Owners will always side with profits over fan satisfaction. Good move for them, could help pay off luxury taxes, etc.

Agreed, especially during the fight sequences when he kept talking to Bruce.

Plays a lot like a prime Gilbert Arenas. I'm impressed with him the past week, he's stellar off the pick and roll, and while he's had the green light on almost every possession, you can't underplay how incredible some of his scoring outputs have been.

Linsanity is Officially Over for NYK
AboveLegit replied to NomarFachix's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Melo on the Nuggets wasn't a predominantly iso heavy offense. Naturally when you have a scorer like Melo, there are bound to be a handful of plays where he's going 1 on 1, but George Karl is known to run a free flowing offense that features a lot of ball movement and player movement. -

lol @ the thought of an isolation offense working for a full season. Seriously, good luck with that. And if you think Ray Felton is what he was 2 years ago, I don't know what to tell you. And sorry if I'm over emphasizing the single most important aspect of this generations game, dribble penetration. -
Most intense 2 hours 45 mins of my life. Just an incredible, action packed film. As for the ending, I don't mind it, sort of sets it up for the next person to take the reigns from Nolan, although if they do reboot it, they probably do it from the start again. Tom Hardy was a monster in this movie, the fight scenes were flawless.

And if you think you can live with two PG's who aren't as effective getting into the lane you don't watch much basketball. -

Why are people overlooking Kidd's lack of ability to get into the lane? Knicks thrive on dribble penetration. He's going to make some great skip passes to Amare and Melo, his passes will be more on target, but most of his passes are from the perimeter where he's basically surveying the floor like a QB. -

The reward outweighs the risk significantly. Larry Coon's article on insider really drives home my point. -
Knicks Decide Not To Match Jeremy Lin's Offer Sheet
AboveLegit replied to ChosenOne's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
If you want to keep Chandler's production high, that's what needs to be run. Those PnR's are what causes so many problems for defenses because Chandler is such an instinctual player, and while it does come at the expense of Stoudemire, it's essential to keep running them. With the coaching staff, you have to believe they will find a way to reinvigorate Amare the way they did with Melo late in the season by playing him at the 4 spot. If that means playing Amare more with the second unit, so be it. Felton can't replicate the skill set Lin brings to the table. Sure, you can point to the lack of a larger sample size for Lin, but you can't refute how well he meshes with this team. -
Knicks Decide Not To Match Jeremy Lin's Offer Sheet
AboveLegit replied to ChosenOne's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Based on what though? Sure, Felton played well in his time with the Knicks, but Kidd hasn't really played a traditional PG role in a while (which explains why Felton will start over him). Really, it's Felton or bust in New York, and that's not exactly the best situation to be in. Can we really expect the offense to be run the way Lin ran it? Kidd can't penetrate the lanes anymore and Felton's turnover rates (especially in the fourth quarter) were atrocious. The Knicks offense was predicated on Chandler pick and rolls, and drawing the defense in to kick it out to shooters like Novak, I don't see it being as effective now with Lin out of the mix. Is Lin replaceable? Obviously. But did the Knicks do enough this offseason to replace him? No. I think they made a mistake not matching the Rockets offer. -
Is JR Smith the most underpaid player in the NBA?
AboveLegit replied to TheNotoriousBANG's topic in General NBA Discussion
No. -
Dallas had all 5 starters over 30 years old last season. Now they probably have 2 or 3. It's a bit premature to not consider Mayo a second scoring option. There's a very good chance that happens in Dallas.

Report: Lakers To Sign Antawn Jamison

Solid signing, but I'm much more interested in the possible signing of Brandon Rush. Would be a great addition. -
Wizards officially amnesty Andray Blatche

I don't think I've ever hated a Wizards player before. Players have frustrated me in the past, but never to this degree. Thank God we can finally put that era behind us. -
Donatas Motiejunas looks pretty good.

Didn't get a chance to see him, but that's a great stat line regardless of the talent surrounding him. -
This whole album... dope

Nets resign Brook Lopez (4-year $61 million)
AboveLegit replied to The Regime's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
Basically takes them out of the Dwight Howard sweepstakes. He can't be traded till January 15th. Brooklyn were forced to max him out, so I can understand why they did this to a player who doesn't deserve anywhere near this amount of cash, but it's still a terrible signing for an above average talent that doesn't rebound or defend. -
Lakers close to Dwight deal, Nets out of the race?

Lol, please don't use MySportsLegion as a source... -
And imagine a lineup of Wade/Allen/Battier/Lebron/Bosh in crunch time... Scary. Or sub in Chalmers for Battier. Spo is going to have a lot of fun with these lineups.

Can't blame him for leaving, Danny Ainge's persistence to trade him the past 2-3 years, along with Rondo's attitude was just too much for him. Knowing Boston fans, they're going to be hostile towards Ray, and will convince themselves that Ray essentially gave Pierce, KG, and Doc the middle finger and went to the enemy. But everyone knows Danny Ainge gave him the finger first. To be honest though, he means more to Miami than he does Boston now anyway. His strengths are undoubtedly more emphasized in Miami because he's going to be relegated to what he does best- spot up. In Boston, he got the same looks, but his role on the team was more magnified, causing defenses to focus more on him. This was a great move for him, and as for Boston, I think a player like Jason Terry, and possibly OJ Mayo will have a greater impact.
