Year You Became a Fan: 2003-2004 Why You Became a Fan: Saw in them a better alternative as a city representatives in the game of basketball to Lakers. A lot of the Laker fans I personally knew back then behaved in an uncivilized, corrupt, offensive manner. I saw a connection between their behavior and their idolized players' behavior in Bryant, Fisher, Shaq, Horry, etc... and it never was pretty. The unfair referring in favor of Lakers regardless of their opponents also played role. When I started watching NBA, I was expecting fair games, with teams having more or less an equal opportunity. Winning is important when there are fair conditions,thus for me watching one team having the best players due to bigger financial resources and networking - does not satisfy me as a fan. It does not properly measures strength, skill of any of the 30 teams and does not generate pride.That applies to any NBA team having an unfair advantage due to the system setup.
