  1. Magic's 9 game win streak is snapped. Tough loss for them, Dwight missing those 2 FT's were huge.
  2. HEDO HITS THE 3!!! Stupid, stupid decision by the Hornets by not fouling Dwight, they even had a foul to give...
  3. Tough break for the Magic, just couldn't boxout Thornton.. But Paul misses a FT and Magic are down by 3. Let's see what happens.
  4. JRich with two HUGE three point shots, wow. Hornets had this game won, but they simply don't guard the three well enough.

  6. What an inspirational speech made by President Obama just now at the memorial service, just amazing. Analysts on CNN were comparing his 30 minute speech to Reagan's 4 minute speech after Challenger and Clinton's 8 minute speech in Oklahoma. Text of Obama's speech Great to hear from him, he spoke about how Gifford opened her eyes for the first time when he visited her at the hospital. A defining moment in his presidency for sure.
  7. http://twitter.com/#!/MikeVick Congrats to Mike, very well deserved.
  8. I hardly watch hockey though. I'm a football and basketball type guy, and both have disappointed me way too much, especially the Redskins.
  9. I've always liked the Celtics somewhat because I'm a huge fan of Pierce, but I really became a big fan of them when Garnett (my favorite player at the time) got traded there. I guess that's considered bandwagoning. -_- But hey, I need to have fun watching basketball every now and then (or sports for that matter) since I live in DC. Yeah I'm officially a depressed sports fan.

  11. I think his tweet was intended for Dan Gilbert, not the whole city of Cleveland. In that case, I don't really think this is a dick move on his part.

  14. Agreed, it was a pathetic ending, but to say we didn't deserve the victory is taking it a bit too far. Once again most of the blame lies on Flip and his inability to manage the game. Nick even said it in his post game interview, "some of it was just boneheaded plays, but we were also tired..." (not a direct quote, just what I remember of it). He basically played a 7-man rotation the entire 2nd half. Wall and Young look out of it. Blatche has no shoulder and 5 fouls. McGee wouldn't leave his man to help Wall. Flip looks disconsolate. I won't completely call Flip out, I understand we're a young, immature group with a very low bball IQ, but Flip needs to realize that and make up for it. If he isn't up to the task, he needs to be fired. And stop trying to downplay this win Jeet, I don't get to enjoy many of these...
  15. No way we deserve to lose this game, not with Nick Young playing the way he played tonight. The refs were terrible, they gave Sacramento so many opportunities late in the game, such as the no call on Kirk or the miscall on the Cousins rebound (the ball went off his hand, not JaVale's).
  16. [expletive] the weatherman, he said it would snow, and it hardly did All we're getting is freezing rain.
  17. Probably set out a goal for himself to see how many tech's he can pick up in less than a week with the news rules and all..
  18. No Tyreke Evans tonight, we better win this..
  19. Eh, I don't know if I agree with that. The evidence is there, they showed a ton of replays that clearly showed the wrist was down, that's about as much evidence you need to overturn the initial call. Auburn deserved to win the game, I'm not saying the refs were the reason they won, but they definitely made a mistake there. And it all lies on Oregon anyway, they had a chance to win but decided to forgo the field goal and opt for a TD. When you know how good Auburn's linemen are, and how good they have been playing, you gotta stay conservative every once in a while and get the sure points.
  20. http://30fps.mocksession.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/2011-January-11-0-2-50.jpeg I don't know, common sense but when another player is the only reason you aren't literally laying down on the ground then you are down. I wanted Auburn to win, but it really did seem like his wrist touched the ground. when 22 players on the field stopped playing, hell Dyer himself thought the play was over, that's gotta tell you something. The coaches on the sideline always encourage you to keep on playing till the whistle blows, which is fine and all, but this can't be the way to close out a game like this. I've always hated games decided by the refs, so I'll stick with it.

  22. Here we go, huge play. Auburn's D needs to come up big once again.
