  1. The great thing about Stephen is his ability to distribute the ball. The Bulls don't have a good distributor outside of Rose. But even though Jackson is a decent defender and 3 point shooter that can create his own hot, his FG percentage is atrocious. I would not give up a guy like Taj Gibson for him to be honest. I think he would be good in Chicago's system, and can probably be a more effective player despite his numbers going down. But the cost for a guy like him is too much. He tends to put up either big or at the very least solid numbers, but doesn't do so efficiently. So unless the Bulls, who are going to have to match salaries by adding either Watson, Korver, or Brewer to the deal, are getting something significant back, using Gibson would be a bad idea. Is he the missing piece to this Bulls squad? No. I would much rather like to see them go after OJ Mayo, who would be great for them immediately and long term. He can spread the court and would play a role similar to Ben Gordon a few years ago. Memphis doesn't have an offense like Chicago, so I'm sure his numbers would go up. Right now Mayo can't spot up and consistently get good looks because everything is iso based. In Chicago, both Rose and Boozer draw double teams, and with the way Deng has shot the ball, adding another solid 3 point shooter would be great for them. Transition and finding the open man in the half court would easily get him at the very least the same amount of shots he's getting now. But I'm still not convinced it would be enough to compete with Boston and Miami. They would be considered a top team for sure, but I just cannot see them beating Boston or Miami in a 7 game series.
  2. UGH Only reason why I'm watching now is to see Greivis Vasquez...
  3. Everyone looks so tired out there, very sloppy play coming out of our starters. Ugh.
  4. He's like a Josh Freeman or a Big Ben. I hope the Skins draft him despite drafting a QB before out of Auburn (Jason Campbell). Freeman matured in such a short time which makes me think Cam can get it down. His motion looks fine to me, and he's obviously more mobile. Take into account his size, star power, and success and it becomes difficult to find someone to compare him to accurately. Tebow is probably the closest, except Newton seems more talented. I doubted Cam before because he came out of nowhere as a prospect, but after looking at him a little more in depth, he seems really special.
  5. Terrible first quarter, we are giving up so many points. We need JaVale, badly.
  6. Pinned. Now I can talk to myself after every Maryland game. :glasses:
  7. Love XV, good up and coming artist. Vizzy Zone is sick, I loved every song off it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsZUSP1p20s
  8. Then stop posting in here. Go watch basketball wives.
  9. The thing about Abbot is that he's not saying Kobe isn't a great shooter in the clutch, but on a relative basis, he's just average. 31.1% isn't terrible, but only slightly above league average. The only two players who are actually "good" on this list in the clutch are Paul and Anthony according to his numbers. He does make some intelligent points, but it doesn't paint the whole picture. Clutch is much more that making shots in close games when your team is down 2. Clutch is also making the shot to stop a 2nd or 3rd quarter run, it's getting those shots in to put that team to rest halfway through the 4th. It's making the shots to get your team back in the game, even if another teammate makes the shot that puts your team in the lead. There's a lot more to it than just hitting a buzzer beater, and that's not presented in this article. He did mention that Kobe isn't the best guy to take the last shot throughout his career, but he seems to be focusing a lot more on events that have happened 5 years ago. Last year Kobe was great in the clutch and made a lot of buzzer beaters. Yeah, he hasn't been the best over his career (numbers don't lie in this instance), but it's ridiculous to say you don't want him in critical situations. The thing about this clutch talk is that we only seem to remember the good times. If you have followed Kobe the way RD or most Laker fans have, you'd be fooling yourself to say he doesn't take bad shots in the clutch, and has indeed missed the majority of them ('09 Finals being the most recent instance). Which in turn hurts his efficiency late in games as well as statistical value. You could say that he's forced to take these shots due to personnel or the fact that he won't settle for anything less than the last shot (due to his selfish nature). If you've seen most of his games throughout his career, you would say it's a healthy dose of both. And because of this, he will never be statistically great in this aspect.
  10. Lol yeah that was definitely a dirty play by KG.
  11. Definitely, although they did give up a huge play near the end of the game where Georgetown's center was basically all by himself in the paint for the easy dunk. Austin Freeman has a dominant game today, this kid is just amazing.
  12. Terrible no call by the ref, Daye was clearly fouled.
  13. Sigh.... This game especially shows how important JaVale is to this team. While it did give Trevor an opportunity to show why we drafted him in the first round, he could not do what only JaVale can do on this team, and that's shot blocking. Westbrook got ANYTHING and EVERYTHING he wanted in the paint, he drove at will. If JaVale was in the post, I guarantee you he wouldn't drop 35. But I'm glad we kept on fighting, John had another horrid night, but a lot of guys stepped up. Dray played well for the most part (seems like I say that every time he has a good game), Yi had a great night and was huge for us on the boards, and as I mentioned earlier, Trevor played his best game as a NBA player. This kid clearly has potential, hopefully Flip plays him more and more. I'm extremely concerned with how John has been playing as of late. He's been so hesitant shooting the ball, he's not stepping into his shot on a consistent basis, and he's not keeping his dribble alive and not attacking the basket. And he really has been playing terrible defense as well.. Ty Lawson, Chauncey Billups, and Russell Westbrook have all gotten their way with him. I think we're getting real close to that first road win, hopefully it's tomorrow in Memphis.
  14. lol it was probably staged, but still funny seeing everyone else fail on their dunk attempts.
  15. Portland caught Boston sleeping and are suddenly back in the game. Celtics need to just give Ray the ball, no one can hit FT's.
  16. Not a bad half so far, just gotta limit the turnovers (both teams). Nice physical half, should be a great second half.
  17. What a great game. Still scratching my head over that play designed to give Chalmers the shot at the end. I know he was wide open, but damn, you gotta give it to Wade or Jones. And LeBron still cannot finish in the paint unless he's running down the court with a head of steam.
  18. Don't understand why this is such a big deal, it's a smart move by the league.
  19. Yeah, I'm guessing VY gets another chance to prove himself. I think Fisher will take a year off.
  20. Not really, he just didn't know it was banned. It was an honest mistake.
  21. http://twitter.com/#!/STEIN_LINE_HQ/status/30749625199624192 Same exact steroid Shard used when he was suspended last year for 10 games.
  22. Chad Ford ESPN Insider It's an insider article, but I found it on Bullets Forever so it's legit. I don't see anyone being interested in him, but might as well try shopping him around to see if there's any takers.
  23. Out of that whole list, Wall is by far the best passer. Not to mention he's arguably the fastest one. If he can somehow luck his way into making that three point shot, I think he has the best shot to win it. You can vote here: http://www.nba.com/chooseyoursquad/?ls=iref:nbahpt1
  24. Oh I know what you mean, I'm not saying it's a guarantee that he will be a good player, but based on what I see, I think it's alright to say he's a safe pick late in the first round. He's worth the risk. And there's nothing wrong with being like JJ Redick, he struggled early on in his career, but has developed into a nice role player on a championship caliber team. He has improved drastically on defense. And let's not forget the same criticism was over Steph Curry when he declared for the draft. Like Warren said, if he's in the right system, he can be a good player in the NBA.
  25. I don't see how he can be labeled a bust when he's probably a mid to late first rounder.. Adam Morrison is a bust because he went #3.
