  1. Just run a pick n roll against us, and you're bound to score. Story of the game tonight, what a terrible performance.
  2. Yeah and he's a good shooter, but I'm wondering what we would get in return, I highly doubt we go after Marvin Williams. Maybe Teague and a draft pick..
  3. Am I reading the score correctly? Heat are up 42-19...
  4. Good deal for both teams, Chicago most likely has a deal in place for a SG, and Toronto gives up a meaningless pick in a weak draft for a prospect to work with.
  5. Flip said that both Nick and Shard will be limited tonight since we're on a back to back, but with a re-energized John Wall and JaVale McGee, I'm expecting a win.
  6. http://twitter.com/#!/SHowardCooper/status/40146300167127040 Should they just shut him down for the remainder of the season?
  7. Just read an article on the possibility of CP3, Dwill, or Dwight Howard joining Amare and Melo in New York.. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&page=Knicks-2012-110222

  9. I remember how many people (including me) were trashing Ujiri for asking for too much in return for Melo, now he's looking like a genius. Very happy for Nuggets fans, they won't have to go through a long rebuilding process, and have the opportunity to make more moves to further strengthen their core.
  10. Great trade for the Clips, this draft class doesn't have many players that are better than Gallinari. I would've thought the Nuggets would hold onto him for the time being, but I guess they want Wilson Chandler for the future at that 3 spot.
  11. Melo and Amare are making close to how much the Heat trio are making..explain to me how the Knicks manage to sign Paul or Williams.. They gave up virtually every trade asset they have, and will have a much tougher time building a supporting cast around their duo than the Heat.
  12. Nuggets, they're already off to a quick start in their rebuilding process.
  13. Looks like Amare will be playing more and more at the C and Melo will have to get used to defending some PF's throughout the game. They were already weak to begin with at the 5, they have no depth now. I can't describe to you all how stupid this deal is for the Knicks. They couldn't wait 5 months? They got a long way to go before they can even dream of beating the Celtics or Heat.
  14. No idea, nothing is finalized till tomorrow apparently. http://twitter.com/#!/SpearsNBAYahoo/status/39888578427355137
  15. Knicks gave up too many players IMO, I still stand by what I said earlier, they should have just gotten him over the summer. They are giving up some quality talent right there. Good move for the Nuggets. Knicks are still where they were before Melo, the fifth best team in the East (yes I know the Hawks are technically the fifth best, but I believe NY is better come playoff time).
  16. All of them aside from Reggie Miller were considered superstars at some point in their career... If you say otherwise I have nothing else to say.
  17. Brandon Jennings, terrible passer, terrible shot selection, and doesn't know how to run an offense. He's the second coming of Gilbert Arenas, except not nearly as good of a scorer. I would also say Joe Johnson, but no one talks about him anymore..
  18. I want a sim league as well, but it just never seems to work out in the end. The first few days go great, but after that, people lose interest. I just don't think it's worth all the trouble.
  19. The truth is it's about the same to get in the lane than it always has been, things are just different now. It's tougher to drive because of pseudo-zones, but at the same times because no team is allowed to play a traditional zone the defenses still get stretched a good bit because of the three point shot is such an instrumental part of the most teams offenses. But back in the day it was just as hard to drive because while there wasn't zones, defenses didn't extend themselves as much as they do now, so why teams could isolate there wasn't as much distance for a weakside defender to cover. My biggest concern with Kobe's game is his decision making. Jordan had the higher bball IQ because he knew his limitations, while you often see Kobe jacking up terrible shots instead of trusting his teammates. That's always been a huge knock on Kobe, but he has learned a bit from that ever since Shaq left. Obviously Jordan had it different in his day, but come on, the glaring differences in FG% are just too much for one to just ignore. Jordan had 7 straight seasons with 30PPG or more, Kobe has reached that feat three times in his career. I agree with you that Kobe has the wider arsenal on offense, but as to who's the better player at getting the ball into the hoop, you gotta give it to Jordan.
