  1. They kind of remind me of the Grizzlies team back when Hubie coached them. They run 10 deep (and Mozgov and Forbes can help them as well). They also have two very intelligent players running the point, which allows Karl to let them run. If players get tired, they have the luxury of bringing in a legitimate sub off the bench and really not lose a step. They will run into problems once teams shorten their benches in the playoffs, but they should be ok in the regular season. Don't be surprised if this team wins 50 games.
  2. Considering Austin is probably going to be a top 5 pick, and the Clippers will be better next year, I don't think so.
  3. Apparently they offered 2 first rounders, 1 second rounder, and Ronnie Brewer, and the Grizz declined. I don't know how much more they could have offered.
  4. While Chris Bosh will likely not have a game as bad as he did tonight, I do expect him to struggle against a much more physical frontcourt of Chicago's. He was absolutely getting dominated in the low post against Boozer, and it clearly effected his mentality. If they meet up in the playoffs, I don't expect him to be much of a factor. That being said, this match up is extremely close. Both teams are great on defense, probably the two best when it comes to closing out on shooters. Once Noah gets back into shape and starts to get comfortable, this team will be dangerous. When you see LeBron and Wade scoring almost every point in the second half, you know you're in trouble. That frontcourt of Chicago will give them a TON of problems in a 7 game series.
  5. He's already said it's winning this year or he's leaving. Now it's not a guarantee that he does, but after seeing multiple superstars leave for larger markets, I don't see why he wouldn't. Not everyone is going to pull a Carmelo and publicly state that he wants to go to a specific team... There's a strong possibility that they do. Brook Lopez is an enticing piece that's still on his rookie contract. Williams has stated that there's a strong possibility that he does sign, so if he does, it only makes the Nets a more attractive option for future FA's.
  6. I'm not the only one who has proposed the idea of Dwight coming to the Nets, Rich Bucher stated the possibility earlier today, and it just seems like a logical fit given his current situation. I don't understand how it is unlikely at all.

  8. 1 three pointer for the Bulls that half, mainly due to Miami's ability to close out on shooters.
  9. What makes you think the Nets can't land Dwight next season? Given the current age of superstars wanting out, GM's are constantly looking to put their team in the best position moving forward, so I'm sure they will at least field some offers for Dwight this time next year, ESPECIALLY if they don't win a ring this year. Brook Lopez and a few pieces here and there should do the trick because really, what better options are out there for Orlando? In 2006, the Celtics were in a similar situation, and I'm sure you were doubting their ability to build a true contender for years to come given that roster, right? So much can happen in this league in such a short period of time, I'm sorry but you're not using your head right now.
  10. You really don't understand the concept of building a team, do you?
  11. Finally, after all these years of having that dusty old system in my basement, I can finally put it to good use.
  12. It's not like he'll be caged in Boston his whole life because he decides to sign there..
  13. http://twitter.com/#!/gwashburn14/status/40921406325784576 Damn.... Sleep with one eye open Ainge, Perk is comin for ya. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l2os6oOcBR1qc13yoo1_400.jpg
  14. Let's not forget guys, by 2012 the Celtics will have a total of 2 players under contract, Rondo and Pierce..(maybe Bradley, if they decide to keep him). Dwight Howard to Beantown.
  15. lol I wasn't saying to give him more minutes, you misinterpreted my post.
  16. I have always felt like he lucked into that role of a starter on an exciting young playoff team. I followed him since the beginning of his college career at Georgetown, and always felt like he was best suited as a 6th man. Give him more minutes, and you see him take more and more contested shots, and his weaknesses begin to show more and more. Playing behind Pierce would be great for him.
  17. According to David Aldridge, he won't since he's too out of shape.
  18. Highly doubt it, multiple reports have stated that the Wizards will not buyout Bibby, he's going to have to suffer just like Rashard has.
  19. Doc Rivers must have been behind this, he wants them to draft Austin.
  20. It's worth it for the Cavs, they got a lot of ping pong balls in the lottery now, imagine if they strike gold with Irving or Jones? I know the draft class is weak and there's a high possibility of both of those players staying in school, but you never know. I think it's worth it.
  21. I heard Rondo was his closest friend, so I imagine he's enraged by this.
