  1. Looks like the Thunder have been watching some tape of the Celtics in transition.
  2. Not much you can do when Durant is hitting his shots, kid is unbelievable when hot.
  3. Marc Gasol has spent more time whining than playing actual defense and boxing out.
  4. Conley is gambling a lot on defense, he should've gotten back on D rather than going for a steal.
  5. Great pass by Harden on the fastbreak, nice job setting Durant for three.
  6. Thunder are getting a lot of offensive rebs off of those long misses on 3pt attempts. Not much the Grizz can do though, they just aren't as athletic.
  7. Durant's second backdoor cut this half. Grizzlies gotta be aware of those.
  8. http://www.csnne.com/05/13/11/Breaking-news-Rivers-agrees-to-5-year-ex/landing_celtics.html?blockID=522084&feedID=3352 Woj has confirmed it over Twitter. Looks like the Celtics may have overpaid to keep him, but still is a very solid move. I can't imagine any other person coaching the big three, and I think it's great that he's staying long term, Rondo must be pleased with this.

  10. Mavs-Heat I don't consider myself a Mavs fan, but I always root for them in the west. I've always supported Dirk, and love his game. Out of the remaining players left in this league, he deserves a ring the most....and what better way to win it than to get revenge on the Heat after the abysmal 2006 Finals.
  11. Dwight and Griffin don't have much skill around the basket and rely on their athleticism to score, even more-so than Wade and James.. I'm referring more to the traditional big man game that Duncan and Shaq once had. For every great dunk these players have in games, there's about 6-7 FT's which they didn't deserve or decided to just draw contact to salvage a possession.
  12. You took the words right out of my mouth. You already alluded to this in your post, but it still shocks me that a team with virtually 3 players (and the occasional role player stepping up) can dominate a top 3 defense in the league like they did in this series. Game 1: 67 of 99 total pts Game 2: 80 of 102 total pts Game 3: 44 of 81 total pts Game 4: 83 of 98 total pts Game 5: 84 of 97 total pts And this is not even taking into account the number of assists LBJ and Wade rack up as playmakers in the offense.
  13. I don't see what's wrong with the appeal of watching someone breaking down a defense with actual skill. How can you honestly favor a player that simply puts his head down and drives recklessly to the basket over a guy as fundamentally sound as Duncan, KG, or Shaq? Just for a second, disregard Wade's ability to put on a show and hit big shots, and focus on this one aspect of his game. I'm not trying to take anything away from him, or this victory, it's nice to see new teams contending, but the one thing I just hate to watch is a player putting his head down to draw contact in order to generate offense for his team. I guess that's why I respect Kobe so much..
  14. Love the fact that we have three of the top 15 rookies this year. Trevor Booker may not be the most flashy player, but he's exactly what we were lacking during the Gilbert era. A tough big man who's willing to rebound and defend rather than looking to score.
  15. Because it's actual basketball....Drawing fouls requires acting lessons.
  16. Meh, I'd rather see someone with fundamentals work in the paint and lead a team to the finals than putting his head down and driving to the basket to draw fouls.
  17. Fixed. He had an average game before the closing minutes. Too many turnovers, and at one point was shooting 6-15 if I remember correctly. West was playing great, and was making smart decisions. There wasn't much Rondo could do, he could barely shoot the ball tonight. Way too early to tell right now, but Chicago will only get stronger and Orlando may be motivated and will try to build a more competent team around DH12. I'm really pessimistic right now in regards to Boston, there's just so many question marks right now. Big Baby and Delonte's contracts are up, Shaq is done, JO is only getting older as well as the big three, and they don't have any solid trade pieces to make any noise in the offseason.
  18. I don't know about you guys, but after watching this series, I have very little confidence in any team other than Miami winning it all this year. Chicago just doesn't have the firepower to beat them, Boozer has played terrible, and their offense is relying to heavily on Rose. Yeah, Memphis has the size advantage and have great perimeter defense, but LBJ and Wade are legends in the making, they will find a way to dominate. Dallas also has the size advantage, but again, LBJ and Wade are just too much. That last minute of this game was all I needed to see in order to believe they will win it all. (This is coming from someone who doubted them all year up until this very moment).
  19. That was ridiculous. I'm completely shocked right now. We all just witnessed the downfall of the short big three era in Boston. I've lost all faith in them moving forward, they looked completely done out there in the fourth. Physically, they just can't handle a long run in the playoffs...and this was coming off a sweep in the first round. I thought Dwyane got a ton of favorable calls in that game, but there's no excuses for Boston, they gave this game away.
  20. Agreed with BFT, Ed Davis deserves it over Favors. As for Monroe, I may have even gave him the nod over Cousins. Crawford should be over Johnson and Bledsoe. Not sure how Eric made the team anyway.
  21. lol yea probably a lot of people have told that to me already, but it's either morning classes or evening classes. I prefer getting them over with so I can chill the rest of the day.
