach and the amount of talent surrounding him has impeded his development as a player, so hopefully the transition will be easier for him. He needs to have the ball in his hands to be successful, what the coach was running in Spain just didn't fit Rubio's style. With him being such a terrible scorer, it helps to be so skilled in other areas such as passing, rebounding, and defense. Hopefully the Wolves utilize his talents properly, in the sense that they allow him to run pick n rolls with Love and either Williams or Beasley. Biggest issue with Minnesota was their stagnant offense (among many other flaws), Rubio will inject some positive energy into it. Hopefully Rambis is gone as head coach by next season, because he certainly hasn't done a good job developing talent, more specifically his point guards. The Flynn experiment was a disaster, Ramon Sessions got worse once he put on the Wolves uniform, Rubio can't afford to be in a system where he doesn't fit in.
