  1. Changed it for you Kyle, it's actually at 9pm EST not 6pm EST. I'm expecting the Mavs to make some adjustments to their offense, they need to space the floor better and help Dirk out when he gets doubled off those pick n rolls. Definitely a must win for Dallas.
  2. I think Spo needs to look into it more and see what's working, he can't let Dirk go off the way he did in the fourth and expect to win again. A few calls here and there for the Mavs, and they would have won it. But I must say, doubling Dirk off the PnR was great tonight, Miami did a nice job. Dirk needs to pass out of double teams better, but the shooters also need to show up.
  3. I think Haslem and Bosh have done a good job in the paint to contest lay ups, but Anthony overall has done a much better job individually on Nowtizki. Whenever Dirk got the ball when Joel was guarding him, he's unable to drive and is forced to kick it out or shoot over him (which isn't a completely bad idea). With Haslem on him, he has the option of putting the ball on the floor. Haslem is the better player on offense, but when Dirk is on the three point line, he struggles covering him.
  4. You're probably right, it could go both ways for Chandler, but from what I saw, Chandler was getting held far too many times. I think LBJ was playing great earlier on in the game. He was forcing the issue offensively, was getting to the lane at will, and had a nasty dunk on Mahinimi. But in the fourth, he got too content with shooting midrange shots and three's (although as a team I think the Heat did a better job with regards to the amount of three's taken). One thing I noticed was the defense played on Dirk. They're closing out way too hard on him, which allows him to get in the lane so easily. They need to fix that immediately.
  5. Refs have been horrible, but the FT disparity platoon was referring to could have been much, much worse. Not sure how many times Chandler was pushed or held by Haslem, Bosh, or Anthony in the paint. Confidence alluded to it earlier, he was getting absolutely raped. Either Spo is forgetting how great the LBJ/Wade PnR is, or he's just saving it for key possessions, but he needs to execute more often in games to get Bron going. He hasn't had that dominant impact on games that we all thought he would have. And I know Dirk is unstoppable to cover (really, he is), but I think Spo finally realizes Anthony is the better defender on Dirk than Haslem is. Smart decision by Spo to go with him rather than resorting to the same defender each play. Not sure why Dallas doubled LeBron on that final play, which left Bosh wide open for the lead.... Stupid, stupid mistake, especially with the way LBJ was playing, definitely an unnecessary play there.
  6. http://twitter.com/#!/SpearsNBAYahoo/status/77455817418350592 I could see him going to LA to join Mike Brown as an assistant coach. Makes a lot of sense and would be a good fit.

  8. 1. Truman Show 2. Dumb and Dumber 3. The Cable Guy 4. Liar Liar 5. Bruce Almighty Truman Show is by far my favorite.... very unique movie with great acting and storyline.
  9. http://content7.flixster.com/movie/11/15/79/11157925_det.jpg 10/10- Thought it was awesome, definitely my favorite movie so far this year. James McAvoy was great as Charles Xavier, his acting was incredible. But I really think Magneto stole the show with his performance, he was definitely my favorite character in the story, and the build up was terrific. The writing was probably the best part of the whole movie, it was just pure genius. The writers did a great job describing the origins of the xmen, and tied it to actual historical events..I was very impressed with that.
  10. Sucks what you're going through RD, hope you get better soon.
  11. I think the Suns have a better chance than the Wiz to aquire the 2nd pick simply because Kahn is interested in a veteran big man. I've also read reports that he likes Gortat. If they can offer him Robin Lopez and Gortat along with their current pick, he might take it. I don't see any team being interested in Blatche, so I'm guessing Wolves are asking for McGee. At that point, Grunfeld has a huge decision to make, because while JaVale is hard to watch at times, he's still an intriguing prospect with a ton of potential.
  12. But again, that relates back to my original point in that it doesn't always guarantee you victories. Yeah the Heat have gone this far with hero shots, but now they're in a situation they haven't faced yet, going into the opponents arena for 2 games with the series tied 1-1. I still am fairly confident they will win in 6 or 7simply because LBJ and Wade are unstoppable, but there is a great chance they lose because of their bad habits (can't imagine them winning in 5). Think about it, in game 1 they won due to their unusually great three point shooting. Game 2 they lose because for the most part, their players cooled off and didn't shoot particularly well from three (30% to be exact). What happens if all their role players play to their usually low expectations? Then you gotta rely heavily on the big three to produce big numbers, which isn't exactly a guarantee since they're in Dallas.
  13. Problem is though, Heat shot 30 three point shots for the entire game. You got every reason to stay confident, I can respect that, but it has to concern you that of all the games you have won, it seems as if the team is relying on hero shots from Wade and James, much like the Cavs of last year. I don't believe there's many similarities between the two teams, Heat are clearly better than Cleveland last year, but their formula for success is strikingly similar if you ask me.
  14. Agreed with BFT, there hasn't been much hate going on in this thread, and there hasn't been many knee jerk reactions lately. And I'll never understand why teams don't double the best player on the court in the final seconds of the game.. Let a role player beat you, not a player who's known for hitting big shots. http://i.imgur.com/LMDGK.jpg Really getting annoyed with Wade and James looking for fouls every play. Same thing goes for Durant..just play the game. There was a play (some time in the fourth) where LBJ went to the hoop and got no call, then he drives the very next play and got a bail out call. Refs need to be consistent with their calls.
  15. This makes me very, very happy. If we end up drafting a player not named Enes Kanter or Derrick Williams, I will be extremely disappointed.
  16. It goes both ways... Miami can't rely on Wade and James playing hero ball, but the problem is, the reason they were winning was because of their hero-esque plays down the stretch (and of course, their stifling defense). Reminds me a lot of Cleveland's offense in previous years, Spo needs to rectify that. Miami planned on playing help defense on Dirk on that last play, but due to Bosh's terrible defense, Dirk went away from it and got the easy lay up to win the game. What a terrible game from Chris. The ball denial by Marion on LBJ and Kidd on Wade in the last 4 minutes or so was excellent, Carlisle needs to be given a ton of credit.
  17. Lol I'm just happy it's all over. I absolutely hated waking up at 6am and having to deal with all these rules. I know college is more work and stressful, but at least I get to choose my class timings (yeah it's a big deal to me, I need my sleep) and have more freedom.
  18. Just graduated high school....[expletive] yeah.
